Was a member at this car wash when they first opened. They would be open for a week and then closed for a half a day to repair new equipment. Then open for 2 weeks and closed a day etc. Take 5 took over, found a foundation issue and replaced the guts of the place.
I took my daughters small car through to see if improvements have been made. I was not impressed. No prewash of the vehicle, many spots still left on the car above drivers window and the roof of her car. I understand the spots on the very back, but not the rest. Their tire shine is lackluster, completely missing 2 tires and only getting half of another (see pictures). What tireshine actually made it on the drivers side was splashed toward the door.
Their membership for 2 cars is $60 when we pay 50 at Custer and Virginia. There are no rags to wipe off overspray, the air compressor to blow out the vehicle was still broken from before they took over(north side 3 or 4 slots west of the trash cans).
This location is in the perfect spot for 95% of my travel, but I can’t spend good money for a lackluster job provided.
Hopefully they will fix some remaining and continued issues. I gave them three stars as it’s possible they could’ve done a better job on a vehicle larger than a Honda Civic.

I usually go to a different wash but figured I’d check out Parkway since it was on the way during my errands. The exterior looks great. However, I got a higher package for inside/outside and left disappointed. The back of my SUV hadn’t been vacuumed at all, the mats weren’t put back properly and blocked the gas pedal, and the cup holders and crevices all had dirty water left in them that I had to wipe out with my own cleaning rags.
I do want to say that it was a very hot day and I do believe the employees were all doing their best in this heat and I think they should be commended.

I pulled up and was asked if this was my first time. I said it was, and was then read off the different pricing on the screen in front of me. After electing to try their top wash for $25 I was asked to join their unlimited program. I wanted to give this round a try first before deciding if I’d be back, and that was a very good call.
I then pulled through their drive-through portion which was pretty standard. Then, that was it, for all purposes they had fulfilled their portion of the work. Two exit signs pointing me in either direction and no further instruction. Again, this is my first time so I don’t know what their system is. I decided to head over to their vacuum stations, thinking that may be where the next portion of my wash would be done. I looked around for someone in uniform and noticed the only people vacuuming or wiping down cars were the drivers themselves. First vacuum I pulled up to didn’t work.
At this point I thought well maybe their drive-through is just very efficient and effective. I chose the higher priced option for the ceramic coating, but mainly the tire clean and shine. Tires still muddy, and definitely not shiny.
I have been to washes not more than 20 minutes away that are $10 less and will actually give your vehicle a full wipe down, interior and exterior. My truck is passable, but I couldve spent $5 at the Valero drive-through down the street and been just as happy. I cleared out my interior to make a wipe down easier, but that never happened (my truck is my office so there was a lot to pull out temporarily). If I did something wrong and should’ve actually had a detailer come do additional work on the car, neither of the 2 people I encountered working the wash had anything to say knowing I have not been there before, and the “detailing office” was empty when I went to ask for help. If I had to say anything positive it would be how quickly I was out of there, since I expected to get a minimum 30 minutes of actually washing my vehicle. Closer to my house but does not deliver as advertised. I won’t be back.
I have had a membership at the McKinney location for about a year now, and have seen several different faces come and go. However, there is always one, outstanding, gentleman named Doug that has always gone above and beyond to make sure every single customer is very well taken care of. He is extremely patient, kind, helpful, and always has such a joyous smile to brighten your day!! He is by far the best and hardest worker I have seen at any “hands off” type of customer service establishment in a very long time! Doug even helps to coach some of the younger workers that seem to have some issues or questions to try and better themselves for success.
I hope y’all do everything you can to keep Doug here and happy all the time!!
I am a huge fan, and he is the reason why I continue to wash my truck here.

An employee came over and whipped down my car’s rims as I worked to clean the inside of my vehicle. The employees are always so kind and helpful. Grateful for the new system of towels and cleaners provided to customers to give our vehicles a little extra love. Thank you!
This is my first occasion with Take 5 car wash and I was very impressed from the helpful attendance to the facilities themselves. I had a gentleman named Umar help me who was very helpful and professional. There are two different powerful self-vacuum hoses with a station that has plenty of clean towels for window cleaning and other interior cleaning, I will definitely be back.
Update! Still love this place! Nick went above and beyond! Thanks for the new sticker, it’s been through a lot! 😉

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I travel weekly and love that I can go anytime to wash my car inside and out! Such a great price and they are located in Austin and Dallas so that’s awesome too! They also give you free air freshener, rags and cleaner to use!
