Self-Service Car Wash Prices in the US

Here is a price table of self-car washes in the US:

Type of Self-Car Wash Price Description
Basic Self-Car Wash $5 – $10 Includes washing, waxing, and vacuuming.
Comprehensive Self-Car Wash $10 – $15 Includes washing, waxing, vacuuming, and detailing the interior and exterior of your car.
Self-Service Car Wash $5 – $10 You wash your car yourself using the equipment provided by the self-car wash.

Here are some factors that can affect the cost of a self-car wash:

  • The size of your car: Larger cars will typically cost more to wash than smaller cars.
  • The level of detail you want: A more comprehensive wash will typically cost more than a basic wash.
  • The location of the self-car wash: Self-car washes in urban areas will typically cost more than self-car washes in rural areas.
  • The time of day you get your car washed: Self-car washes are typically busiest during peak hours, such as weekends and evenings.

If you are looking for a more affordable option, you can consider doing a self-service car wash. Self-service car washes typically cost around $5 – $10, and you can wash your car as often as you like. However, self-service car washes can be time-consuming and messy.

Ultimately, the best way to find out the cost of a self-car wash in your area is to call around to different self-car washes and get quotes. You can also use online resources, such as Yelp or Google Maps, to compare prices.

My wife and I will never go anywhere else. Love the prices, love the big bays to wash both our cars at the same time. We actually spend about an hour on each car while we are there, unless we’re in a rush, in that case we use the auto wash. In 5 years I’ve only had to issues, both with mechanical problems. Both times my issue was fixed in less than 20 seconds. I even had a worker there use his personal card to let me finish my wash when the machine messed up and ate 13.00 I had put in. Great service.

I chose an automatic bay for my car wash. That was by far the best automatic car wash I have discovered in the far NE and far NW. Devils Lake is usually about my halfway point to my destination 3-6 days a week. I was extremely impressed and oversatisfied with the results of the car wash. Bugs quickly and thickly accumulate on my windshield, side mirrors, and front of my vehicle causing me to have to stop about every hour to clean my windows. The automatic car wash at Dukes Car Wash is NOT like other automatic car washes I’ve been to. This one actually washes the vehicle and blasts off bugs and other accumulated debris at a very fair and reasonable price. This will definitely be a frequent stop and habit that I will use atleast 2-3 times a week.

The personal car wash bays are clean and accommodating. Also, the staff are very helpful and know how to detail a car PROPERLY. However, I was Absolutely astounded by how horrible the automatic wash is!! It used to be fine.

Hot water in the self-service bays in the wintertime is a must! Crossroads has it figured out. What is your excuse superwash?

Decent little car wash. There are some comments on how the card reader operates. I initially had thought I was overcharged for a couple washes but the fifteen dollar charges adjusted to their correct amounts. If you’re worried about the card readers maybe use cash.

I got stuck in a blizzard over night. I used the card reader without reading reviews. Had it charge 2 15$ charges and had to contact superwash hq. They had the owner get back to me and I was informed there is a STOP BUTTON ON THE CARD READER MACHINE it’s not just the stop on the switch you have to switch the switch to stop to stop the water pump, then there is a stop button on the card reader from what I was told. I did not notice a stop button on the card reader machine but I could have missed it. I was stuck and passing through had to spray out a snow packed engine bay and 2 inch ice off the wheel from the car being stuck on 94’s median for the whole blizzard. Be sure to switch it to stop then press stop on the reader. Or the reader will keep going until it times out at 15$.

DO NOT use the card reader if you feel like paying less than a minimum of $15 per swipe. It’s an absolute scam and should definitely tell you about that. Otherwise it’s an alright place

  1. Love this place! Well lit, clean, affordable, gets the job done, open 24/7. Vacuuming stations are also available. One unique thing about this wash barn is the center has tall wash areas for RVs and or boats.

  2. Love the touch-less wash option. Had troubles with the door not opening for my wash and texted the business number, got an immediate response and the issue was fixed within seconds. Will be back!

  3. I frequent the WashBarn in both Mandan and Bismarck without major problems, mostly mud piles from previous customers, which the ownership can’t fix, but today took the cake! I went to wash my car in the third stall at the Mandan location started putting in my quarters and it kept eating them without recognizing the deposit only a third of my quarters were recognized (12/36) and then I tried calling the phone listed at the property and not only did no one answer, given that it’s a Sunday is more understandable, but you can’t leave a message because the voicemail is full. If you’re gonna be open on a Sunday, then maybe you need to have someone available for a phone call. So am I just out $7.50? I guess that’s one way to make more money.

  4. Only Cold water, NO WASH SOAP had to use the brush to clean entire vehicle and rinse for $10.00. Doors randomly broken. VAC too bulky to get anything but your seats. The “wash” mode wouldn’t clean anything but the bubbles. My car wasn’t filthy, just road dust that I could wipe off with my finger. Will not be returning. Only stopped here because I have a roof rack that brings my clearance above 7 feet high.

  5. Great location, great car Wash. What does soap sucks. Pre-soak, pressure wash soap and Dove soap in the brush did a terrible job
