I cannot recommend this business and believe others should beware of using their services. The car wash damaged my vehicle and they weren’t willing to assist in fixing the problem caused by their equipment.

I’m new to the area, and recently took 3 of my vehicles in for an oil change which went well and was appreciated from this perspective. They offered a promotional free car wash for the oil change. When I redeemed the promotional car wash, my car was damaged. My vehicle is equipped with a retractable power antenna. Somehow the equipment in the car wash snagged it and pulled it up and to the side and broke it internally.

I spoke with the manager on duty (Bryan), and he took pictures and reported it. After it was reviewed, I was told that because of the age of my vehicle, it’s mileage and condition and because they don’t repair antenna’s that they weren’t willing to offer any assistance.

This of course is disappointing so the only reasonable recourse I have within my means is to warn others of my experience, and the policies they have in place. They aren’t willing to assist in damages caused by their equipment or processes. I was hoping they would at least be willing to meet me on the cost of the replacement part. I will want to replace this as I have no radio reception, this is more than cosmetic. Side note, I also have some slight bending to the car body under the rubber grommet where the antenna mounts.

I did take a little bit of insult to the response I was given as I don’t understand how the age or mileage or condition of my vehicle should play into the decision (it’s my car and I like it and am working on restoring it and keeping it nice). And the actual break is more than just an easily and cheaply replaced antenna. It broke some of the internals and it is going to be an expensive part to replace.

Needless to say, I would recommend not doing business with an establishment that will offer no assistance to damages to their vehicles caused by their equipment. Or with subjective policies (think age, mileage of my vehicle).

I will find another establishment for both oil changes and car wash, and recommend the same to any of my friends and family.

Details on my vehicle; A 2002 Pontiac Trans Am with 176K miles or so. I think it’s in decent condition.

See the attached pictures of the power antenna and the damages.

Splash Car Wash, like everything else, a carwash is getting expensive, however with the wash programs, it’s greatly simplified to keep your vehicle clean and they allow multiple visits. Big bonus feature is the powerful vacuum system. The most expensive wash is about $20.00, do this twice in a month and you would have paid for the monthly rate. Sign up today and wash your vehicle as many times as you like.

Scratched up both sides of my brand new (2009) Tahoe, I had pictures to show before and they can see the after. It still has paper tags and I bought it because it was in immaculate condition. The manager called me and said if it was a 2022 or meter we could talk but since it’s an “old” car there’s nothing they’ll do. I also signed up for membership that day and asked him to cancel after the first wash and he said he will cancel it next month but no refunds on that either. Soooo here we are.

I got an oil change and they looked at the cabin filter and it was messed up. The guy who pulled it out said it had been installed wrong. I asked if they could replace it for free since they installed it wrong. The guy asked the manager and he said no. I talked to the manager and he blamed the problem on me saying that I had too much stuff in my glove box. The first guy did not say that and I don’t see how that could’ve been the case anyway. I paid over $80 and they can’t replace something they put in wrong to begin with.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Paid $25 for their best wash only to leave with my new truck being scratched down to the bare metal, spots all over the truck and mediocre cleaning at best from a truck that wasn’t even dirty. Going home to hand wash it now and try to figure out what to do about my paint issue. Lost $25 for nothing and lord knows what I’ll lose to get the paint fixed. Trying to be as polite as I can be as I am a person that really never leaves reviews. I can deal with the spotty mediocre clean and would be fine just not going back without saying anything but the paint is what has me upset.

I love having this great car wash on this side of town. Everything is nice, new and shiney! I used the drive through car wash and it really did a great job. The vacuums have strong suction and easy to get in all of the nooks and crannies. This is the car wash that I will be using.

Don’t come here unless you plan on using the mediocre automatic wash. The vending machine is never stocked and I’ve encountered instances where one of the soaps is always not functional. No one is ever here to help and you have to call a number.

The Ultimate Guide to Car Wash Clearances Across the US

The clearance of most car washes is typically around 7 feet. This means that if your vehicle measures 7 feet or lower from the ground to the highest point, it should be able to fit comfortably in a standard car wash. However, it is important to note that there can be variations in clearance among different car wash facilities, so it’s always a good idea to check with the specific car wash you plan to use if you have any concerns about your vehicle’s clearance.

