a week agoGiven the amount of effort this Costco location exudes of a reliable, smooth experience, it is a complete joke to how business is conducted in this establishment.Incompetent personnel venting their thoughts out loud about their work frustrations to their surroundings, not enough cashiers to smoothen out the exhausting lines, let alone the parking fiasco of all types of personalities combating for a single spot no matter where.
Not to mention all of their work tools and supplies left hanging around, creating a hazardous situation!
Why bother enter an establishment and be yelled for not having ID’s out as new protocol, when the five-finger discount people get a high five in the open?
Take your business and visit the Concord or any other Costco where respect and civilized behavior still exists!
2 months agoA standard Costco experience with no frills. The most convenient aspects of this location is for those of dog owners as it’s right next to Point Isabel dog park – which allows you to knock off multiple items on your list such as dog walking and picking up your pets medicine at the Costco Pharmacy. The only gripe I have about this location is that they have a separate door for merchandise returns that for some odd reason is always locked when I visit, forcing you to maneuver through the many shoppers exiting the store.
6 months agoConvenient Costco location close to the freeway. Well stocked, clean, organized. Only tricky part is getting in to and out of the parking lot. The street that feeds into the parking lot is narrow so traffic bunches up. However there is a nice view of the water while waiting to get out of the parking lot…also a good time to enjoy the Costco hot dog and lemonade you grabbed from the food court on the way out.in the last weekToday I went to this Costco that I have been going to for the few years I’ve been in college. I purchased 72 dollars worth of merchandise and accidentally forgot to scan a hat. The lady at the exit didn’t even notice it and marked our receipt. As we were exiting, we were stopped by 5 men accusing us of stealing and trying to hide it. They took my gf and I into the office and threatened to call police FOR A FOURTEEN DOLLAR HAT THAT WE FORGOT TO PAY FOR. There were about 8-9 staff members in the office, 4 of them were speaking to us in an extremely unprofessional and demeaning way, laughing at our faces and making fun of our honest mistake. We tried to explain that this was a mistake and we were willing to pay, however, they kept interrupting us and accusing us of lying. We were so intimated and overwhelmed by the staff that I felt forced to sign a trespassing warning and now I am forever banned from any Costco premises. They took my membership card and when we asked whether we could get a refund for the remainder of the executive membership, they made a remark saying “no, we’re going to steal that from you” and laughed. This is extremely disrespectful, inappropriate and unprofessional behavior from staff and even though we are the young college students, we acted more mature in this situation than the staff members. Extremely disappointed and insulted with this interaction and the way this situation was handled. If you are a young student, be cautious of the potential of being targeted when doing self-checkout, they target us and are very rude and disrespectful.in the last weekToday I had my worst Costco experience. I’ve been coming to this Costco for a few years now but I’ve never felt so small and targeted. My boyfriend and I bought $72 worth of merchandise and went through a self-checkout. He was excited to buy himself a new raiders hat because he’s a big fan and we also got some food. On the way out, the lady at the exit checked our receipt and marked it with a marker and we were free to go. That is until we were stopped the moment we put our foot outside. The people from loss prevention stopped us and asked to see our receipt. We complied because we were confused but it turned out we forgot to pay for the raiders hat. We were careless and forgot to scan a small item (~$14) and wanted to go back and pay for it. But instead the loss prevention people treated us like criminals. They admitted to watching us the entire time yet no one told us that we forgot to scan the item. Even the lady at the exit didn’t notice. They took us to the office and made him sign trespassing warning banning him from Costco and taking away his Costco membership. Mind you, he has paid for the entire year already and he doesn’t get any refund. We asked them about it specifically, and one of them made a remark saying “they’ll steal it from us”. Extremely unprofessional behavior. Kept interrupting us while we were trying to explain that it was an honest mistake. Both of us are full time students and part time workers. We work hard to buy the things we want and this was an honest mistake. We also wanted to get gas on the way out but his membership was confiscated so we couldn’t. Extremely disappointed by this unprofessional behavior.

