Complete waste of $15. The “ceramic spray” only came out of two holes and the wash is terrible. One of the worst touchless car washes around. My car is still dirty. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I usually go to a nearby hand car wash spot, but just wanted to get a quick wash. I did not want to drive onto tracks at gas station car washes and also wanted something touchless. I have always passed by this spot for the past years, and I finally decided to try the automatic car wash bay. Waited about 5min on a sunny but cold Saturday afternoon, I opted for the $15 Extreme option. The pressure of both the water and the air dryer are very strong so be warned about loose wipers, not that mine came off, but saw them flapping a bit. Overall, the automatic wash bay got the dirt and road salt off, but definitely need to wipe down for a spotless clean.

UPDATE 5/2023 They still have the $5 deal but it’s now 8 minutes.

UPDATE 10/22: It still does a pretty good job. The $5 bill deal still exists.

ORIGINAL: The self serve wash did a pretty good job. I’ll be utilizing this throughout the coming winter. The pressure washer was nice and powerful. It was also nice to have the option off a power blower to dry the car. The $5 dollar bill was more than enough time to get the job done. I’ll be returning.

Self Service car wash place which is becoming rare in Chicagoland. Accepts Credit Cards. My bay was pretty nasty with wet garbage and shells all over the floor. Not really the business fault and probably from low character user but it impacted my experience. Only used a couple of settings that all worked well. They also have a blow dryer which is rare in self service bays.

Lots and lots of foam and lots of strong water pressure. Great car wash. Will be coming here for the brushless automatic car wash. Just be prepared for fine foam particles flying in through your window and on your face when trying to pay at the automatic bays.

While entering the shop one of the staff members gave me a negative attitude.I knew right there and then it was not going to be a good experience. The price is too high, and my car was not cleaned completely inside; which I had payed for the package they offer. When paying I only left $2:00 tip. I knew from the beginning they were going to do a sloppy job. Happy I didn’t have them more than $2:00. I do not recommend it. Not worth it. Other places do a better job and for less money. I will make sure not to recommend this place to anyone. I had to go home and finish cleaning the inside of my car. Business’s like this should be out of business. They just take your money! Customer service is very important in any type of business.😤😡

This is the worst place you can go for any car wash services. My sister gave the car for complete detailing. The guy told us that it will be ready by 4 pm. My sister and her son stayed at my brother’s house. Waiting for the call so we can go and pick up the car and she can go her home. 5pm I called for the status. The employee told me that it is not ready yet and he is going to call me soon. Called never came. At 7pm I started calling and no answer. Drove to the place and it was closed with many cars inside locked. Never been informed that they are closing. My sister is waiting and no information. Luckily one person was inside the place he opened and I was able to take out the car. The work never started. They didn’t even start the process. Next morning my sister went back and took the refund. This is really frustrating. You can get stuck in the bad situation because they will not even inform you, close down the place and leave. And your car is stuck with them. You can’t trust them. Now I see many negative comments here. They should be fined by the city for this kind of business practices.

If there was no star that’s what I would have rated and I should have read the previous reviews, I just left this place and it all started bad. When I was paying for my car the guy was very rude and wouldn’t explain their packages and even told me that he doesn’t have time to explain minding that there was only 1 customer behind me . So I just picked one and really not knowing what I am getting I payed $26 plus tip . Than my suv was finished but they never opened the back door to clean the windows and vacuum so they guy cleaning it said that no one told him and I was supposed to let them know I I wanted my windows cleaned and dry off the water from the door? Ok so I get home and here is what my car looked like, this is supposed to be a hand car wash.

I went here because of the Groupon for a car starter. It was not installed properly and had to pay for a complete re-do elsewhere. When I called this business for help with this, the person who answered said, “we don’t do that anymore. I can’t help you” They even said this business is no longer called Lucky’s carwash and that it is a different name. Super shady and I wish I would’ve never trusted them for the autostart. We will never go back to this place if that is how they take care of their customers.

