Hand Car Washes: What You Need to Know

There are different types of hand car washes available, each with its own set of benefits and drawbacks. Here are some of the most common types:

  • Full-service hand car wash: This is the most comprehensive type of hand car wash. It includes washing, waxing, and vacuuming your car, as well as any other detailing services you may want. Full-service hand car washes are typically the most expensive type of hand car wash, but they also offer the highest level of detail.
  • Express hand car wash: This is a less comprehensive type of hand car wash than a full-service wash. It typically includes washing and waxing your car, but it may not include vacuuming or other detailing services. Express hand car washes are typically less expensive than full-service washes, but they also offer a lower level of detail.
  • Touchless car wash: This type of car wash uses high-pressure water jets to clean your car without any contact from the wash brushes. Touchless car washes are typically the most affordable type of hand car wash, but they may not be as effective at removing dirt and grime as other types of hand car washes.
  • Self-service car wash: This type of car wash allows you to wash your car yourself using the equipment provided by the car wash. Self-service car washes are typically the most affordable type of car wash, but they can be time-consuming and messy.

The best type of hand car wash for you will depend on your individual needs and preferences. If you want the highest level of detail, then a full-service hand car wash is the best option. If you are on a budget, then a touchless car wash or self-service car wash may be a better option.

Here are some additional factors to consider when choosing a hand car wash:

  • The size of your car: Larger cars will typically take longer to wash than smaller cars.
  • The level of detail you want: A more comprehensive wash will typically take longer than a basic wash.
  • The time of day you get your car washed: Car washes are typically busiest during peak hours, such as weekends and evenings.

Ultimately, the best way to find the right type of hand car wash for you is to try out a few different options and see what you like best.

Impressed with the quality of customer service here. This is my go to car wash- it’s reasonably priced, efficient (even when there’s a long line of cars waiting to get in it moves decently fast), and the free vacuums are a great bonus. For some reason today, the car wash missed the entire back of my van, and left it dusty and covered in dirt. The staff were friendly and helpful and made sure I got a free rewash to get the back taken care of. Usually a great wash, and on the off chance it’s not, they’ll take care of it 👍🏼

Colorado weather takes a toll on your vehicles visual appearance, always something splashed on your ride from the changing elements. This service is fast and efficient, returning a very decent cleaning for a reasonable charge. You go from ‘OH NO’ to ‘OK’ in just moments.

I’ve had my unlimited wash pass over a year, and now it’s just become a waste of money. It can be 2pm on a Tuesday or 12 pm on a Saturday, you’ll still have to wait 30+ minutes to get a “Breeze thru wash”. Great problem to have as a business owner but I would suggest shopping around. Cobblestone has more locations across the front range and they offer a better clean (no dirt on your front and back license plate) with free towels to wipe off the excess moisture.

Edit: I emailed them like their response requested and heard nothing back. So it’s just to appease google, not to actually help.

I paid for the $10 wash and my vehicle looks slightly cleaner (not like it was just cleaned) BUT with obviously more scratches than it had before.

I should have followed my gut when I read their caution sign that the machines can pretty much damage your car and it’s not their fault. Then I read the reviews and apparently their machines scratch A LOT of cars.

I usually manually wash my car at a different place in town and didn’t feel like it today, spent a few dollars more than I do cleaning myself hoping it would be worth it…but I will not be returning here for a car wash ever again. I can’t believe I paid $10 to have my car damaged.

    So mad.

Have been going to this wash for many years and always got the diamond wash. Decided this time to try a more expensive wash and paid for the Casey’s best for $65. Needless to say, the quality of this way more expensive wash is less than the quality of the diamond wash I remember a couple of years back that was almost 1/2 that price. Recommended to a friend and they were just as disappointed as they were still wiping things clean with their finger that were supposed to be included in the “Casey’s Best” Would not recommend and will not get my business in the future.

I’m not the type to write reviews but needs to be posted, I am beyond disappointed with this service I paid 65$ dollars for their “premium” detail and wash. This is the sorriest excuse for a wash I have ever seen. The inside looked like they had only air in their cleaner spray bottles, I am not exaggerating there was still dust that looked like they missed when wiping. as well the outside they fully missed some door panels when drying with towels. I will not come back

i’m from out of town daughter recommended. i had questions about what specifically wanted done. parked my car walked in to office. greeted. said i would like a car wash was told rudely i had to go put my car in line. as i had never been here before and not knowing the drill i left. unfortunately I couldn’t find a near full service car wash elsewhere. they were not at all busy and i feel this desk person should have handled better. very rude.

Paid for a diamond plus wash. Supposed to be the top one. I have dust all over my steering wheel. My dash board screen and doors are still dirty.

7-2021: We brought our sun faded 30′ Camper in for polish and wax. It looks so much better, highly recommend! Staff seemed happy and wanting take care of their customers.

6-2022: Not sure what happened but quality has dropped. We went to pickup our truck and had to point out a ton missed areas that is visible not hidden, and let them have the truck for an entire extra day. This truck is driven on weekends once and a great while so it was relatively clean to start with. For $350 detail job this is embarrassing.

  1. I have 2 monthly vehicles with Breeze Thru. It does an okay job keeping cars clean but if you need to get clean, that’s a different story and rather disappointing. Misses a lot on front bumper area. On SUVs it misses under the rear spoiler back a lot and on trucks the back tailgate and bumper area. Also under wheels/wheel wells. If I couldn’t drive thru multiple times same day I probably would not keep coming here. Usually I do 2-3 passes for an acceptable job. Highly recommend the monthly passes > individual washes because latter are not worth the price. The staff at all locations are always awesome and work really hard.

  2. I went to this location because I saw an online ad saying $5 for a car wash. When I arrived I asked for the $5 wash but the guy said they no longer offer it. I was in a bit of a hurry and my car was filthy, so I ended up paying $10. I went through the wash then to a store. Upon inspection of my SUV’s tail gate, the area surrounding the license plate was virtually untouched and actually looked worse than before the wash. I understand the carwash is automated and won’t be perfect, but I paid twice as much as I was expecting for a cruddy wash. Incredibly disappointing and now I have to go get another car wash. Perhaps you should stop running the $5 Car Wash ads? That would be helpful for others.

  3. Cheap but you get what you pay for. My fenders and the back of my car are dirty even after going through a second time. Employees are always friendly but there’s no space between cars to allow equipment to get the back. Even if no one is behind me I end up having to hand wash. They need to have employees with a pressure washer like Richie’s used to.

  4. Fast, great wash selections for various types of vehicles. Their rates kept me coming back, the price of monthly payments are worth having a membership, however if you just want to spring clean your ride, simply pull up at the free vacuums and you will be drawn to get a basic wash at some point. 😉

  5. I have a monthly subscription for Breeze Thru. Living in Colorado, especially winters, it seems almost necessary. It is nice having unlimited washes. My truck is always clean!

The wash cycle is quick so you can get through fast, even if there is a line of vehicles.

Don’t forget the free vacuums! They do a really nice job and have a strong amount of suction. It gets all the stuff your home vacuum can’t.