4 months agoTire department stinks at calling when they say they will. This is the second time I have bought a set of tires from them and they have yet to call when they said they would. Very frustrating. Other than that, the store is great for shopping for the grands and for stuff you just can’t live without, lol.a month agoI love Costco’s prices and selection but their customer service needs improvement at this location. Today, while at self checkout (??????) , Denise (Ringgold Costco Employee) informed my wife she had too many items to come through self checkout after she was halfway through checking out. She didn’t say it nicely either. I was over at vision buying contacts or I would’ve blown a gasket. Did I mention my wife was at a self check out? At a store that we pay a fee for the blessed privilege of shopping at? I plan to continue shopping at Costco because, again, I love their prices and selection but I hope Costco helps their associates understand that they need to have a higher standard of service since their customers pay extra to shop there. Do better Denise, do better. PS…I didn’t forget to say my wife was at self checkout did I?3 weeks agoMy all time favorite place. We like to start with pizza and ice cream, the food is inexpensive, hot, massive, and delicious. We then make our way into the store. While wondering inside samples are usually available so you can try more fabulous things and find new favorite food items. Just be prepared to go down the rabbit hole and spend considerable $$. It’s 1000% worth it. There are also clothes, books, furniture, holiday decorations, plants, cleaning supplies, and more. It’s worth it to work your way through the whole store.6 months agoI was in complete shock to find JUCE in this store! For those who don’t know this product? I highly recommend it for gut health and weight loss. When you body has the nutrients it needs it runs better. It tastes so good!!!2 months agoCHECK YOUR MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS. I alternate paying with another household member for our executive membership. I renewed for the year back in March. When my father went in to shop in early June he was advised the membership needed to be renewed and paid $120 again. Luckily, he mentioned this to me and I was able to tell him that the membership was renewed in March and should have been valid for a full year (until March 2024). Had we not had that conversation we would have been none the wiser and Costco would have gotten away with an additional $120 they were not entitled to.In order to have his payment refunded, I had to go into the store and explain to three different associates what the problem was. They would continually call over another person without giving them any context and background–very frustrating. Finally one gentleman was able to look through their records and confirm what I was telling them and the $120.00 was refunded. Still, no one could seem to explain to me why this happened. Overall very sketchy and seems like an easy source of revenue for Costco. I advised the associate that helped that they should probably audit their membership records to ensure they were not stealing $120 from paying customers, but he didn’t seem too concerned and said “this rarely happens”.
So, make sure you check your records because apparently Costco is unable/unwilling to do so. Completely unacceptable and unethical.

TERRIFIED — MANAGER INSULTING/HUMILIATING MEMBERS
Today’s 02/17. The price of the 7-set dining table that I purchased on 1/02 goes down by $400. I noticed that it’s been over 10+ days to be qualify for the 30-day price adjustment. Abiding by the Costco policy, the only way left for me is to buy another set now and then return the old one, to get the discount. But this for sure takes a lot labor both for me and for the staffs working there–these are extremely heavy boxes.
So I went to the counter and told them the situation. A manager called Justin came and told me he could do nothing, which I totally understand. But he repeated at least twice, calling me DISHONEST. This is non-tolerable at all. I told everything in my situation with the sincere hope not to bother/avoid our staff’s labor. But ended up being called dishonest?! Later on, when a staff was about to help me loading those heavy box, I again told him the entire situation and apologized for the inconvenient caused by this. Justin again jumped in and said, “we are doing this because of YOUR $400”.
I was terrified. How come a manager insulted me by all these means. First of all, $400+ is not a small amount! Secondly, I was obeying the rules from YOUR warehouse and even saying sorry to the ones who actually help! If there’s ANYTHING to be blamed on, it should be the system/rules instead of your valued member. I was FURIOUS! As an honest long-term member, a proper apology is indeed needed.
It even concerns me more if such a bad experience/conflict has ever happened to other members before or to be happened in the future. Let alone the horrible attitude from the staff which I never thought should have appeared in Costco. After all, if your staff regard it as something deserved to be called “dishonest”, solve it by the policy level, instead of attacking the members of going through the regular process. We don’t deserve this by acting exactly under the policy!
Visited for the first time in over a decade. Parking lot was packed, but some spaces could be found a distance away from the building. Great selection of necessities and fresh baked goods. Carts are huge and it takes a bit of careful navigating not to bump others… Self checkout is quick and easy.
Great costco warehouse with an excellent selection of items at reasonable prices. The good thing about the Sunnyvale Costco is that they have a lot of Indian favorites- Eg Haldirams indian sweets before Diwali, Maggi, Ghee, Various types of dals, kulfi etc
They have a limited selection of feminine hygiene products- they only seem to have one type of item at a time (eg pads or tampons) and usually only one brand at a time.
Crowds are quite long during the weekend, which becomes a huge damper to the shopping experience.
They have a gas station optical center and an auto repair center as well.
One of the smaller compact Costco’s in the area, so less walking involved. Lot of south Asian items sold in this costco. Getting small and medium sized clothes is tough. The gas station gets a little crowded, but not too bad after the renovations. Love the 2 self-service tire pressure air stations.
Wonderful place to shop. Super friendly employees. Lines move fast. Better pricing when shopping in the store instead of buying on line. Some items are in store only like 4 LED light bulbs for $10 and the dog food is about $20 less for the chicken adult kibble than delivered. Diamonds are way less than local jewelry stores and the tennis bracelets are exquisite. Lactaid is about 25% less in store. Plenty of parking and New car parking available . Highly recommended.
