The poor installation of the appliance and the lack of satisfactory customer service I encountered left me feeling let down by a company I once held in high regard.I recently purchased a dryer from Costco, and the installation process was an absolute nightmare. The installer appeared to have little regard for the proper procedures, resulting in a shoddy job. It was such a subpar installation that the duct vent actually detached after only one use! This is unacceptable and far below the standards that I had come to expect from Costco.
However, the real ordeal began when I reached out to Costco’s customer support for help. I was bounced around between various departments, each seemingly more eager than the last to pass off the responsibility. Not once did I feel like my concerns were truly being addressed, but rather that I was being given the runaround. This lack of accountability and evasiveness left me both frustrated and disappointed.
I have been a loyal executive member of Costco for years, but this experience has thoroughly soured my opinion of the company. If Costco is unable to stand behind its products and offer a satisfactory solution when things go awry, then they certainly don’t deserve my patronage.
This experience has been a significant waste of my time, and it is with regret that I must say this will be the last time I shop at Costco. The blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and the sheer lack of integrity are deal-breakers for me. It is disheartening to feel abandoned by a company you trusted for so long.
I hope Costco takes this review to heart and makes a concerted effort to improve their installation service and customer support. It would be a shame for others to experience the same letdown that I did.
3 months agoIt’s a good Costco, but it’s always busy and the parking lot is horrible. It’s hard to find assistance, but the employees are kind and helpful when you find them. Process are good, but you’re buying in bulk for most things so it’s a trade off. They do have good pre-made meals. Decontamination worth a stop, just try to go during the week to avoid the crowd.3 weeks agoConsidering the fact that people pay to shop here, you would think the staff wouldn’t be so incredibly rude. I just purchased a membership this year and every time I come to this location AND the one in fort myers they are always rude. Without fail, staff members seem to have an attitude when I am at self check out. I don’t know if it is because I seem really young or something but it’s getting extremely frustrating every time I go to Costco that I get treated like a toddler. It’s to the point I dread coming because I know I will be treated like dog water when I am simply just buying my groceries like everyone else. Staff needs to be reminded how to treat customers, no matter how old they are.

The closest Costco to my Mom’s place so we’re here at least once each time I am in Cape Coral to visit. The store is tidy and well lit and very well stocked. Queues to check out can be long at times, but so many people don’t look for the shortest queue which makes for an opportunity to move faster.
Look for the self-checkout. It works the same and you’ll be out faster.
A girl loves her Costco. Especially the Kirkland products. But let me just say…..the best time to hit up this particular Costco is in June. The place wasn’t jam-packed with tourists or seasonal residents. Which, if you are a local…ya know what I mean. But this Costco is great at keeping everything stocked and rotating in varieties of products that I’ll still visit during the season. Be prepared for lots of traffic. Little parking spots. And people everywhere. Still runs smooth like butter in this store. Kudos to them. Also, I appreciate how quickly Costco always gets their pumps up and running during hurricanes and open their pumps to non-members, too. 4 stars instead of 5 because it’s a madhouse during the season.
I got my hearing aids at this location. Tracy was amazing! A few weeks ago i had a problem with my left one & decided to try the Sarasota location. What a mistake. The lady that helped me was rude. I asked to have my right aid cleaned while I was there & it was returned extremely dirty. They had to send my left one out for service & when I picked it up I knew I’d never return to this location. I had another problem a week later with my left aid. I called Sandy at the Ft Myers store & she was able to give me instructions over the phone & my aid is working fine now. It’s very hard to have to drop off an aid for service & be without it for weeks. I’m very grateful to Sandy for her professionalism!!
What business is perfect, none of them. I come here unwaveringly because of the fuel prices and fuel quality. They turn over the fuel inventory so quickly you never get old fuel like some other discount buyers clubs. The service is great at all parts of this Costco. I love the tire shop also, the techs all have great attitude and work ethics in that department plus they never make you send in “mail in rebates”. Rebates are always given at register off the initial purchase price. Plus free tire warranties and free nitrogen gas tire fill, you can’t beat them for the money!
Welcome to costco! We love you! It really is the best place. I feel like this store stocks well but not the best. Moat expected items are present and many others rotate through. I never think im going to miss something going to this store.
