Just spent 35 minutes waiting in 90 degree heat for my online order. I finally got fed up and decided to call to check on my order. It turns out, it had been ready for some time and “was supposed to have gone out already”. Big surprise, 2 minutes after calling, I had my order. Mind you, it was only about 7 bags. Not big by any means. Also, no apologies, nothing. I’m done with this place, it has gotten worse and worse every time I go.

This is the only Walmart we go to. Nearly all the workers in the pickup department know me and my family. Inside and outside are clean so it’s obvious that they care. I love the greeters and the clean carts. They’ve really been serious about Covid and taking the precautions to help avoid cross contamination. No complaints!!

7/6/23 I’m handicapped & use an electric scooter. My basket was full & I was ready to check out. The power went out for whatever reason no one seemed to know. Next thing that happened was customers were told to exit the building. With no way to check out a clerk had to empty my cart. It was a horrible experience and I know not the workers fault. There should be a back up to let customers check out…!!!

Early visits are better. Less people. Friendly staff and store is clean. I come by about once or twice a month.

I’ve walked into this store several times in the past two months only to discover there were no cashiers. We had two choices; leave or go the route of self-checkout. In a perfect world, where items were not incorrectly shelved and sale prices did not ring up a higher charge than expected, self-checkout would be a viable option—but its not. As I warned the manager of a K-Mart eight years ago, “when you limit your customer’s choices and force them to do you what you want to do, instead of what they want to do, you will buy yourself plenty of free time since you want have customers.” Notice any K-Marts around?

Clean store and parking lot. The area looks safe. There were no lines when we went. The store was well-stocked. They could use more trial sized items, though. Great place to run in and grab what you need.

Overall the store was nice, clean, and well stocked, especially for a Wal Mart in a high traffic vacation area. The cashiers that I interacted with were kind and helpful. I would give the store 5 stars if they were able to get their curbside pick up orders out on time, or even at the amended time they gave us. We placed a pick up order for 9am on Saturday morning. Got an email saying that it was delayed by two hours, and then another email about 45 minutes later telling us it was ready. We went to the store and checked in for the pick up. I had to grab a few items that weren’t initially on our pick up order, so I went into the store while my husband waited in the car for our order to be brought out. I was in the store for 25 minutes and when I came out our order still hadn’t been brought out. I went back into the store to see if could take my own order out and the employees said that they were still fulfilling orders from Friday and that even though my order had been shopped it wasn’t on a cart and ready to take out. Ultimately, I canceled my curbside order and shopped it myself. I understand that filling curbside orders in a high traffic, family vacation sort of town is an undertaking. And, if the store is unable to keep up with the demand, they need to make modifications on their end (limit the number of available pick up slots, add more employees, or discontinue curb side pick up) so that customers can get their orders as planned and not spend hours of their vacation time waiting for their order to be fulfilled.

One clerk at counter checking out people and nine carts in front of me. Older folks like me are NOT going to check our own groceries. Three or four people hanging around doing nothing but watch the self checkouts. For heavens sake! I’m just about to quit. Walmart completely! Thoroughly disgusted they don’t have more checkers when they can plainly see the need. Like your products but disdain for people who want help checking groceries is going to make them loose a lot of loyal customers!

Nothing against anyone that works here. The place is clean and the people have always been perfectly friendly and helpful. It would be cool if there were lines where someone could help you check out. Self checkout is great; I love it when I’m feeling antisocial, but this is a supercenter. If you need to do a lot shopping, order online for sure. Any more than a few items and you’ll be stuck scanning and bagging things for a while.

I visited the State St location last Sunday with my 90 year old Mom. She needed to visit customer service and received prompt, friendly and excellent service. Plus, my dumb a** couldn’t find a couple of things and two different employees hooked me up with a smile. Thanks for the excellent service!! 👍👍 P.S. They work hard for their paycheck too guys, so play nice! 😁

  1. We come to this location a few times a week. We are big clearance shoppers and I love browsing clearance when we come. A few weeks ago their toys were marked down but they had an additional sign that said “An extra 50% off clearance prices – price override at MANNED register”. So we bought a ton and obviously tried to going to a “manned” register but the one we went to said she was closing and she told us to go to self checkout. A grumpy old man (when we called him over) said we needed to go to a manned register which we’d explained to him we’d just done and we were directed here. Now I’m very familiar with how this works and I knew he would have to manually discount each item. He told my husband to scan them and it would do it automatically which of course it didn’t. When we called him back he acted irritated and said “Well you’ll have to remove the items then so I can do it.” WE also cant do that. He has to manually cancel each one But just trying to do exactly what he was saying we tried anyway (which didn’t work of course) and I finally stepped in as my husband doesn’t really stick up for himself and I told the man he would have to cancel each one and he was again irritated and asked why we rang them ALL up. Obviously because he told us to and at this point I start getting snippy back and I told him he essentially created this mess by just not wanting to help in the first place. I already knew it wouldn’t discount automatically and he just kept walking away. Its kind of frustrating and I wish Id have kept our receipt to report him.

  2. This is a huge store They have every thing you need , from groceries to automobile accessories, pet supplies , stay out of the bakery section I gained ten pounds , beers and wine I also purchased a seventy inch television with a wall mount the staff was very helpful to bring my shopping to my vehicle, I will keep shopping here…..if this helps…..👍

  3. First time and last time using Walmart order online and pickup services(Overland & Cole). I bought a brand new bike and they gave me a used bike, damaged. Litterally. When I spoke to the person who delivered it to my truck, they said it was the last color of this bike in stock and if I didn’t like the condition to call customer service. My niece wanted this specific color and model. I immediately call customer service and went to another location to exchange it and I’m so glad I did because it not only was missing the tire caps, paint scratches, product information, dirty pedals and tires… when I unloaded it, it had a bent rear rim. I didn’t even have physical ownership of the bike for more than 30 minutes, and here’s what I got vs. what it should look like. I suppose I’m just surprised that a large company such as Walmart is doing this kind of practice.

  4. Pretty good Walmart. Usually shop here. The employees kinda suck and have terrible attitudes. I’m 24 and was trying to buy beer, but this 18 year old kid refused to let me because he claimed my ID was a fake with no proof, gotta love entitled people. So that was pretty annoying, but besides that one time it’s a pretty good store.

  5. Hardly anything I wanted was on the shelf available. There was really no staff around to help me out. However, there was one young man who went out of his way to help me find the items that I needed. She even showed me how to scan them on my Phone app.
