On 6/16, between 8-8:30 pm, I came in for a pick up. I walked over to the area for pick up, no one was at the counter. However, 10 feet away, two target employees were standing at the exchanges counter talking. No customers. Instead of just saying “someone will be with you” they looked at me, ignored me, kept talking and eventually walked away towards the registers. I understand if you’re busy but is it too much to say a few words. Now I’m just standing there wondering if I’m in the right place or what. Thankfully, a nice young lady with glasses walked by with her arms full of products and said someone will be right with me. She looked as if she came in from outside, which was in the middle of a down pour, and she was hustling. The other two employees came back to the exchanges and still said nothing to me. The hustler employee eventually came back and asked again if I had been helped. I hadn’t. She stopped to check my barcode and went and retrieved my order. Pleasantry’s were exchanged and she hustled away. I am not sure how long the whole thing lasted, probably 5 minutes or less. The point is, those two employees could learn a lot from the hustler employee about basic customer service.
Target is easily located, staff I encountered were nice and friendly and helpful. Had to get a return made bc I left an item behind at the register I was checked out at by an associate during in store purchase. Went back and the staff were easy, friendly and helpful. Made the return with no problems.
1 cash register opened and a line of 25 customers waiting on 4 self-checkout. If I don’t need the popsicles for the Sunday BBQ party. I would just leave the shopping cart and walked away. Think about it if I need to wait over 20 minutes in line to pay for the popsicles and spend another 30 minutes driving home. The popsicles has been out of the freezer for almost an hour. I don’t want to waste money on some halfway melted popsicles that I had to paid top dollars on. Thank God another cash register opened. A really nice customer saw that I had a lot of frozen goods in the cart and he let me go ahead of him.
Target’s Drive Up process is very smooth. We’ve had great experiences with their 104th St, Kent, location. The employees who work the Drive Up have been pleasant, rain or shine. The online search often doesn’t give me what I’m looking for, but the smoothness of the Drive Up process allows us to maintain the safety we still need.
I would recommend this location
My fiancé and I arrived 20 minutes before closing. We wanted to get our son a present for his birthday and we needed it before tomorrow. We went up to one of the workers and asked if she could help us out because we saw there were 4 in stock online but none were in the store. She went to the back and told us to wait for her. We waited until the store lights shut off then we started getting nervous. Another worker came over to make sure we were being helped. Shortly after she was attempting to help us, the original worker came back with the item we requested. She had to go to the very back of their inventory and get the large item down herself. She managed to do all of this just shortly after 10 pm. She then walked us to the front with our items and each worker that was at self checkout was extremely accommodating, friendly and helpful. They even wheeled it out to our truck for us and helped us put it in. I get anxious being in a store right before it closes but this experience was incredible. Thank you to everyone who helped us out last night, truly made a stressful situation go smoothly.
