2 months agoAfter a trip over the mountains, the bugs on my car were plentiful. Andrew, Chrissy & crew hustled and paid extra attention to my front bumper and windshield in prep. Even re-washed the front to make sure all details were right. I can practically see my reflection in the paint. Thank you Tumwater Wave 🌊2 weeks agoThey are always smiling; friendly. I love how shiny my lil’ car gets. During the horrible high temps of summer, I purchase a monthly thingie: one wash every day of the month. Helps cool my car down + washes off the seagull guano. 😂 Super quick n’ easy to implement + deactivate. Treat yourself every summer. 😎5 months agoMy little mini had her first drive on the beach. She needed a good cleaning. The wave definitely took care of the issue. Staff very friendly.a month agoSimply the best car wash in town. Katy (Katie?) runs a tight ship and is just SO pleasant. An exceptional business Update, July 28. Katie was promoted and moved to another store. Since then, while competent and professional, i would say they are not truly exceptional… down to 4.5.2 years agoThe Wave in Tumwater does an excellent job. They pre-scrub your vehicle so it gets a great clean, and they are quick and efficient. There are vacuums available for customers (bring quarters) and they have an easy in-and-out parking lot. I take cash to pay because they do not have handheld devices to run a credit card at your car/window. They take cards inside the building to process. Great wash every time!

a week agoWorst car wash ever. Didn’t touch rear of vehicle. Had to rewash at home. Blowers stop working for last half of vehicle. No wonder no one waiting to get car washed. Do not use. Junk equipment2 months agoI have come here on two separate occasions, and I should have learned after the first time. The parking lot is always dirty and has resulted in me leaving with a nail in my tire 2X in the last month. Please be cautious and aware.a week agoThere brushes are out of order and there polyshell tripleshine is much weaker than I remember unless they changed the color.. just looks like not as good value as before.4 months agoThe self help car wash is open after hours. This was helpful to me as I needed to get my wife’s car washed before she went to work the next morning. The token machine was finicky but worked. The scrubbing brush was worn out and not super effective. There were a few other people at the car wash after hours but a few of them were fairly sketchy.a month agoSelf wash is garbage, next to no water pressure and the brushes are completely shot most of all the bristles are gone. The only bonus to this place is you just need $1 to start

Guidelines for a Secure Car Wash Experience
When it comes to car washing, safety should always be a top priority. Whether you are washing your car at home or at a professional car wash, following some general safety guidelines can help prevent accidents and ensure a smooth and enjoyable car wash experience.
Here are some important safety tips to keep in mind when washing your car:
- Choose a safe location: When washing your car, always choose a location that is flat, well-lit, and away from any potential hazards such as traffic or power lines.
- Use the right tools: To prevent scratching your car’s paint, use soft microfiber cloths or sponges specifically designed for car washing. Avoid using regular household brushes or harsh cleaning chemicals.
- Protect your hands: Wear gloves to protect your hands from any chemicals or sharp objects that may be present during the car washing process.
- Secure loose items: Before starting the car wash, remove any loose items from your car’s exterior or interior to prevent them from falling or getting damaged.
- Watch out for slippery surfaces: The car wash process can make surfaces wet and slippery. Be cautious when walking around the car and use non-slip shoes or boots to prevent accidents.
- Take breaks: Washing a car can be physically demanding, especially if you are doing it by hand. Take regular breaks to avoid fatigue and prevent any muscle strains or injuries.
- Protect yourself from the sun: If you are washing your car outdoors, make sure to apply sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Wear a hat and sunglasses for additional protection.
- Follow product instructions: When using car cleaning products, always read and follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer. Avoid using excessive amounts of chemicals or mixing different products unless recommended.
To summarize, car washing safety involves choosing a safe location, using the right tools, protecting your hands, securing loose items, watching out for slippery surfaces, taking breaks, protecting yourself from the sun, and following product instructions. By following these guidelines, you can ensure a safe and successful car washing experience.

Do not go here! The vacuums are not strong enough to clean your car. They barely pick up anything. The water in the automatic car wash – don’t ask me how – but the inside of my car smelled like rancid food going through it and it took the better half of a day to get the smell out of my vehicle. I wish I had never use their services…
I wish I had a refund I feel cheated. At the least the outside of my car is clean (enough) still patches of tree sap
Service is great, workers are kind and wonderful. The vacuum? I could get better suction with a straw, they don’t accept coin/cash, only card, and it doesn’t tell you how much you will be charged. It says $1, I assume per minute, used the vacuum for 4 minutes and was charged $10. The vending machine on site also doesn’t have any car cleaning supplies, only candy that has been in so long that it’s sun bleached. Come here for a car wash, it’s worth that much, and that’s it.
They really do a wonderful job at cleaning your car. They do a little window scrubbing before you enter the wash. The soup is a fun rainbow of colors. Very entertaining. It is a little expensive, around $15.00. But everything comes out clean. Fortunately, we receive free car washes from our dealership since we purchased a new vehicle. Hope you enjoy the video!
Went to this car wash today after getting a wash coupon from a dealership. Several things went wrong during this visit. The car wash stopped two times during the pass through — all lights, water, brushes and vehicles completely stopped. After going through, I pulled in to use the vacuums, and when getting out, was horrified about the finish on my black trim surrounding the windows on my vehicle that had completely lost ALL original shine. In trying to speak with an employee about this problem, I was told several things (in a very condescending, short-tempered and disrespectful tone): “I have worked at a car wash 5 years and have never seen this. I can guarantee it’s not from us.” And, “for the 18th time, just rub it and it will be fine”. And “see these water spots on your window? This damage must have already been there — there is no way it’s from us”. Finally, “if it was from us, the damage would be everywhere, not just on these parts of your car”. Well, the finish that was damaged is a different material than the body of the car, so of course the problem won’t impact the whole vehicle that way (plastic versus metal). In asking for the manager, I was told “I am the manager today”, by employee “Ricky”. Due to his total lack of customer service (no basic respectful communication), I asked if I could have the owner’s information — which I was told, “we don’t give that out, but feel free to search online. I can already tell you he will say the same thing I am”.
For the record, I typically hand wash my cars because I think car washes do nothing but scratch up your exterior. However, I have NEVER had an experience like this at any other car wash in this area (The Wave, Shur-Kleen, even gas station washes). I drive a 2023 KIA Sportage, so this also is not an “older car” issue such as sun damage or expected wear. In tears, I immediately drove to the dealership where I purchased this vehicle and they were just as appalled as me. Luckily, they are amazing at Hanson Motors and told me they would get it in and do whatever it takes to resolve the issue – a very obvious issue.
Aside from my horrified feelings seeing my vehicle in this condition, the most disappointing part was the way I was spoken to by Elephant Car Wash employees (plural, because a second man came out to unload on me too) and made me feel like I was a “Karen” or trying to just pin a problem on them — instead of having a reasonable conversation about a very clear problem. Let’s just say, I have never posted a Google review… this is my first ever — because that is how bad this situation was. If you read this novel of a review… I seriously suggest you take your business elsewhere. And throw those wash coupons away — NOT worth saving the $15 on a wash.
$11 standard car wash was a good value . One of the vacuums was out of order, so the wait time to vacuum after the wash was too long for me.
