5 months agoThis place leaves water spots ALL OVER your car. I initially came here to use the dog wash, and you cannot use it without getting a car wash. So I figured thats no big deal, my car needs it. I paid extra for the deluxe wash. I brought everything I would need for the dog wash: shampoo, conditioner, towels, treats, and coins (in case they didn’t take card). Much to my surprise, they only take bills! So not only did I get a terrible car wash, I wasn’t able to wash my dog. I thought about running down the street to an ATM for some bills, but if I wanted to wash my dog I would have had to go through the carwash again (which didn’t clean my car) just to be able to use the dog wash. PASS.3 months agoDid a fairly good job, but didn’t get the bugs off my windshield or the front of my car. Not worth the money they are charging. Go down the street on Algonquin and get a MUCH BETTER WASH for $3 at the Shell gas station. Gets all the bugs off for $3.4 months agoI am not a fan of this car wash for one main reason most drive-thru car wash places now t realize that the back of cars do not get washed very good through their system, they spray the rear of the car with high-pressure water as the car is rolling through. This place does nothing and the car comes out very dirty after just being washed. This is just plain lazy on the owners part. People are paying good money for wash because they want a clean car. Wake up and start doing what your competitors are doing2 years agoNeed to wash your fuzzy? This location is clean, convenient, and easy to use. I felt safe bringing my dog to self wash and dry here. Staff is really nice. Zero contact interaction, which is great in these times. Highly recommend7 months agoPaid extra for undercarriage wash, didn’t even get the bottom of my car wet. Wish I could get a refund, also turn your roof top dryer blowers down a bit, they blast your sunroof open and don’t need to be so direct. Matt’s is better

2 months agoHad water spots on car . Would expect to have fiber towels to dry and windshield cleaner provided. Also would suggest some type of cover over drying area.a month agoI put money into 2 vacuums that didn’t work. Then again for the wipes vending machine, which was empty. Like $5 for nothing. Then I got charged $10 for the advertised $8 car wash. Waste of money & time.7 months agoPretty decent place. Prices are fair. However, i’m not sure if its user error but i’ve been in all the washing slots/sections whatever you want to call them and they all seem to not work in certain functions in their own way. One of them has a broken air blower machine, the other has a broken polishing brush, etc.a year agoOverall good place for a self-service car wash. The attendants on duty are friendly and professional.I have had a few situations where the vacuum was not working properly or experienced longer than the typical delays when switching settings on some of the self-service bay machines.
That said, I used a other vacuum and bay as a workaround and that worked. The hassle in doing this and because it has happened more than once why I did not give this a five star review.
Thank You Clean ‘N’ Shine Car Wash Team. Places like these are great and glad we have yours in our community!
7 months agoThe car wash worked as I thought it should. Till I got home and got a good look at my vehicle the bottom half of my car was unwashed and the rear was not touched. A wasted 8 bucks

1. Check online directories and review websites
Start by searching for car washes in McHenry on popular online directories such as Yelp, Google Maps, or Yellow Pages. These platforms allow you to see ratings and reviews from other customers, which can give you an idea of the quality of service provided by each car wash.
2. Ask for recommendations
Ask your friends, family, or colleagues who live in the area if they have any recommendations for a good car wash. Personal testimonials can often be very reliable and give you a sense of trust in a particular establishment.
3. Consider proximity
Take into account how close the car wash is to your location. Opting for a car wash that is conveniently located near you will save you time and transportation costs, making it a more practical choice.
4. Check for additional services
Consider what additional services you might need or want from a car wash. Some car washes offer detailing, interior cleaning, or even oil change services. If you’re looking for more than just a basic wash, make sure to choose a car wash that offers the desired services.
5. Visit the car wash in person

7. Consider pricing
Compare the prices of different car washes in your area. While you don’t want to compromise on quality, it’s essential to find a car wash that offers a reasonable price for the services provided. Some car washes may also offer loyalty programs or discounts.

Brought my Acadia in on one of the warmer January days. Requested the $35 ultimate wash. Having previously been a loyal Melges wash customer, I had high expectations. Aside from my floor mats, nothing else appears to have been touched on the interior. The photos speak for themselves. They were quick to charge me the fee for larger vehicle, just to clean it in less time than it would take to clean a 2 seat smart car. Will not be returning.
Came here on Friday 3/24 to have my car cleaned. Got the ultimate car wash which was 30 something dollars. This included vacuuming but did not include wiping down the interior. It was 40$ additional to wipe down the interior. I paid 76$ and my car basically went through an automatic car wash and they left my car looking worse than when I brought it in. Whatever they used leaves terrible residue on the interior of my car and for 76$ I expected much higher quality work. I won’t be coming back here and hope you take this as a warning
Note, offer not compatible with $25 service. Fast and very bad, vacuuming left a lot of dirt, the washing machine does not remove the dirt and the staff does not correct anything, stains, it’s better to go to the car wash for $ 10 and give the kids $ 15 for ice cream. The manager should go on a course on how to perform the service in accordance with the offer. I honestly do not recommend. First and last time I was there. Now I take the vacuum cleaner and clean again.
DON’T BRING YOUR CAR TO FAST EDDIE’S.

I have been to this car wash multiple times in the past and been ok with their work. Usually small things are missed and the experience is just fine, not stellar. This time, I paid $65 extra for an interior wash. Not only did they hardly dry the seats so that it took 3 days for them to dry, they also made a small tear in my driver’s seat back with the extractor. I called about it, came back the same day for photos and to leave a report. I was told a manager would call me. After 3 different attempts to call them I finally got “Joe” on the phone who claimed to be the owner. He refused to help me, through insurance or elsewhere. He refused to even acknowledge it COULD have been them, didn’t ask to see it himself, nothing. He told me “just go get it fixed” and offered a gift card in the amount it costs. I don’t want a gift card to return to a place where they won’t acknowledge making a mistake and damaging my vehicle! Also I only have the verbal word of someone who I could hardly track down, that he will even hold up his end of that agreement. I should not have to claim it on my insurance (another suggestion he made) when that is what his insurance is for.
I highly recommend you seek service elsewhere.
This ain’t it G. Let me tell you, skip this one. You’d think for $70 you’d had a pretty decent wash right? Nah, my wheels weren’t touched. Everything was streaky, especially the interior windshield. Barely touched anything inside so I got the dust knocked off but now I have streaks on everything. Come ooooooon dude really? For $10 I could do a better job in half the time at home. Be better. And don’t blame it on worker shortage or supply shortage cause that ain’t a thing. Probably won’t be coming back.
