a month agoI had a membership with this GO car wash for about 2 years. In that time, I would go 4-5 times a month. I’ve had minor scratches come up throughout but nothing super major. 60% of the time when I would go, they would have almost all vacuums closed off and 80% of the time they would have no towels. The ENTIRE 2 years, the mat wash was broken or out of order. What finally did it for me was after two years, I got a huge scratch on the side and extended up to the top of my new car. I reported the scratch to them, they took pictures, etc. (also- the man that took images was incredibly rude and told me, “it’s unlikely they’ll do anything.” ) Well, he was right. About a week later I get a call and the representative told me that it can’t be proved it was them and that it was most likely a tree. I am including images because I do not know any trees that scratch sideways when driving forward or backwards. Also, I do not drive under trees where I commute. Anyway, I want to give 2 stars because the wash would mostly get off bugs better than others, but I am not because of the customer care I was provided. I hope this helps someone else avoid scratches on their nice vehicles.7 months agoSwitched to this car wash in hopes of it being better and closer than other competitors and I have to say I think I’ll be going out of my way and back to the better wash. The staff is so rude and unhelpful. The guy who I believe is the manager is the worst one with an attitude towards customers. The mat cleaner hasn’t worked since I started my membership 2-3 months ago and the wash is terrible. Everytime I go I have to wipe down my ENTIRE car to get dirt off that the wash didn’t. When I asked an employee about it I was told that the top brush doesn’t work on cars with roof racks so I guess that excuses the rest of my car still being filthy including my hood and rear bumper especially. The attendants only spray prewash on the driverside of your car when theres clearly sprayers on each side for a reason. It’s so bad that while cleaning my car yesterday, myself and another customer had a 15 minute conversation about how unsatisfied we both were with our experiences there. Not worth the trouble, hopefully someone see’s this and addresses the issues. I’ll leave the pictures I took of my car after the wash yesterday.6 months agoMy car came out of the wash scratched on the hood and both sides. Filed a complaint, we will see where it goes. Even the manager who is just trying to do his job recognized the scratched. There is no way that the scratches could come from anything also than the wash especially since I noticed them within less than 30 mins.2 years agoI expect better than this for a $20 car wash. Also, no way to rinse off or clean rubber floor mats.
Finally, the top roof rack bar was damaged. Went into the wash with no issues, came out looking like the photos. Have never had issues with our roof rack before. I did my best to put it back, but its damaged. It no longer stays connected.
There are quite a few other reviews recently of people with damaged cars, and no responses from the owner despite seeing the owner respond to other reviews. Check the dates on reviews as you scroll – Google doesn’t auto-sort by date. The most recent reviews share experiences like mine.
2 months agoPoorly maintained brushes that leave scratches and abrasions on vehicle. Took a brand new car (less than 100 miles) through the wash and left with scratches all down the passenger side. Manager on site acknowledged their car wash brushes left scratches on the new vehicle. I got a call the next day from his supervisor who denied the claim, said that’s not possible. He stated that their car wash is perfect, that they have had 0 complaints, 0 reports of damage, and their brushes are not capable of leaving scratches on cars (lie or otherwise ignorant to the fact that is not true). Based on the reviews here and speaking with others, there have definitely been other reports of damage and this is a known, reoccurring issue. I am still awaiting a call from his supervisor. Will update accordingly as claim proceeds. Seems like a silly process when the company knows they are at fault and it would cost around $100 or less to buff out and make right.UPDATE: Henry Bellefonte, who I am told is the owner, called me and instructed me to make a claim on my own insurance on my car with less than 100 miles damaged by his wash. Upon telling him that was unacceptable due to his wash damaging my car, he told me to go F myself and hung up on me.

in the last weekI don’t like that they make you pay for your air freshener at this location. It’s always more crowded and you have to drive thru right by the Italian restaurant line which makes it pretty confusing. My favorite location is the one near the Ethan’s. I always go to The Better Wash. I love how you can just sit in your car and it comes out looking great. The vacuums and air are free here too.2 months agoWorst wash I have been to. My cars has never had any damage and is inspected every year at the dealership for damage and issues. we went through the wash and the spinning towels took off the drivers side mirror. The store denied responsibility by stating that there is previous damage to the vehicle when there is obviously not. I took pictures right after it happened.4 weeks agoThis Better Was hand dries your car. Hardly ever a line. The curly haired lady is always nice and friendly. They added a cone by the entry point. I haven’t had to readjust my tires since! I also like the Barry Road one, but the windshield is always too wet after. They need an additional top dryer. Water gets pushed forward and resets it, no had dryers. Plenty of vacuume and air spots. Convenient location.a month agoThis is the BEST car wash hands down!! Attendant sprays vehicle off before going through the wash to ensure all the bugs are off and then two attendants wipe down the car after the blow dryer, SERIOUSLY will not go to any other wash!!2 months agoIt’s my second time going in and I signed up for unlimited! It’s so quick and easy and my car looks fantastic! I looked hard for any scratches or swirly marks and I didn’t find any! I definitely recommend them.

The Ultimate Guide to Car Wash Clearances Across the US
The clearance of car washes can vary depending on the specific car wash. However, most car washes are designed to accommodate vehicles of standard height. The average clearance of a car wash is typically around 7 feet (2.1 meters) to 8 feet (2.4 meters). This clearance allows for the majority of cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks to safely pass through and be washed without any issues.
- Standard height vehicles: Most car washes are designed to accommodate vehicles of standard height, which includes sedans, hatchbacks, and smaller SUVs. These vehicles generally have a clearance of around 5 feet (1.5 meters) to 6 feet (1.8 meters).
- Higher clearance vehicles: Some car washes offer a higher clearance option for vehicles with taller rooflines or higher ground clearance. This is especially beneficial for larger SUVs, vans, or trucks. The extra clearance can range from around 8 feet (2.4 meters) to 9 feet (2.7 meters) or more.
- Low clearance vehicles: On the other hand, car washes may also have a lower clearance option for vehicles with lower ground clearance or low-profile sports cars. These car washes typically have a clearance of around 6 feet (1.8 meters) or less.
It’s important for drivers to note the clearance of the car wash they plan to use, especially if they have a vehicle with non-standard height. If the vehicle’s clearance is close to or exceeds the car wash’s clearance, it may be necessary to seek an alternative car wash or consider hand washing the vehicle to avoid any potential damage.

