I couldn’t go through the self-checkout because I was buying gift cards. The ONE cashier on duty had a long line of course, Lucky pulled me out of line and used a miniature device to get me checked out & on my way. She was friendly, kind & knew what she was doing! I was the lucky one. Target is lucky to have Lucky!2 months agoThe drive up experience of the store is phenomenal. Lately they have been out in under two minutes to get me my groceries the store is clean and well staffed, and they offer a large variety of products at a fairly reasonable price. If you shop the deals, you can absolutely spend as much money as any other retail chain. This location is the largest in the state and has lots to offer to the area.3 weeks agoI will be honest. I purposely will drive out of my way to go to this Target. They typically have the items I want, they have a surplus of things I didn’t think about, it’s easy to get in and get out AND unlike the other ones, the employees here are nice. They will answer questions and they acknowledge me when I’m leaving and when I come in.8 months agoDisappointed. The store is busy and only one cashier! When we asked if another could open we were told to use self checkout, with a packed cart! There are 5 employees standing around talking but no one checking people out! The cashier I did finally make it to was very kind and friendly.

One of my all time favorite stores of which I get rewards, use the app to order pickup or delivery items, or even just to check availability in stores. Unlike other supermarket type stores, Target has not let me down when the app shows that they have a specific product on hand. I do wish Target carried a wider selection of groceries but that is okay.7 months agoIt Is a nice clean store, but all the Targets in the Madison area seem to be low on all grocery stock all the time. I was shocked when I went into the State St. Store. My Rockford store (which I just visited recently to check again) is always well stocked. This place has officially moved into “suuuuuucks” territory. Shelves with items not priced. Swaths of target landscape with no employees. See the picture for miles of checkouts unmanned. You have to check yourself out bow while some teen with no spcial skills scrolls their fb feed. “Employee shortages,” my backside. Two other local stores I just visited seemed justly fine.
So is this corporate greed or do we have a super poor manager? Probably both, but given other targets are better, the buck gets passed to the manager.
Went to get some storage drawer bins could only get one in the cart couldn’t even get one under the cart. Nobody bothered to help me with these plastic bins. I tried to brace one on top of the other and they just kept falling on the floor. I asked the cashier people if they had a certain cart that I could use. The guy said all they had was a dolly didn’t really bother to help the lady work there didn’t bother to help me either. so I paid for them through the self check area and struggle to get them out to my vehicle but nobody bothering to stop and help that worked there. Then a young girl, coming out behind me who worked there she was off the clock, and offered to help me by carrying one of the big bins to my vehicle. Very disappointed in target and I do all my shopping there. Maybe I’ll just have to start shopping online or something very disappointed!!!!very disappointed and I am an old lady.
They don’t seem to have fully recovered from there remodeling last year. Store seems unorganized… clothes were all over floor, random stocking bins left around the store. The TJ Maxx went to recently seemed more orderly than the west side Target.
I want to love this store because it’s convenient for me but can’t and everytime find myself driving to Hilldale to shop! Your selves are always empty yet you have tons of staff stocking selves?! I don’t understand why when the website says it’s available and I come in it isn’t?
I have always found the staff at Madison West Target to be extremely kind and helpful. The store is well-organized and I love the variety of quality products at a great price.
