3 weeks agoMy favorite store in the area. Best prices. Organized items. Clean smells good store. And friendly customer services. AND for years I am comparing the sale on the main items such as coffee and water in the store with the stores around and I really suggest target.4 months agoThis Target is always a challenge, but it’s generally a good store. It’s limited in staff and space. It doesn’t carry many of the items larger Target stores have in stock. I’ve often come in for something specific (like ice cream or kombucha) that this location does carry, but find the shelf is empty. It helps to use you Target app to see if they carry an item you’re looking for and if it’s currently in stock.a year agoGood selection for an in-city Target, they have some grocery and then a little bit of everything you might need. Very handy if you live in Central Square or are a few stops away on the Red Line. Pretty much dead center between Harvard and MIT. There’s not a ton of parking in Central Square though if you are thinking about driving.4 months agoIf you have to go to a target, this might be the worst one in Cambridge/somerville/Boston. Not because the employees are unhelpful, they’re all pleasant people, but because the location is so small that you will not find what you need. Usually when I visit this location; there are no mirrors stocked; the hair care station never has any of the items that I bought on the last visit (one to two months prior); the protein powder section only has two whey options and two vegan options, and there are no protein bars, only ketogenic high fat bars. Interestingly, the grocery here is one of the best groceries in the square. You can find a pound of tomato for under two dollars, a good variety of dairy products and a decent amount of baking items. Probably the best grocery I’ve ever seen in any target.a month agoI literally just called the Cambridge police on the store security staff. I was literallerally chased up the stairs by female security guard for not stealing. I had spoken to the the shuft supervisor Stephanie about my concerns. Went up and was about to leave asked to speak to the head of security and was treated like garbage by him. And than told to leave their was no store director and to leave. I informed them i was calling the police…Suggestion do not bring your own shopping bags you pickup security and are signaled out followed around the store…i am a regular customer. Not anymore.

2 months agoI purchased the Deviled Egg Potato Salad the day before yesterday morning in good faith assuming that a large, American corporation knows how to monitor its’ inventory. When I lifted off the lid I noticed the sickly, grayish color of the product. I immediately looked at the expiration date which indicated June 10. The product, although chilled at that time, was 10 days beyond expiration. I returned the unopened container to Jaimie, the store manager, who apologized and issued a refund along with a $5 store credit. What I wonder is how sorry she would have felt had I ate the grey potato salad and subsequently rushed to the ER deathly ill.3 weeks agoThey have locked up most of the items. You must request assistance for most common goods. The store is now un-shoppable without a staff member basically holding your hand. It must be miserable for the staff too. They must’ve had a theft problem. I would prefer someone to just check bags and receipts upon exiting. I will be sure to never use this Target again. The 15 minute drive to Watertown is a better choice than my three minute walk to Porter.
a month agoThis location just locked nearly ALL of their items behind locked doors, and there are NO EMPLOYEES there to help people out. All cleaning products, personal hygiene, otc medicine and first aid, nearly everything but food. This is in a very safe and low crime area, so was completely unnecessary. They need to realize that they are 20 steps from a CVS, and 100 steps from a grocery store. Dealing with this nuisance isn’t worth the $2-3 I’ll save over going to CVS. I won’t be back until they remove these doors.7 months agoI gave up on grocery shopping here because I consistently was throwing away moldy/spoiled food, often months before the expiration date. I’ve seen moldy food sitting on the shelves before and at least half their frozen section has clearly thawed and refrozen. It’s ultimately cheaper to go to the Star market because I don’t have to throw away 20% of every grocery trip.a month agoThis location recently decided to lock MANY of their products behind glass doors, seemingly without hiring additional staff to come open those doors when you want an item. Stuck waiting around 10+ minutes whenever you want an item. Used to spend ~$200 per week here but with these new locks shopping takes to long. I will take my business elsewhere.

Really nice Target. Clean. Has A Starbucks. A nice Starbucks, and the girl at the counter was extremely friendly. I don’t live in the area, but if I did, I wound come here often. Very nice place. I wish the Targets near me were this nice.
Had an employee cut me off at the exit I had to ask him to remove himself from the door. Just because I’m a person of color it doesn’t mean I’m stealing. I circled back report the employee and they told me in a very condescending tone that they’ll reprimand him. Can’t believe it’s 2023 and I can’t just walk into a store complete my purchase and get on with my very busy life. Teach your employees how to communicate to people respectfully. I provided a photo of my receipt not that I should have to.
I shop here regularly and I’ve mostly had good to great experiences. This target is well shopped and sometimes I can’t find what I need or want like popular food and drinks. But overall it is a good Target store. For over 10 years I’ve experienced great customer service and on my most recent trip the employees looked happy and were friendly.
I was buying sand for the cat, after the cashier checked the sand I wanted to lift it up and put it in the basket, he threatened me with calling the police if I touch him, twice, obviously he had a certain handicap and after paying I left, maybe the manager should be considerate towards customer and the employee and avoid a future confrontation in the store. I will not do my buying from that store, not if I’m threatened by their employees.
Terrible in store experience – – empty shelves, store employees, don’t seem to care, long waits… Etc. Target customers deserve better. Amazon is a much better experience!
