This review is strictly for the customer service desk. An absolute pig stye of a counter top. Junk everywhere, things not put back or cleaned up as they should be, baskets over flowing. No one was even at the counter. They were in the back, on their cellphones, chatting and laughing. A couple of the girls even saw us standing “in line” waiting to be assisted with our returns and just ignored us and kept swiping on her phone. It’s unprofessional and Target as a whole has much higher standards than what this target achieves.

I absolutely love the drive up feature that Target offers! It allows you to shop from the convenience of your own home and pick up your purchase in two hours and sometimes even sooner! They have a well organized system designed to make the process hassle free and easy. It’s a secure and safe way to shop that allows you to literally grab and go by using their App to inform of your arrival. Upon arrival you park in a designated spot reserved for store pick up and someone brings your items to you which are stored outside once you have indicated on the App that you’re a few minutes away. This is also a big advantage with the recent construction at the Trumbull site that has significantly reduced the availability of parking spots in the general lot. This option is quick and easy and bypasses the hassle of trying to find limited parking.

I live close by and have been going here for years, the staff is always helpful and available. It’s also a pretty clean store too. I had a good experience with Yuli today, she was super friendly.

Despite the time of day you come, there is rarely anyone working the register. Today, there was no one to assist at self checkout which created a lengthy wait for customers. There was no one present at guest services. 10 minutes later, 2 gentlemen come back from break but had to clock in before assisting with the backup. This store management needs to do a better job of ensuring floor and register coverage at all times. It should also be a major loss prevention concern.

Won’t be back. Too many items out of stock on a regular basis. No one answers the phone in any department so waste of time calling. Today, accident hazard waiting to happen. Back to school busy time of year and only one cashier and some self checkout. Entire aisle packed with so many people waiting in a crowd rather than line, blocking the aisle. Good luck getting thru that many people in an emergency situation. If it’s that hard getting employees to work or target doesn’t want to pay employees, put in all self checkout.

There was a sweet man working fitting rooms, he was kind BUT what I did NOT like was the rude as* white skinny lady with glasses being rude to him and rudely adding more clothes to the pile he was already working on! She seemed like a supervisor or manager. Very unprofessional of her, aren’t you there to help your team lady?! Shame on you! And target do better when treating your employees and maybe choose the “managers” wiser.

I’ve always love shopping in Target. One thing that attracts me to Target is the cleanliness of the the store; it’s more like every part of the store is polished. The prices are also moderate and the workers are very courteous. This particular Target is located at the Connecticut Post Mall.

  1. I usually love this Target. Even during the pandemic, they were well stocked and the employees were friendly. Lately, not so much.

I went into the Target today to pick up a few items from the store and return one to the Starbucks in the final minutes of my lunch break. The Target employee who was at the register asked me to wait a second because he was going to finish filling the order of the person before me and the other woman on duty was also working on a part of their order. As I stood there, they started talking about their weekend; and about how tired they were, and their plans for the rest of the week. I waited. The woman finished serving the customers ahead of me and I continued to wait. She picked up a cup and asked what it was for and then leaned on the counter to talk to the man that had previously been at the register.

He finished serving the people in front of me and then the both of them turned to one another and continued their conversation. At that point, I waved and said “Hi I’m still here waiting.” The woman rolled her eyes and said I’m just going to go in the back. He turns to me and says, “We were just talking for a minute.” I explained that that is not appropriate when a customer is standing there. His response, “I didn’t realize you were in a rush.” A completely inappropriate response coupled with a lack of apology ensures I won’t ever go to that Target Starbucks again.

  2. Don’t go to the Starbucks inside this Target! They have a big sign declaring you can now redeem your stars for food, beverages, etc. but you still cannot order ahead in the app. According to the staff of this Starbucks, a 200 star redemption for a free beverage ONLY pays for the drink as it appears on the menu and any customizations whatsoever need to be paid for separately (so you can’t change the type of milk, add espresso shots, add flavor syrups, etc). I have exclusively ordered through the app for the last 10+ years and drink customizations are ALWAYS included and covered by the star redemption. Maybe this Starbucks has different rules because it’s in a Target, and if it was explained that way I’d accept it, however the barista was SO RUDE and would not stop talking/talked over me insisting that the extra charges apply at all Starbucks everywhere, that “there has to be a limit” to what’s included in a free drink redemption, etc. He is 100% incorrect. Even airport Starbucks’ don’t charge extra for changes to drinks when redeeming rewards (I literally placed an identical order in an airport Starbucks last week and was only charged 200 stars). They need to get their information straight and make sure what they’re telling customers is accurate, or they’re going to have a lot of angry people at the register.

  3. After 30 minutes and 3 different people calling for someone to come to electronics, I walked out. Someone was able to help me find out they had the apple watch i was looking for but no one was able to go get it from the back. I had countless employees walk by as i stoop waiting and waiting. I always wondered why everyone talks the way they do about the target on hawley ln but now i know why it is an absolutely misery to get anything from there

  4. Great idea offering 20% off for college students but make sure you get the coupon ahead of time. Chad in customer service was calm, friendly and helpful when 5 people in the service line were waiting for us to return about 500 items to then rebuy them and get the discount.
