4 months agoItems consistently scan at a higher price than listed on the shelf. The first time, I thought it was just a mistake in their inventory. I check the price on the shelf, and then noticed that the self checkout rang it up 50 cents higher. I had to wait in a separate line for a person, and they honored the price on the shelf. Not a big deal, but I certainly don’t want to be forced to check every single item every single time.
On the next trip, I pick up some Triscuits. And they rang up 40 cents higher than listed on the shelf. This time, I just left without purchasing. What are the odds that I pick two consecutive items that have a shelf price mismatch?
I get that in the digital age, the shelf stickers are a pain to keep up to date. Target adjusts their in-store prices quite frequently. In their system, they were able to see the cheaper price, but only after I requested a “price match guarantee” (that term infuriates me when it is a price listed on the shelf in the same store where I am currently shopping).
All the employees I spoke to were professional and considerate. But if you are a price shopper, I suggest some place other than Target on University.
a month agoTerrible customer service. Needed help in the tech dept. Was told by staff that someone would come to the tech dept and help me. No one came. Went up front and was told again that someone would come over. No staff came to help me with my television purchase. So I left and won’t be coming back. Maybe for a juice bar, but not to buy a 40″ flat screen television.2 months agoNo carts at a non-busy time puts a damper on picking up more than a hand basket full. No wheels on the hand baskets. Store was clean and pretty well stocked.a year agoI usually go to the Target in downtown Berkeley and it was always pleasant there, but today I had to come to this one for something I couldn’t find in the other Target, and the experience was horrible. The customer service was extremely rude, and this is what I experienced and witnessed: Usually I would use self check out option, but some of the things I bought today do not have a barcode, so I had to pay at the cashier. I told her about the missing barcode, but then she just walked away without saying anything to me. After some clueless waiting, I found out she left to check the price. Meanwhile, it’s getting busier when she came back, she literally yielded at the customers to use the self check out system, but none of those machines were available at the time. The way she treats the customers is so rude…3 months agoI checked the website for a product I needed and the website said they had 6 units of the product at Target in Berkeley, I drove from San Francisco to Berkeley, the traffic was horrible. When I arrived at the store the employee told me that they did not have any units. Such a disrespect with the customer. Since I drove from far away to pick up the product I needed. Extremely poorly organized store. I really would like to have some answer from the manager!

4 months agoMy experience over 2 years: Items are frequently incorrectly placed relative to their shelf price/listing. The shelf price often doesn’t match what you’re charged at checkout (The price is often higher at checkout than what it’s listed.). It’s often out of stock of basic items, somewhat to be expected. The self-checkout machines too often have problems reading red card.a year agoThe cashier here is such a sweetheart. I bought a package of paper rolls today and the package does not have anything I can grab, so he took a piece of tape and added a handle for me. Thank you Mr Cashier, if you ever come across this random review!a year agoI love this store! All of the Associates are so nice and helpful. I think that is a big reason why they have so many customers coming into the store! They also offer the best prices on the merchandise they carry. I do love the fact that they have a larger food department with fresh meats which are not offered by the other stores in the immediate area.5 months agoThis is the worst target I’ve been to in my life! When associates can’t take accountability for their actions. That’s a problem!! Customer service is trash as well!4 months agoI got some of the best deals from this store. This place is amazing

My favorite place to shop. This branch is going an extra mile taking care of visual standards and the customer. I have been shopping there for almost 7 years and never been disappointed. I had some mixed experiences in some other branches but this was has always been good. It is not easy! Well done team Albany…
The female who assign at self Checkout don’t want to help us! We have questions and she keep walking away! She even told us wrong information! She don’t even bother calling the manager to help us! Bad customer service! This Happened June 27, 2023 @8:pm
Love this Target location, it’s safe, clean and well stocked. The fitting rooms were also very clean, the staff is keeping this store well organized.
I was there this morning shortly after they opened the store, 8/15/23 and this colored girl from loss prevention kept following me. Additionally , two staff members went to “check on me” as if I was stealing. I was there to get some coffee as well as a breakfast sandwich. While I was there I decided to see items that could potentially help my left strained calf. Their behavior is highly unacceptable as I have been a target costumer for many years and while being profiled and harassed they made me feel quite uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Jesus in Customer Service is amazing!!! He is just so focused on customers and kind. He is in the right place and I hope he rises to top management because he is very professional and calm. Thank you, Jesus for giving me such a great experience today!! 🤗🤗🤗Diana on the other hand is rude and needs more training and should be in a stock room. 🤬
