The Essential Factors for Choosing Cincinnati OH Best Gym for Weight Loss

When determining the best gyms for weight loss in Cincinnati OH, there are several factors to consider. Here are some key aspects to look for:

  1. Qualified Trainers: A top-notch gym should have certified personal trainers who can provide guidance and create personalized workout plans tailored to your weight loss goals. Trainers can offer expertise, help with proper form, and motivate you throughout your fitness journey.
  2. Variety of Equipment: Look for a gym that offers a wide range of equipment for both cardio exercises and strength training. This should include treadmills, ellipticals, stationary bikes, rowing machines, weightlifting machines, and a selection of free weights. The availability of diverse equipment allows for a well-rounded workout routine.
  3. Group Fitness Classes: Gyms that provide group fitness classes can be highly beneficial for weight loss. Look for classes such as high-intensity interval training (HIIT), aerobics, spinning, kickboxing, or dance-based workouts. Group classes provide structure, motivation, and a social atmosphere.
  4. Cardiovascular Training Options: Effective weight loss often requires a significant amount of cardiovascular exercise. A good gym should offer various options for cardio training, such as treadmills, ellipticals, stair climbers, and indoor cycling bikes. Access to these machines allows you to engage in effective calorie-burning workouts.
  5. Strength Training Facilities: Building lean muscle mass is crucial for weight loss as it boosts metabolism and enhances fat burning. The gym you choose should have a designated area for strength training, including a wide selection of weights, resistance machines, and functional training equipment like kettlebells and medicine balls.
  6. Clean and Well-Maintained Facilities: A clean and well-maintained gym is important for your comfort and safety. Look for a gym that takes pride in cleanliness, regularly maintains its equipment, and provides a pleasant workout environment.
  7. Supportive Community: Joining a gym with a supportive and inclusive community in Cincinnati OH area can significantly enhance your weight loss journey. Positive interactions, friendly staff, and opportunities for group activities or challenges can keep you motivated and accountable.
  8. Nutritional Guidance: While not all gyms offer this, some provide nutritional guidance or have registered dietitians available to offer advice on healthy eating and weight loss strategies. This additional support can be valuable in achieving your weight loss goals.
  9. Convenient Location and Hours: Choose a gym that is conveniently located near your home or workplace, making it easier for you to incorporate regular workouts into your schedule. Additionally, consider the gym’s operating hours to ensure they align with your availability.

Remember, the best gym for weight loss in Cincinnati OH ultimately depends on your personal preferences, goals, and budget. Take the time to visit potential gyms, ask for trial memberships or tours, and assess how well they meet your specific needs before making a commitment.

So I had an appointment this morning at the one in Oakley sat down with the gentleman. He proceeded to tell me all these prices and different rates, monthly and weekly only not to even offer to walk me around the facility and show me around asked me do I think they have the equipment that I need that’s fit for me and I’m trying to explain to him that I’ve never belong to a gym so I wouldn’t know that but just looking my purpose of going was to get my three day free trial membership and all he kept saying is well. I need your ID to activate it, so it seems like to me all he wanted was my money Didn’t even give me a chance to tour the facility to see if I even will like it or even out for me to work out for today very poor representation.

Its OK for what it is, but I’d rather pay a bit more and get more. Its super crowded. No towel service not even for the gym floor. Hot tub has been broken 2 weeks, basketball court is locked up because of fights. The gym is reasonably clean and most things seem to work. Hours are decent and price is decent. Neighborhood is a bit rough. Just feel like like they could step it up a bit. Never see anyone cleaning or picking up trash outside. Hand sanitizer is often empty. Just the little things that could make a big difference. I joined 1 month ago, but will probably check out another gym soon.

Old equipment and stocks are barely filled. The staff is very poor as well. The GM is a bigger gentleman who doesn’t seem to care about the facility or it’s patrons and it trickles down to the rest of the staff. The Esporta in Bellevue is a lot cleaner & the staff seem as if they are there to actually help when you need. Bottom line : EQUIPMENT & STAFFING make this place a 1 star. (And the juice bar is ALWAYS down)You can’t even buy a water bottle it’s basically a planet fitness with a pool.

