Going to Costco is like a day at Disney. Planning ahead is key. I was shocked at how packed this location was, but we managed to find parking. It was easy to get a physical ID card after purchasing an online membership months ago. Bonus coupons I’d heard about were not available. We had to try a hotdog. The kids loved it, I did not. It tasted more like a greasy sausage to me.

I got an electric wheelchair, knowing I couldn’t make it through the whole store. There were plenty available and all fully charged. It stopped working halfway through the store and still had battery. I abandoned it there and used my cane the rest of the trip. They should do quality checks on those.

Prices were all great and most of the food was good. Avoid any bread and fruit. It was all molding within days and still not at the “best by” date.

Polly, the awesome sample lady let us try Freshpet even though our dog wasn’t with us! Update: The dog loves it (duh) and Polly was very informative and sincere in her presentation of the benefits Freshpet has to offer. Thank you Costco for always offering what I didn’t even realize I need!

The only location I’ve ever been to that doesn’t allow nonmembers to purchase food from the food court. It clearly states online that you do not need to be a member to purchase food from the food court or alcohol. NC Costco don’t sell alcohol but CA does. Ive had Costco for years back in CA and my membership just expired and I will not be renewing it because their management at this location is just so poor. “The new general manager” is gonna cost them a lot of memberships.

Stopped by this Costco while visiting my Dad, to stock up on essentials. Good stock, quick check out. Prices are a little cheaper than back home in Minnesota.

Best place to shop for electronics, tires, or food period. It’s almost an adventure to go here on the weekends and try their samples and see what deals they have. Can’t skip out on their food court before leaving either. Nothing beats a $1.50 hotdog and drink. Lines may be long but they are very quick.

Terrible place to buy tires from! While they may be a good deal, getting them serviced is horrible ordeal! You will have to make an appointment months in advance and still probably wait 1-2 hours. If you try to do it as a walk-in, you’ll have to wait 3-4 hours. They are eager to sell you the tires but to get them serviced they no longer care because they aren’t making any money off of that! Buy tires elsewhere!

As always we enjoyed our Costco shopping experience. The selection of quality food choices meets our strict diet requirements. The produce is always fresh and healthy. My partner found some well priced women’s clothing and a couple of books to share with her book club. And of course the gas price is lower than most other stations.

My favorite store for meats, produce, household goods, medications and so much more (including gasoline, propane, tires, TVs and outdoor furniture and other items). The sales are fantastic – perks great – rebates really good on my Costco credit card! Also, always pleasant and friendly service!!

  1. The place where all your big bulk discounts help you enjoy a huge savings. They usually have items that you can’t find in your local store. The Kirkland brand is top quality, like your household name brands. They offer different types of memberships.

  2. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. This situation occurred in the last days of the mothers. I always heard about the good prices and better quality products that this supermarket offers but until then I had never been inside to see with my own eyes if it was true or not. Then came the big day, right at the entrance I was approached by a lady Ivy who forbade my entry for not being a member. I tried to explain that it was my first time and I was just visiting the place to see the feel before becoming a member. She then, still in a non-polite way, took me to a counter where I presented my document and my entrance was released. I walked around the market and decided to leave. I felt bad, not even at WalMart have I ever been treated like that.

  3. I came to get my glasses adjusted. I’ve been happy with the service here and drive a ways to get here.
I arrived at 710pm and was told they close optical at 7pm.

The only sign I can find says 8pm, but maybe that’s just the optometrist?

Online only gives the store hours.
Google’s site says the store reviews the hours and it says 8pm for optical.

Not acceptable. So ready to have the correct hours publicly available.

  4. A friend gave me a gift card so I came on a Sunday morning to check it out. I found a few items I wanted to buy so I thought it would be faster to do self checkout. I got all the way to the self checkout line breakout only to be told I have to go to a regular line because I don’t have a membership.

WTH is up with the line situation at this Costco?! That in itself makes me want to go to a different location. There are 3 main (super long) lines you queue up in only then to have to scramble to get into another line for a cashier.

Other than the stupid line process, the store is clean and well stocked. Prices are clearly labeled. Grocery items, health and beauty, and cleaning and pet supplies, are on the left and housewares are on the right. In the middle is snacks, furniture, clothing. In the back is paper goods, frozen food, meat, the bakery, produce, and wine.

Go early or late to avoid the crowds and long lines.

  5. If you’ve been to one Costco, you’ve been to all of them. This store is clean, fairly easy to navigate barring any crowdedness, and easy to assess prices. The store does get pretty busy during peak times so I highly advise you go during off-peak times. You’ll especially feel this at the checkout lines which can get very backed up and frustrating. The gas discount is also a huge perk but again, the lines get to be really long when it’s busy. It can take 10-15 minutes in line before you get to fill up. Overall good experience, just try to go when it’s slow!
