  1. The leasing experience was amazing dajana did a wonderful job convincing us to move here. That was three months ago. 3 stars because the unit and property are amazing. The neighbors, homeless, drugs, and other items are not. We were shot with a pellet gun by someone in the tower while at the park. My dog almost ate a vial of drugs that was left in the park. People drive unsafe in the parking garage. We had our car broken into because the gate is always broken. If you like the smell of weed there is plenty of that. A lot of residents are very respectful but there are just as many who aren’t. Avoid the upper floors it just gets worse as the entitlement does.

My initial appointment to view a unit I was interested in was scheduled incorrectly twice. It was difficult to even have a leasing agent show me a unit I was interested in renting. After finally being able to view several units, I applied right away and did not get any follow up from the leasing agent whose name starts with a J and ends with van.

I provided all of the documents requested upon applying and had more than the 2.5x income requirement to qualify for the unit. I had to call the front desk so many times, only to be given the runaround, which meant I was either instructed to email the leasing agent who was ignoring all of my emails or told to call back later.

Some of my income documents were not even included in my file despite the fact that I had sent them what was requested of me. I even went back to talk to the leasing agent in person so I could figure out my impending moving plans and he gave me the runaround in person!

He gave some excuse citing the management team was in a business meeting and he ensured me he would call me by end of day. That never happened. At this point, I had wasted so much time, energy, and the $150 application fee- it had been nearly one week since my initial application and constant follow ups with the leasing company.

I finally decided enough was enough. I applied to a much more reputable and professional building and was approved in under 12 hours. I called the leasing agent and asked for my $150 deposit back, he bluntly refused and cited a 48 hour refund policy.

This leasing company is the most unprofessional, incorrigible, apathetic organization I have ever dealt with. I definitely dodged a bullet not renting here. In what other scenario would it make sense to treat a customer willing to spend thousands of dollars a month like disposable garbage? I completely understand why there are so many vacancies at this building. The way I was treated was a sign of what aggravations were to come had I had the misfortune of signing a lease.

  3. Please trust the reviews and stay away. We applied on May 22nd and after 3 weeks of making us jump through hoops and pay a 3rd party company an additional deposit, all of a sudden the unit we’ve had reserved for almost a month now is no longer available until 3 weeks after the date we were told. Now I understand things change and they have that in writing. But through this whole process they were unresponsive, uncommunicative, and lied multiple times. They will tell you someone will call you back and they won’t. They will tell you there is nothing to worry about and everything is on track. Do not trust a word they say. We are moving from out of state and now have no idea where we will be living. They wasted 3 weeks leading us on when we could’ve secured housing elsewhere. Daniely was our leasing agent, and she was very unhelpful and rarely responds to emails and NEVER returns calls. Only one leasing agent is assigned to you so if they are not there no one else will help you. When they are there, they are too “busy” to answer your questions. I’ve worked in leasing, the 12-18 month free special is because no one wants to live there so they need to incentivize it in someway. I should have known better but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unprofessional, sketchy, does not care about you as a person even in the slightest. The pictures are pretty but this was the most stressed and frustrated I’ve been in a very long time.

  4. I’ve had a pleasant experience getting into Spire. The screening and steps are extensive but Shaheem has been communicative, patient, and accommodating every step of the way. I was skeptical at first given the reviews, and while I haven’t moved in yet, I can vouch that the new management team is on top of their game! I’m so thankful! I cannot wait to get into my apartment!

  5. Many better options downtown.

My fob for garage access doesn’t work and I’ve spoken with the office a few times about it and they haven’t fixed it. I just wait until another car arrives to open the garage each time I come home.

They send your mail back to the sender after three (or fewer) days (even though they have a giant room for packages that is always pretty empty). I was out of town for a couple of days once and had a package arrive on Friday. I called them to ask if they could please not return it to sender and I would be back on Monday. They returned it to the sender on Sunday, and it was time sensitive so that was super inconvenient.

2-3 of the 4 elevators are often reserved or out of service, meaning there can be a decent line for the elevator.

I’ve had a very difficult time having maintenance requests responded to.

There are some fees that seem a bit high. You can’t have an extra fob for your front door and the door locks automatically behind you so I get locked out every once in awhile and they charge $150 to let you back in.
