I’d been a monthly member with Go for years (Belfonte also) and would also visit Tidal Wave after I dropped the membership. So one day the car needed a wash and I decided to try Charlies. Not quite what I expected, actually lame and average at best. Very few items to actually wash the car, I was surprised to see such few pieces of equipment in the long tunnel. The ‘washing’ back and forth device had me concerned it was grinding in grit and debris from the dirty car as it swished back and forth. The blow dry was hit and miss so I turned the corner to see about self service drying area…well there are vacuums but they don’t offer towels. For the basic $10 (I think it was $10) you don’t get hardly anything. For your members, try Tidal Wave, the $10 wash is very comprehensive, includes tire shine, awesome dry and a self serve area with supplies. Sorry Charlie, your place is average at best on a good day and really no value. Now if it was a $6 basic wash I could understand. The outside still had stains on windows, interior spots hadn’t been vacuumed. I’m glad I checked, because the people for car ahead of me mentioned that their car trunk hadn’t been vacuumed. So I checked mine and sure enough there were a bunch of spots still uncleaned.
That’s why we paid the extra for a good detailed job, one I could never achieve on my own.They did attempt to redeem themselves when the gentleman took the time to make up for what the others forgot to clean, before I left. I appreciated that atleast. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating.
Very disappointed that I tried this branch rushed through the cars booked for interior cleaning. Lee’s Summit staff get it right. Drove away feeling like the total cost was definitely not justified if this is the quality of work we’re expected to accept.

They do usually miss some things but have made up for it and is little things usually like the sunroof was sprayed but not cleaned or forget to do cargo when paid for. Recently updated, used to be Otto car wash. Pretty well maintained, prices are average and get decent time for cost. Card readers worked to pay for the wash. The staff here is super friendly, Jackie and her friend were super sweet and courteous. I really like that the spray bug spray before you get into the car wash to help get the bugs off.
I meant a wonderful lady named Donna She was doing the cashier when I went through very pleasant had a wonderful smile on her face The young man that was working in the tunnel was very friendly very polite. I honestly have to admit I love this car wash it is one of the best top car washes out of Kansas City and Independence area. Ms.Jackie,Ms. Kat and Ms. Donna as well as the manager and the gentleman that are in the tunnel are the best employees of car wash could ever have, every time I come up they make me feel welcomed, I’m very happy with their service they are wonderful great people and I believe in my heart they honestly truly deserve a raise or a bonus for the hard work that they do and the best customer service that is provided. Also to the hateful customers that give these wonderful employees a hard time you guys ought to be ashamed of yourselves because at the end of the day these ladies and gentlemen are the best people I’ve ever met in my life and you should treat them with more kindness and respect because they do work hard for it.
