    First time trying out the gym since the pandemic and I’ve never been a weightlifting girly so I thought I’d give it a shot. Everyone is so sociable and the front desk workers are very hospitable/personable. The facility is super clean too and the pool is a big plus! 10/10 would recommend!

    I just changed gyms recently and moved to the Muv South Hill location. I was a huge fan of the facility and the staff was amazing. Especially Tori. She made the sign up process super easy and gave me a great tour of the place. Well run business with great staff!

    I’ve always felt intimidated going to the gym and trying to figure out how the machines work and what exercises to do on the weight floor, but training with Cameron has helped build my confidence and knowledge of circuit and strength training. I’m already seeing amazing results in muscle gain, endurance and strength and feeling more confident. Cameron provides Individualized workout plans that focus on all my trouble areas and difficulty is tailored to my ability to perform the exercises safely. We work on form so that I can better perform and get the results I want. He knows when to push me and when to hold back, every session he’s always encouraging and believing in my ability to grow and succeed in my workouts to reach my goals. Some great advice he gave me when I got discouraged is “consistency is key”. He’s always got such a great fun and positive energy that makes coming to the gym more enjoyable. Now I look forward to working out and getting stronger!

    Before I start I don’t want the get the standard answer comment “ I am sorry for you bad experience please email this person bla bla bla “ before you sign for this gym make sure u take the free week pass. Thus Gym is super crowded not matter what time you go. Main reason is because they closed the downtown location ( you will get lies that they bought old Albertsons and they will build a “new” gym there. Gym is very old lots of equipment broken, bathroom sinks a facets broke, the all place is felling a part due the lack of maintenance, when it rains the place leaks, and instead working on fix it then much rather closed the area with tape. Worse part is parking there is impossible! Plus many cars been broken ( probably by the same person) they don’t have security cameras issue is been brought to manager but nothing changes. “ trainers” are terrible the only talk and talk and try to sale instead actually do their job. When it snows the “ front desk” or person working there not de iced the main entrance ( several people had fall down there) I am so sorry if I been too negative but I just not want anyone sign before knowing the true!

    For many, the gym can be a place that is rather intimidating but in the years that I have been going to the South Hill Muv, I have never felt out of place or uncomfortable and that is in large part due to the friendly, professional, knowledgeable and easily approachable staff. If you are looking for a trainer, you can’t go wrong with any of them but I highly recommend Jeremy. He has an incredible passion for fitness and it shows. All of the trainers there really seem to take the time to get to know their clients. I feel like they want to learn what is important to you as well as better understand your needs in order to help you achieve your fitness goals.

    I’ve been a member at NW Blvd for over four years and the condition of the gym right now is worse than it ever has been. The door on the only private dressing room in the ladies locker room has been off its hinges for almost a year. There are machines down that have been down for months, and it’s becoming painfully obvious how little attention is being paid to maintenance. All that happens when you email in to discuss this is you get told to talk to the manager. I have talked to the manager who does not have a clear timeline on any repairs. Some of these repairs are as simple as replacing bolts. Two machines were missing pins and were down for over a month. Speaking to the manager doesn’t work, emailing concerns doesn’t work. How is a paying customer supposed to justify a gym membership at a gym that no longer maintenances equipment. So disappointed in the continued lack of response on this issue.

    Ironically as you can see, the owner yet again requested pics emailed to social@planetfitness.com even though I posted them directly in the review. It’s as if the intention is to keep the customers pointing out the concerns about the condition of the gym in an endless loop of useless communication all while the maintenance of the equipment continues to be ignored. This is an absolute joke.

    Great staff. Good place to work out night or day. I had one bad experience, but they solved the situation well. The cleanliness of the facility is great when it’s not packed.

    Today was my first day back in the gym the with mask mandate lifted!! I was so excited to come back to this gym. Ryan was super helpful with an issue I had and made my day! He was very welcoming and had a great attitude. This planet fitness is wonderful and has great employees! 👍

    I am so impressed with the changes that are happening with this gym since Brook has taken over as manager. The bathrooms have been fixed and are much cleaner than they have been in the past. The staff is now more alert, makes an effort to clean the floors and exercise equipment, and even greets you as you come into the facility. Brook has made a conscious effort to maintain and fix the broken or run-down equipment, which takes time when having to order parts and then have the techs come in to fix the broken one when the parts come in. It takes time to fix issues with the equipment and the staff when things have been run so poorly in the past. Brook and her staff are doing a great job with establishing and maintaining a more enjoyable experience for its members. Thank you.

    It has been great so far. I enjoy the tanning, massage equipment, and full body enhancement. I will say people do not wipe down equipment after use, and it’s pretty nasty. I wipe down before and after use because people, especially males, use the equipment and sweat all over it and just hop to the next one. It’s a fairly clean facility and most of the staff is personable, but if I’m being honest, they act like you’re bothering them when you go up for help, when you’re new. One guy was sitting on the counter texting, sighed after looking and me and reluctantly came over to help. He got nice after realizing how nice I am but clearly they get paid minimum wage as it’s reflected in their enthusiasm for working here. Overall, okay for $25 a month and $10 a month if you only use one location and not the massage,tanning etc… Chop shop feel is what I would call it..

  2. I like Muv, very clean I love the trainers always happy. Parking can be a bit of a problem depending on the time you go. I also wish there was more classes available. Good equipment and a lot to choose from. Matt and Kenny go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcomed.

  3. Every social place of business I step into, the first thing I look for is someone greeting me. I think it’s personally the most important part of working at the front doors of any business. “Making your costumers feel appreciated,” is the most important job for any business. I am happy to say that I feel very appreciated every time I walk in and Kiersten is there to greet me with a big smile and a happy attitude, most importantly when I leave shes right there again to wish me a good night! So I’d like to say thank you Kiersten for your positive energy!!!

  4. Matt is the most knowledgeable and amazing trainer I’ve worked with! After all of my surgeries I’ve had a hard time getting back in the gym and not causing myself more pain Matt has been able to get my body moving and help me feel like I can get my body back.
    I highly recommend Matt and anyone else at MUV to get the job done!

  5. Holly went above and literally BEYOND with her customer service skills. She was able to get me membership adjusted quickly. The club is clean and tidy and they maintain the equipment. Ain’t nothing better than a gym that smells fresh and clean even when it is busy. Parking lot is usually busy but there is a reason why. This place is fantastic. #memberforLIFE