Asked for the best wash. Paid $30. Tipped $5 in the box and $5 to each worker. Also told them to take care of the wheels and exterior!!. Car came out dirty and missed so many spots including read bumper read trunk and glass in and out. Called them told me come back. Came back so the owner can tell me my car is over sprayed and thats why its not clean and there are so many stains. Lol the car is almost brand new mercedes E class AMG and 1st owner here. And insists that hes been doing his job for 40 years. I laughed and walked out. Went down the street paid $20 car came out shiny not even one stain!! Be aware and save your money go somewhere else!. Owner is greedy!!! Stay away.

Guidelines for a Secure Car Wash Experience

Car washing is an essential part of vehicle maintenance. Whether you prefer to wash your car at home or at a car wash facility, it is important to prioritize safety to prevent any accidents or damage. Here are some general safety guidelines to follow while washing your car:

  • Choose a safe location: Find a well-lit, level surface to wash your car. Avoid sloped areas or places with loose gravel that can cause slips and falls.
  • Gather the necessary supplies: Prepare all the tools and cleaning products you will need before starting the washing process. This will help you stay organized and minimize the risk of accidents.
  • Protect yourself: Wear appropriate clothing such as gloves and eye protection to shield yourself from potentially harmful chemicals or debris. Additionally, apply sunscreen if you will be outside for an extended period of time.
  • Ensure proper ventilation: If washing your car in an enclosed space, make sure there is adequate ventilation to prevent the inhalation of fumes from cleaning products.
  • Turn off electrical switches: Before beginning the car wash, turn off all electrical switches including the ignition, headlights, and any other electrical components. This helps minimize the risk of accidental damage or electrocution.
  • Use gentle pressure: When washing your car’s exterior, avoid using excessive force or high-pressure water as it may cause damage to the paint or other surfaces.
  • Be cautious around mirrors and antennas: Take extra care when washing around side mirrors, antennas, and wiper blades to prevent damage.
  • Use a non-slip mat: If you are washing your car at home and standing on wet surfaces, place a non-slip mat near your workspace to prevent slips and falls.
  • Dispose of wastewater properly: When washing your car, be mindful of where the wastewater goes. Disposing of it down storm drains can lead to environmental pollution, so consider using environmentally friendly car wash methods or bring your vehicle to a professional car wash facility where they have proper wastewater disposal systems.
  • Follow manufacturer instructions: Always refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual or consult the instructions on cleaning products for specific guidelines or precautions.

By following these safety guidelines, you can ensure a safe and effective car washing experience while maintaining the beauty and longevity of your vehicle.

  1. Horrible car wash. They do not clean the windshield at all.
    Look at the windshields photos.
    Just waste of money!
Pictures were taken immediately after car wash.
Why the manager is not checking the cars exiting immediately from car wash and looking for their windshields?

I purchased the $15 wash with wax, and they did a great job. I love that you don’t have to steer your tire into a wheel well, but rather just drive onto a track, and there’s an attendant standing next to it (not in a booth) just in case you need direction, who is also spraying your car to get started. Car looked great afterward, and the wash seemed perfectly gentle. The free vacuums were powerful, and there were plenty of spots to use them open.

  3. a very poor wash to pay $11 is not worth it, there are better options elsewhere.
Mr. Owner, I am not seeking to sabotage, I am only sharing my experience and giving my opinion on the cost of your service.

The monthly car was subscription makes it so easy to keep the car looking great, rain or shine. My favorite ‘tool’ is the air compressor at each station. Besides the powerful vacuums, (two different head styles) each drying station had a air compressor gun which allows you to blow the excessive water out from behind the side mirrors, license plates, wheels etc. If used properly it will prevent water drips from from showing up and ruining your beautiful clean finish. If a clean car is important to you, I recommend buying a monthly subscription program at Zippy Car Wash.

  5. Best car wash in town. I park under a tree and the birds just do what they do. Zippy’s power washes it for me and on more than one occasion have allowed me to go through twice to make sure my car is clean. The manager has a great personality and is always very friendly.
