This Target really puts a stain on the entire brand and is honestly in need of new management. The restrooms are FILTHY, soft lines are cluttered with clothes often strewn about and out of stock, and the lines are egregiously long with disengaged cashiers. I would probably get a shorter wait time and actual items in stock at *whispers* Walmart. When I ask about wait times on pickup or drive up orders, they always cuts low staffing. Well, when are you going to hire more employees?!
I willingly drive to Newport News to visit their location because of how poorly managed this one is.
Pictures are from my last visit.
Had to run in for a few items. This Target was clean and had an abundance of everything you could possibly need or want. Shelves were stocked, but there were some items waiting to be put on shelves in the aisle. The staff was polite and answered any questions that I had. Walked by the Star Bucks that was inside and it appeared clean.
Not really a fan of this target. Target is supposed to be a higher end shopping experience I feel like, because they sell everything at a way higher cost than the dollar store or Walmart. Your paying for the target brand name. Well the store standards definitely don’t match the high priced items. It looks like price labels never get updated because I always feel swindled at self check out when I collectively think I’m spending $40 but I’m actually spending close to $60 because the price tags are outdated. The hair clips says $5, you ring them up they’re $8. The towels say $7 but ring up for $11 a piece. Especially when the paper tag on the item states the lower price. That’s false advertising and it’s illegal for businesses to do so it seems like the team needs to take the merchandising and pricing more seriously. They also make you pay for their recent remodel, on top of paying 2 seperate sales taxes. So on top of that you get to pay an additional .3 to .4 .5 cents per item you’re buying …. the actual environment is not safe to shop in and the retail workers are not friendly. I’m just saying to raise your store standards a little more and I may shop there again. I love the Jefferson location!
After waiting 15 mins and not having someone bring the order, I had to find a parking space and go inside. When I get to the service desk, someone who looks like a supervisor says, ‘Yes, we’re not doing orders that way today, and shrugs. I told her several other customers were outside waiting for their orders and she said, ‘Well, there’s a sign that says they need to come inside.’ I stressed to her that the customers obviously couldn’t see it because they were waiting. I asked to pick up my order and had to wait for them to get it. If they plan to shut down the service when it rains, it should not be an option in the app that day. They really dropped the ball on this one and the staff acted like the customers were wrong to be upset. I drove by to look for the signs and they were so small it’s no wonder nobody saw them. Do better, Hampton Target and staff.
Target is the best store. The workers are always nice and helpful, they always have what I’m looking for, and it’s the cleanest store that I’ve ever been too. I will always go to target for anything that I need because they never disappoint.