Here are some key points to keep in mind regarding car wash clearance:

  • Standard car washes usually have a clearance of around 7 feet.
  • Some car washes may have a higher clearance to accommodate larger vehicles like trucks and SUVs.
  • Before entering a car wash, it’s essential to measure your vehicle’s height to ensure it will fit comfortably without any risk of damage.
  • Low clearance vehicles, such as sports cars or modified cars with lowered suspension, should exercise caution and confirm the car wash’s clearance before proceeding.
  • If your vehicle exceeds the clearance of a standard car wash, you may need to seek out specialized car wash facilities that can accommodate taller vehicles.

Remember, it’s crucial to take the necessary precautions when using a car wash to protect your vehicle. Knowing the clearance of the car wash facility you plan to use can help prevent any potential damage and ensure a smooth cleaning experience. If in doubt, always consult with the car wash staff for guidance on vehicle clearance.

How much does it cost to wash your car in the USA?

Here are some factors that can affect the cost of car washes in the USA:

  • Type of car wash: The type of car wash you choose will have a big impact on the cost. Automatic car washes are typically less expensive than touchless car washes, and full-service car washes are the most expensive.
  • Location: The location of the car wash can also affect the cost. Car washes in urban areas are typically more expensive than car washes in rural areas.
  • Size of the car: The size of your car will also affect the cost of the car wash. Larger cars will typically cost more to wash than smaller cars.
  • Additional services: You may also choose to add additional services to your car wash, such as undercarriage cleaning, tire shine, or interior vacuuming. These additional services will typically cost extra.

Here is a table of some average car wash prices in the USA:

Type of car wash Average price
Basic automatic car wash $10 – $20
Touchless car wash $15 – $30
Full-service car wash $20 – $50

It is important to note that these are just average prices, and the actual cost of a car wash may vary depending on the factors listed above.

Here are some tips for saving money on car washes:

  • Wash your car yourself: This is the most cost-effective way to clean your car.
  • Look for coupons or discounts: Many car washes offer coupons or discounts, so be sure to check before you go.
  • Wash your car during off-peak hours: Car washes are typically more expensive during peak hours, so try to wash your car during off-peak hours to save money.
  • Consider a membership: Some car washes offer memberships that can save you money on washes over time.

  1. HOLY COW!!! Major upgrade to vacuums!! I believe the wash itself is doing much better. To bad competition had to come into town before these upgrades took place

6/21/21……we’ll, even with the upgrades to the vacuums the car wash still sucks! I’ll be glad when the new car wash opens up!!!

Well……this car wash continues to SUCK, don’t use!

  2. SHYSTER WARNING
It wouldn’t have been a big deal if they would have at least had honest business practices but not only did their wash machine NOT wash my car but then the employees proceeded to tell me that they could run my car through again and if that did not work I could come back when Mike was there to recieve a refund. But when I came back to see Mike he looked at my car and said his machine couldnt get the dirt off bc it was sun baked but that I couldn’t have a refund because they had ran my car back through a second time. So legit they set me up to not be able to get a refund by outright lying about the process. When I asked Mike why his employees told me to let them run it through AND THEN if it still didnt work I could get a refund, he yelled at me to go find another carwash and turned his back. Shyster.

  3. D M Reply

Got employees playing on phones instead of directing cars In making the car wash actually has soap. They just spray your tire and send you through. Go to the other car wash.

  4. VERY RUDE MANAGER IN CABOT. DO NOT GO THERE. I LIKE A CLEAN CAR SO I SIGNED UP FOR A MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP. AFTER I SAW THE SCRATCHES ON MY CAR I WANTED TO CANCEL. NOT ONLY DID THEY CHARGE ME FOR THIS MONTH BUT CHARGED ME FOR NEXT MONTH ALSO AND I JUST SIGNED UP 2 DAYS AGO. HAD I READ ALL THE COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM I WOULD HAVE STAYED CLEAR OF THE THE NEEDLESS AGGRAVATION. ZERO STARS!!!

  5. I love this car wash! It’s the best around town! The service and staff are amazing. Always willing to help. Thank you Rhino. Now go get your vehicle washed by the best🤩😁👍👍👍👍😊