I joined recently, and everyone is friendly when I’m able to engage in small talk. The man at the front desk is courteous as well. The customer service aspect is great. Although I do have some criticism about this location. I frequent the swimming pool and the jacuzzi is extremely foamy which is an indication to clean it. Like piles of foam. The women’s locker room, particularly the restrooms area, is almost always dirty. I would like to kindly suggest more upkeep on the cleaning in the locker rooms and pool area. I still favor this gym over the big competitors out there, mostly because I have yet to receive any mockery for being overweight and at the gym. Overall, I still recommend this gym if you need a spacious workout area and if you like to go for a swim. The fee is reasonable as well.

This gym has went from okay to worse. Very often the gym is overpacked and there is not an emphasis on keeping the gym, specifically the bathrooms, clean. Today was basically last straw. Bathroom is filthy, smells outrageously bad, and it’s not even 9 AM! The gym needs better maintenance.

This is one of the cleanest gyms I’ve been apart of,…and it’s large, two levels! I give Miss Kristie 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because she’s always pleasant when I speak to her, she almost never stops moving, so if you need anything during night shift she’s close by, she’s constantly vacuuming, filling the spray bottles, helping customers, refilling the towel rolls, mopping, lowering the benches, raising the bars, pulling the trash, restock the beverages, she even mops the men’s bathroom! Just Wow! This gym doesn’t have a indoor track, no pool, no basketball court and it’s only 24 hours Monday-Thursday (except major holidays) and Friday-Saturday-Sunday 7am-9pm but it does have a large variety of assistive machines, treadmills, and exercise bikes, and exceptional hard workers like Miss Kristie!

(Short video below, Of course it’s Miss Kristie walking behind me working, as I lift weights!)👍🏾

Love this place. Have a membership. Front desk is filled with younger people but they are so helpful and kind. Always a cheerful place. They really are welcoming and that makes you want to come back. Thank you all!!

I joined PF in March 2023. I was excited to join. PF offered free training at no extra cost, while the other fitness centers offered personal trainers at a price I couldn’t afford. The trainer,Mr. Scott was fantastic. He listened to my concerns and what my goals were. He modified workouts and informed me of things I could do at home to help me improve and strengthen my core. I looked forward to the training. Now..in May 2023, PF discontinued the personal trainers. There is no longer anyone available to work with me, and make sure I am performing the workouts correctly. Sure, there are tutorials, but tutorials can not show you what you need to correct in order to prevent injury to your body. I know I’m only one person, but without personal trainers, I don’t know how much longer I’ll continue going to PF. I’m so disappointed.

Nice gym to go to but they decided to change their hours to no longer be 24/7. They are opening with same hours as nearby gyms starting 05/15/23 so I’ll switch over to another gym that is also $10 a month. Only reason I stayed was for the 24/7 open times.

Edit: Lowering to 1 star since I need to cancel 7 whole days before the next billing month. Why does PF need 7 days before the monthly billing date to send a bank invoice?

Christine was EXTREMELY helpful. She assured me all my questions were ok to ask gave me tips on what to do recommend things that she likes and easy steps for beginners she even worked out with me and showed me how to use machines. She made it fun to work out and made me feel very comfortable and safe with It being my first time working out. Thank you so much Christine

  1. Be aware you can only cancel membership in-person or via mail, not online. An intentionally inconvenient way for you to keep shelling out money. The location itself though is very clean, organized, and the employees are friendly and helpful as can possibly be.

  2. Stopped in twice while visiting the area and this PF is way better than mine out in Vegas! Super clean, not very crowded (at 6:30am), and has so many equipment options. Definitely one of the better PF gyms I’ve been to.

  3. The gym itself is nice. However, it’s way too crowded during the weekdays (Monday through Thursday) when most people go to the gym after work (4pm to 10pm). A typical hour lift will take you two hours due to waiting for machines. Parking lot is generally completely full during these times as well and parking in the adjacent lot by Panda Express is needed.

  4. The new hours are ridiculous not being 24/7 is so unfair to the people who benefited from the all around hours. I signed up with the intentions of 24/7 access and now things have changed. They even have a new program for younger kids which is very nice for the youth but it’s kind of annoying when you have teenagers running all around playing with equipment and just taking up space playing around.

The crowd meter does not even work to avoid the huge crowd.

  5. Pretty livid right now. Chose planet fitness as they were 24 hours. To them being open till NINE pm on weekends?? Forget after work workouts if you get a membership here. I loved going after work but I guess I’ll find somewhere else. It’s also not just this planet fitness. Colerain as well🙄
