While out and about, I remember that I needed some storage containers to clean up and organize my home. It was 10pm on a Saturday night during this trip. The parking lot wasn’t full and there weren’t many people inside. I noticed that many items that college students would need was out of stock or low in stock such as cooking utensils, bathroom items, and bedroom items. I found a 50qt container for $7, which was a rollback. It was on the end of an aisle. Right when I was about to checkout, I just so happen to look over and see an entire aisle of storage containers, which I’m glad I did! I ended up finding an 18 gal container for the same price. I got 3. I also grabbed some clothes hangers for my kid because he needed more. It seems like majority of the time kids hangers or low in stock or they don’t have any. When it was time to checkout, I noticed lines of people. There was 1 line with an actually person open and the self checkout by grocery section was open. It was around 10:25 when I checked out and the line wasn’t too bad; short wait. I used Walmart app to pay. With the app, you can add your debit, gift card, credit card. You get an electronic receipt, which I love! If you get a printed receipt, you can upload it and store a electronic copy. They normally have security outside in the parking lot. This Walmart is the closet to my house, so I come here frequently. A good portion of the college students come here as A&T is less than 10 minutes away. Tip: Use Walmart app to scan items to get prices.

Good place to watch people walk out the door with a cart-full of stuff that everyone else has to work and pay for. You can watch them walk out with stuff while you spend an hour trying to use the self checkout because there is no space to put your stuff after it is bagged.

I shop here for most of my needs. My only complaint is I do not like the self checkout. I think it’s much slower, impersonal, and takes away jobs from people. Cashier is not only a respectable job but it can be a great first job for younger people.

This is DAY 3 of trying to get tires from Walmart. I had an appt at 7am Nov. 8th no techs. Then again on the 9th no techs till 10am (I couldn’t wait hence why I scheduled at 7am). I doubled back yesterday afternoon to only find out they only had 1 tech and he was leaving at 5pm. Now today AGAIN 7AM (2nd scheduled) and they are not OPEN. It is technically 7:18am and they are still closed. Walmart tires are cheaper but you pay a higher price due to the lack of good customer service. Never an apology just excuses. If you’re not going to open at 7am you should change your hours. If you’re not going to provide service past 5pm you should probably close at 5pm instead of 7pm. If you are understaffed you should probably hire people and train them. At this point I’d rather pay more money for a better experience. 😡🤬👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

Update!! My original post was a few years ago. I gave it 2 stars. I’m downgrading to 1 star. I honestly have too many negative things to say. Shop at your own risk. Every trip is a new nightmare. It’s definitely a company issue. The employees do try to do well. Company policies make things very difficult. Having 1 register open that’s not self checkout is absolutely ridiculous. I have no desire to cashier at Walmart, so why am I forced to do that job. Well I guess now that they have it working they expect you to use it. At least give a discount because we are saving you money on wages by working for free and paying for goods. If you must shop Walmart go to the Battleground location. Even the parking lot at this location is a hazard. Original Review When this store first opened it was thought that this would be such an improvement to the area. I’m sad to say it’s more of a disappointment. There are good days but there are more bad days. It’s ridiculous, the amount of time you have to wait for assistance at EVERY counter. I needed jewelry and I was never assisted. I needed a few electronics and had to find someone in another department for help. The girl in the toys did try to help, but said she wasn’t sure because that’s not her department. The lady that manages the site to store pickup WAS very helpful and knowledgeable. She was the only one in the store that was of some assistance. The bathrooms are not great but if you have to go it’s useable. They have satellite sales people walking around harassing you. I was literally approach back-to-back by two different people after I had already declined. I’ve complained about this before in the past and Walmart has done nothing about it. I think they should have a table set up and not approach shoppers. It’s annoying! I’m walking around trying to avoid them. I do not seem to have this issue at other locations. I visited this store mid day, and like most days, very few registers were open. I complained to an associate who disclosed that she too was unhappy. I attempted to use the self-checkout only to find that ALL of them were broken. If you can avoid this store I suggest you do so. I’ve had many negative encounters with this store. Management is receptive of the information but they do nothing to change the store. This store certainly leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Avoid an upsetting experience and go somewhere else if possible. Please see photos of closed lanes and counters with no employees to assist.

This was the worst atmosphere … the customers are absolutely treated like an assembly line. The line was all the way down the food isles. They need more registers foe self-checkout. Stay up with the times walmart. You know walmart should really pay more to their people because they don’t even barely get paid $14 an hour and the majority of the people are older folks that can’t find jobs because of discrimination.

