This is where I go when I want a pizza but feel like spending 65p more than the takeaway and fancy cooking it myself, then enjoying it less. It’s also where I go for bars of Galaxy chocolate when I feel like paying 45p more than they cost in every other shop. Also, the staff and customers are extremely unpleasant in this store so it’s perfect for masochists.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Tesco Metro at Eldon Square in Newcastle, and I must say it was an absolute delight. As a movie lover, the location couldn’t be more perfect, with the nearby Cineworld just a stone’s throw away. But what truly impressed me was the incredible value I found at Tesco Metro, thanks to their fantastic Clubcard Meal Deals and snacks!

Firstly, the convenience factor cannot be overstated. Tesco Metro is conveniently located within Eldon Square, making it incredibly easy to pop in and grab everything I needed before heading to the movies. The store layout was well-organized, with clear signage and helpful staff, ensuring a hassle-free shopping experience.

Now, let’s talk about the star of the show, the £3.40 Clubcard Meal Deals! These meal deals are an absolute steal, providing excellent value for money. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of options available, from sandwiches and wraps to salads and pasta dishes. It was refreshing to find a range of high-quality, freshly prepared meals at such an affordable price. The taste and freshness exceeded my expectations, and it was the perfect way to satisfy my hunger before the movie.

But that’s not all! Tesco Metro’s snack selection deserves special mention. They have a vast array of snacks and treats, catering to every craving imaginable. Whether you’re in the mood for a bag of popcorn, a selection of chocolates, or some refreshing beverages, they have it all. The prices were reasonable, and the selection was extensive, making it easy to find something to suit every taste.

What impressed me the most about Tesco Metro was the attention to detail and the commitment to customer satisfaction. The staff members were friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with any queries I had. The store was clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere.

Overall, I highly recommend Tesco Metro at Eldon Square to anyone looking for a fantastic shopping experience before catching a movie at Cineworld. The £3.40 Clubcard Meal Deals and snack selection provide unbeatable value, and the convenience of having everything you need in one place is simply unmatched. Bravo to Tesco Metro for making my cinema outing truly memorable. I will definitely be returning for more incredible deals and delicious snacks in the future!

Fruit and veg always rotten in the shelves. On the off chance it isn’t, it will go rotten before you even get it home.

They never stock essential items (e.g. toilet roll, kitchen paper) instead opting to fill shelves with items like Easter Eggs from Jan 1st.

Headed there today and it was the last straw. The fridges were obviously not working (or turned off) over the holiday period. The meat on the shelves is currently black and the staff have just left it there.

Ironically, this is the most expensive grocery shop in the whole city centre. Head to M&S and you’ll pay the same but you can do a whole shop and the food won’t be rotten.

I used to like calling in to get a meal deal and a couple of other bits and pieces before going in to work as the store in meant to open at six AM, tried to go in at twenty to eight to be told the store is closed…..no wonder Google maps shows the store as less buy than usual, just have to change my route to work and shop else where.

Unbelievably rude staff (especially the blonde woman) one of the staff members came and stood right in my way until I moved out of her way no sorry no nothing she walked right into me and the looks she gives people is unacceptable. She then made an arsey comment about not stepping on the wet floor in a rude manner.will never ever be coming back here. Appalling.

Really nice little place. Clean and tidy. Yes you pay bit more here but it’s handy for grabbing something if you forgotten you food for work. They offer good variety of produce. They do good meal deal at reasonable price. The staff are really helpful and friendly and most of them will go out the way for you. I do visit this shop regularly as it’s beside where I work, so I will be back and have definitely recommended to others. Its right beside local bus service and St James metro and of course right next to St James Park, Newcastle United foot ball stadium C’mon the toon ⚽⚽ X

  1. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tesco Extra in Kingston Park, and I must say the service I received at both the shop and the cafe was truly outstanding. Tesco has always been known for its commitment to customer satisfaction, and this particular branch exemplified that reputation with its exceptional service.

Firstly, the staff at the shop were friendly, helpful, and attentive. From the moment I entered the store, I was greeted with warm smiles and a willingness to assist. Whenever I had a question or needed help locating an item, the employees went above and beyond to provide the information I needed. Their knowledge of the store’s layout and product range was impressive, making the shopping experience efficient and enjoyable.

The shop itself was well-organized and neatly stocked. The shelves were well-maintained, and the aisles were clear and easily navigable. The variety and range of products available were extensive, catering to a wide range of needs and preferences. Whether I was looking for groceries, household items, or personal care products, Tesco Extra in Kingston Park had everything I needed in one convenient location.

The checkout process was smooth and efficient. The cashiers were quick and professional, ensuring minimal waiting time. They handled transactions with a friendly demeanor, adding to the overall positive experience. The self-checkout options were also available for those who preferred a faster and more independent checkout experience.

The Tesco cafe in Kingston Park was equally impressive. The staff members were attentive and provided excellent service. They promptly took orders, and the food was prepared with care and delivered in a timely manner. The menu offered a wide selection of delicious options, including hot meals, sandwiches, salads, and desserts. The quality of the food was consistently good, and the portion sizes were satisfying.

The cafe’s ambiance was inviting, with comfortable seating and a pleasant atmosphere. It provided a relaxing space for customers to enjoy a meal or take a break from their shopping. The cleanliness of the cafe was notable, further enhancing the overall dining experience.

In conclusion, Tesco Extra in Kingston Park offers exceptional service both in the shop and the cafe. The friendly and helpful staff, well-organized store layout, extensive product range, efficient checkout process, and enjoyable dining experience in the cafe make it a top choice for shoppers and diners alike. If you’re in the Kingston Park area and seeking great service and convenience, I highly recommend visiting Tesco Extra for a remarkable shopping and dining experience.

  2. I visited the cafe today with a friend and we enjoyed the experience very much. The two staff members David and Ronda were fabulous. The care, attention and friendly attitude towards customers was wonderful. Nothing was to much trouble.
The food was so delicious, I would highly recommend a visit.

  3. I came to this branch today to shop, I was looking for the key for the electrical box, very well, he guided me. Finally, I went to the cashier and forgot my club card password. The cashier was a very kind girl who solved my problem. It was really valuable for me

  4. The Manager and Security think it’s OK to not only wrongly accost a vulnerable young adult with educational needs, but to accuse him of theft, then laugh at him AND his family, who were there with a trolley full of shopping. Totally embarrassing them and putting them through a completely unnecessary ordeal is not only illegal, but hugely unprofessional and needs to be investigated asap!
You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves!
