Always greeted with a hello and smile! I usually shop in the early morning and it’s fully stocked! The prices are good and I’m satisfied with the store in whole!

This is possibly the worst Walmart staff I’ve EVER seen, and that’s saying something. The horrible old ghetto black woman who works “security” accused me of stealing a $5 bottle of wine? She was rude, LOUD and wrong! The other two “security” guys were completely incompetent and pretty much useless. The cashier that checked me out was just as incompetent but she was a least nice, but she didn’t add the wine to my bill and couldn’t read the date on my I.d. How do you hire someone who can barely read or speak English? HORRIBLE

It’s crowded, there are never enough lines, and the place is heavily disorganized. But when you need stuff late night, it’s nice to have around. I shop around 8-10pm with fewer issues. No access to customer service, but the customer service is iffy at best during the day anyway. Excellent craft and party sections. Update 07/27/22 Still crowded, but there are alot more registers open. The selection for beauty products disappoints me. There aren’t many black options despite this walmart being in a mostly black neighborhood. The craft section is pretty good.

Unprofessional on all levels! A Black woman stopped me at the door—after I made my purchases—and asked to see my sales receipt; meanwhile, a Latino woman in front of me was not asked. A customer saw what occurred and noted her displeasure with what she saw. I corrected the woman who checked my receipt for her selective profiling. After I left, I called the store to speak with a manager. A young, ignorant girl answered the phone and hung up when I asked to speak with a manager, who she noted was named Patrick but was on vacation.

On 6/2/23 I spoke with Mr. Ngwa in the pharmacy dept to assist my sister with an issue concerning a prescription that was lost while travelling. Mr Ngwa was very polite, helpful & patient with listening to all details. He took the time to connect w/insurance Co. and kept us informed during the wait until the matter was resolved. Kudos and thank you so much for your awesome customer service and not wavering to assist with getting the prescription approved to be filled! Definitely an exceptional & valued employee.

Really impressed with this Walmart today. At this one and the Riggs Rd location, it is usually awful to try and check out. Both typically have few checkout lines open and the lines to get out go back into the clothing section, behind the checkout, and beyond. I used to wonder how anyone got anything frozen. Today (9-25-21) it seemed like every register was open and there was no line extending into the walkway. I didn’t wait to get to a register–at all! The selection is pretty standard for a Walmart in DC, but with more international options than others. The weather is cooling down, but I was excited to see a variety of helados I will add pictures of. I also had a moment of nostalgia seeing a box of moon pies on display, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen in DC over the past decades!

It’s a one stop shop for me. They have all I want and more. I like their self serve checkout station. You could pay in cash or credit.

This place has everything you need and more. The only set back is the checkout. Especially on certain days. Sometimes You don’t know where the line begins.

Cashiers are slow and under trained, management staff screaming across the store from self check out to last register

  1. Its a typical Walmart.
The grocery/ fruits and veggies area were all clean and well stocked.
The aisles were also clutter free but the fishing section was small and rods not well organised.
A few of the units were either broken or too tangled to get to.
Its a pretty busy store and the fact that it was well maintained means I’ll def return.

  2. Usually I have good experiences with Walmart. One employee there is always so helpful with anyone who needs help. She has a nice personality. Always pleasant and concern that you find what you need. Her name is Kim. Great job Kim!!!

  3. It was a guy name Terell who assisted some months buy at customer service. He was very positive and explained the return process and even took me to get the correct item in exchange. I came back like 1 month after around March, I shop every 2 weeks, and haven’t seen him since. Stephanie attitude towards paying customers is very rude and them always checking receipts knowing we came from the registers so if something not scanned it should be there punishment not ours!!!

  4. This Walmart is at Street level. No need to climb stairs or take escalator / lift. Also it is very easy to load bags into the car right in front of the store. Bus Route No 70 / 79 stops few steps from the entrance. Very convenient to go, shop and return. Plus, it is a superstore so I can buy everything.

  5. I bought blood glucose check kit, the meter, the needles and the lancet. When I got to the garage putting the items in my car I realized that the 2 packs of lancets $17.99 each was not compatible with the meter. I went back and bought the correct ones and tried to return, the customer service lady said it’s not returnable. I talk to the manager and she told me the same thing. I went to my car and came back, packages are intact, I have my receipts but they told me it’s non returnable. Which was not reasonable and not helpful at all. I was very disappointed.