How much does it cost to wash your car in the USA?
Here are some factors that can affect the cost of car washes in the USA:
- Type of car wash: The type of car wash you choose will have a big impact on the cost. Automatic car washes are typically less expensive than touchless car washes, and full-service car washes are the most expensive.
- Location: The location of the car wash can also affect the cost. Car washes in urban areas are typically more expensive than car washes in rural areas.
- Size of the car: The size of your car will also affect the cost of the car wash. Larger cars will typically cost more to wash than smaller cars.
- Additional services: You may also choose to add additional services to your car wash, such as undercarriage cleaning, tire shine, or interior vacuuming. These additional services will typically cost extra.
Here is a table of some average car wash prices in the USA:
Type of car wash | Average price |
---|---|
Basic automatic car wash | $10 – $20 |
Touchless car wash | $15 – $30 |
Full-service car wash | $20 – $50 |
It is important to note that these are just average prices, and the actual cost of a car wash may vary depending on the factors listed above.
Here are some tips for saving money on car washes:
- Wash your car yourself: This is the most cost-effective way to clean your car.
- Look for coupons or discounts: Many car washes offer coupons or discounts, so be sure to check before you go.
- Wash your car during off-peak hours: Car washes are typically more expensive during peak hours, so try to wash your car during off-peak hours to save money.

Absolutely disgusted at the response I received via email to a damage report filed merely 11 days after signing up for their unlimited monthly promotion. On my third visit, my antenna was completely ripped out of my Infiniti QX4. Being a 2002, it was still in excellent condition, and the woman who responded to my claim via email was accusatory and claimed that this COULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. I wonder if there isn’t a dumpster on site filled with the many items that become violently dislodged from their customer’s vehicles on the daily. Reading other reviews, I am sure I must go in person to immediately end my membership before months or years pass without being able to reach someone by phone.
Sadly, I was a hopeful new customer just under month ago. In a mere three car washes you have completely destroyed any chance of my future business, and I am not a person who often leaves reviews, but this needed to be said.
No integrity and no value in their customer service response team. One kind thing I can say is that the young lady who signed us up and the other young lady who gave me the information needed to file a damage claim were very responsive and kind. Beyond that, no dice. Do yourselves a favor, ladies. Go work somewhere you will be appreciated and paid what you’re worth. Kevin’s ain’t gonna be able to get you there. 🎲🎲
*Edited post response: You would have a better chance at regaining my trust if you could ensure I regained my antenna. I noticed on so many other responses there is an email to reach out to for further communication to resolve the issue. This was lacking in the response you left here. Perhaps you could offer a legitimate solution, that would be a positive step in regaining said trust.
Kevin’s car wash did not do well today for me. Most of the cleaners were filled with water. No chemicals at all. I got a nice scuff on my fender when I washed it today then I have to try to get buffed out. This is the second time that this is happened that one of the car washes. I usually go to Omaha to get my car washes done but I like to travel and be able to wash it when I go to Kansas City to see my family. The air nozzles barely worked last time that I was there for blown up crevices. Today they had zero air at all and the air nozzles. Overall was pretty dismal experience compared to normal even from this location. Everybody seem to be ticked off at the world around there. None of the employees had very happy personality. If this was normal, I would not pay a monthly charge for this. Look at the pictures you can see I went around for a whole bunch of different stations and took pictures of the different bottles. You can definitely tell by the glass cleaner that is water down diluted really bad summer nearly pure white, I also noticed it in the all purpose cleaner and in the scented carpet spray. I went there two weeks ago to the same location and I honestly felt that it was below par for what I expect at all the other locations I go to a Russell Speeder’s. Today it was much worse than when I speak of the personalities I talk to two people walking by and didn’t even understand what they were saying because they’re mumbling and avoiding eye contact.
Went here on July 14, 2023, to have my car washed as usual. Ended up with getting my bumper pulled off. Went to file a complaint and a member hands me a business card and says I have to do it online. Go to file the complaint and get charged to fill out and send the form. Then on top of it is a third party the form gos through. In the end it’s going to cost me a thousand dollars to fix, and probably will never here from them. Will never use there services again and would not recommend it to anyone.
This afternoon I stopped at this car wash for the last time. I purchased the premium wash. After the wash was done I notice that the flare gaskets on my vehicle were damaged and missing. The manager approached me after the incident stating that I failed to read the sign stating that their car wash was not responsible for any damages and any vehicles 5 years or older. This was however only told to me after the vehicle was damaged. The staff failed to inform me of any liability that this could happen. My vehicle has clearly aftermarket parts. I stated on my arrival that this was the first time I have been to their car wash but they still failed to inform of the possibility of damages. I have never been through a car wash that has damaged my vehicle before, so as a normal customer of a service I did not this that I should be worried of the concern to my property. Kevin’s Car wash refused to watch CCTV Footage of the incident and review the clear damages as well as provide me a refund. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with service and hospitality. My family has been members with the wash for sometime and referred me to the location. I would not recommend anyone to this wash again. The manager failed to provide me with customer service information or even his name, which I later to found out to be Paris Powell. I left today with about $200 in damages and a dirty truck. Thank you Kevin’s Wash Kansas City!