Worst service and worst employees and bad customers ever. Social distancing is not mandatory . If you are worried about getting covid don’t go in a store and not wearing a mask and be rude to other customers saying keep your distance. I have had my shots. I’ll pray for you for being so rude. Then tell me I can’t put my groceries up on the belt . Even when you had your groceries already checked out on and put in your buggy. Will not come back to this store. Employees don’t know how to scan and work at a certain speed so that there are no lines. But they have tons of lines. Have a great day. This store used to be great

I enjoy Walmart. The prices are reasonable compared to other stores. Some cheaper. I have to ask for help and they are more than willing. Even strangers offer help when things are high up. Have been shopping at Elmsley since it opened.

Walmart is always the last resort for shopping in our house. They either need to replace more empty registers with additional self checkout or maintain a staff appropriate to handle their regular business on a day to day basis. Prices are often inaccurate, staff is stretched to the limit, wait times at checkout are rarely reasonable and they got you on 16 cameras and two employees watching you checking out but still feel the need to verify your receipt at the door.

staff is cooperative, but the prices are very high compared to other stores, especially the products in the clearence section. The prices are even higher than the prices on amazon and eBay besides the fact that some medical products were expired or near to get expired. I left the store without buying anything. over all good experience very cooperative staff.

  1. I was in and out in a jiffy I went to Woodforest talk to the pretty bank teller and went and got some nacho cheese dip everybody was polite friendly and very helpful.

I have a series I’m doing at Walmart so check out my Instagram mannymac2015 like and comment.

  2. I really like & care about almost every one of the employees at this Walmart on Wendover Ave., & only have a problem w 1 employee who{ I found out has an attitude w anyone & everyone according 2 another Walmart employee} But yeah the guy has been rude to me since the first time I ever had to deal w him,& now if my favorite in electronics isn’t working, I won’t even pass by the electronics section , I’m not going to say the rude employee’s name on here but I will say avoid the really short guy in electronics, also there are 4 greeters that know my son and I by name & always personally welcome us w huge smiles, nice conversation & they always do their best to make my son feel special & seen,(u would understand if you knew my baby boy) &I really appreciate it…. We also know most of the cashier’s and they take time out of their day no matter what to talk 2 both of us , sometimes give my son gifts and play games w him while I’m shopping,I highly recommend this Walmart,

  3. Think really wise and smart before you sign at Princeton terrace apartments in Greensboro NC on rehobeth church road my living room ceiling is about to fall through because of pure neglect from management at Princeton terrace apartments. If i were the next person who wants to move into 3308-w speak with the office ask to look inside the apartment unit before you sign your lease and make sure to ask about past damage history cause it will be a mistake this place is 💯% unprofessional and will hang up the phone on a resident I got hung up on today because I’m angry that my living room ceiling is about to give out soon I’ve been waiting 3 weeks for a repair man to come fix my living room ceiling to 100% satisfaction but nope they cannot do it cause they are not professionals at fixing the water damages on the roof and in my opinion Princeton terrace apartments needs new management ! . I’m surprised that Princeton terrace apartments doesn’t have new repair man and a new landlord and office manager the landlord/office manager and her husband the lead repair man is the main problem why Princeton terrace apartments is going slowly down hill .I’m so happy I found another place to live it’s only 3 years old and it has way better management and it’s gotten way better rent options and it’s very very clean no drugs no Marijuana to constantly smell as I walk outside my front door and especially no unprofessional landlord and no unprofessional office manager and unprofessional repair men and my living room ceiling may fall through but either way the ball is in my court .

  4. I walked in this facility around 815am. Nobody greeted me. The worker especially in the deli was talking to someone else about not having a break. I had a question about party trays. Several associates were in the deli. Nobody said a word to me. I felt like an inconvenience. This person that I mentioned prior rudely replied with needing 24 hrs for a party tray. I will not order anything from the deli. Fast forward to checkout, there was no greeting by the cashier. I asked for my receipt to be placed in the bag. She slid my receipt on the surface. It appears that the staff are upset about their schedule. They chose the schedule or accepted the schedule and need to appreciate the fact that they have a job when someone may not who would love the chance to shine and demonstrate excellent customer service. Changes need to be made in this organization! I did rate the cashier as a 1 during checkout.

  5. Laid out different than most of the Walmarts I’ve been in. Were very helpful with exchanging an item that I bought from them and was missing a part. Didn’t ask any questions, just replaced it and was on my way, quick and painless. Very happy with the experience
