    I would give zero stars if I could! Every time I come here I get so stressed out and annoyed because the workers ignore you if you need help, they’re always on their phones or chatting with their coworkers, the place is always a mess… And they don’t know how to stock correctly… I often find expired items on the shelves. I was waiting over 20 minutes for a worker to unlock the glass door to get me some shark vacmop pads that were 14 dollars… I continuously had to press the button for help and nobody cares to come to help. Then once someone finally came, she said I had to buy it right away even though I still had more shopping to do. I asked her if they could hold it up front for me until I’m ready to checkout and she said I have to go to register 4… There was a very long line at that register and that employee wasn’t even at that register so I decided not to even bother trying to figure it out so I left without getting it. They act like I was going to steal a 14 dollar box of shark vacmop pads… And then when we left they have to check our receipt of course and take forever looking at everything in our cart because they treat everyone as if they steal. I will avoid Walmart as much as possible from now on, especially at this location. This location is the worst… Even the parking lot sucks… People can’t drive right and cut you off in the parking lot constantly. I prefer Target because their employees treat people better, actually help you, and it’s overall a much better experience… Not to mention a cleaner and tidier store!

    I am a South Asian who frequently enjoys shopping at Walmart. One of the primary reasons I choose to shop there is because I can find everything I need conveniently under one roof. As an immigrant, Walmart provides me with a sense of safety and happiness due to the diverse community that shops there. I cherish the smiles and engaging conversations I often encounter during my visits. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Walmart left me feeling profoundly embarrassed and humiliated. I went to purchase some skincare products, only to find them locked up and sealed. I approached an employee for assistance, hoping to make an informed decision. However, the employee showed me one product at a time, exerting pressure on me to hurry up and make a choice without allowing me sufficient time to consider my options. Despite feeling rushed, I requested three Olay Complete SPF 30 lotions. Astonishingly, the employee took two from the shelf and abruptly snatched the one I had already picked up, adding to my humiliation. As if that was not enough, upon reaching the cosmetic section’s counter, the employee and another lady insisted that I pay immediately, treating me as though I might attempt to run away without paying for the products. I politely explained that I had other items to buy and intended to pay for everything after shopping. However, they disregarded my request and insisted that I pay on the spot, which I did. Feeling disheartened, I left Walmart without finishing the rest of my shopping list. Unfortunately, as I exited the store, two other employees approached me within a mere 30 seconds and requested to see my receipt. The repeated instances of scrutiny further deepened my humiliation and embarrassment. As an immigrant who has worked hard to earn respect and establish a sense of belonging within the community, I felt I had lost it all within a few minutes. The way the employees at Walmart treated me has profoundly impacted me. I have decided to no longer shop at Walmart and encouraged my friends and family to do the same. While I understand that theft and shoplifting are ongoing concerns for the store, there are more graceful and humble ways to address those issues. Disrespecting customers, being rude, and, most importantly, humiliating them is not the appropriate approach. If this trend of mistreatment continues, Walmart risks losing more customers like myself. The company should prioritize providing its employees with basic communication and engagement training. By doing so, Walmart can ensure that customers, regardless of their background, are treated with respect, kindness, and dignity, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment that benefits employees and shoppers.

    Store was overall really clean and organized, of course there was a lack of staff but with the way things are these days I appreciate any and all employees that were there. Many great new items and the kitchen and small appliance section which definitely save me money for the same items I planned on purchasing elsewhere. There were areas that were empty shelves but I believe that they are putting out the new season so I hope that everybody will just have some patience and appreciate the employees that are still working in our retail stores, thank you for being there.

    First and foremost: parking is ATROCIOUS!!! The way that the parking lot is setup/constructed is just awful and is dangerous. It gets really full and packed (which can be normal for a big box store), so you’d thiyghat they would’ve set it up in a way that makes it safer for pedestrians. I always end up parking in the back where there are more open spots so I feel safer about my car not getting hit and not having to worry as much about backing out of a spot and hitting a person or another vehicle. Now for the inside: it is a mess with tons of items being scattered all over the place and not properly placed where they’re supposed to be. I understand this has a lot to do with customers not putting things back when they change their mind, but they should have enough staff to help curtail this issue. I had a really difficult time finding a desk that was in stock because it wasn’t in the aisle that it was supposed to be in, and a other items claimed to be in stock but I couldn’t find them and the employees were clueless. Also, they didn’t have any handles nor any large sized bags to put oversized items in such as a big package of paper towels. It was pouring rain outside and my items all be and very wet. And it’s too dangerous to run to your car in that parking lot. Overall, it just was messy and the store itself was unclean compared to other Walmart locations I’ve been to. You’d be better off heading over to the nearest Target and spending a couple more bucks.

    Prices are great, as usual for Walmart, but in-store experience is HORRIBLE at this location. Many things are in locked cabinets. Pushing red button designed to bring help does nothing. If you happen to find an employee, they’ll tell you they don’t have a key. And it’s on you to find the person with the key… they refuse to assist! “I don’t have a radio” is what the person told me! Around the rooms to try on clothes you’ll often find employees deep in conversation with each other and not engaged in the obvious need to restock clothes all around them. As you approach to ask to be let in to a room you are treated as an annoyance for interrupting their social time. Employees here ignore or treat customers with contempt. And I didn’t even mention the parking lot, where you need keep your head on a swivel because there are various people hanging around outside doing who-knows-what. Head to any other retailer in the area for an interesting comparison experience.

    The reviews people give could help, but retailers have so many workers that are just not ready to be at work. Or, they can’t stand being at work. So, saying a Store is good or bad really depends on the people that work there. Too many of the workers I encounter at this Store, act like they can’t be bothered with you. The Money Center Workers specifically, need to get it together. You can’t have sleepy incompetent energy while working with peoples money. I had a check destroyed by a worker, making it unable to be read by the check reader. The Managers couldn’t help. They were also sleepy (literally yawning) which was disrespectful as if my complaint bored them. So sad. And why were the Managers together? It was so weird. The Customer Service Rep. at Returns said the Store Manger was on break, but was 50 feet from where we were. I do know what happened. People just don’t want to work, and the people that are working are not trained well, or are not interested in being there. Walmart needs to identify these people because shoppers are quietly going other places. These retailers don’t know what is happening because there are no reviews like this. This is the type of experience that makes people feel defeated. They will simply and quietly go somewhere else. Stores are not able to identify the problem. It starts with these lazy and incompetent Store Mangers. Then, it is how people feel when they are there. It sucks. I know NOT to go to the West Saint Paul Super Center again! Sad thing is, you go to the location in Vadnais Heights, and you have to say, “wait a minute.” Night and Day difference. The Store is cleaner, better stocked items, better customer service (This is why I was so unsatisfied with West Saint Paul). The difference in Stores is so great that I was wondering what is going on.

    it is invigorating trying to get ahold of anyone at this location for any help. i am missing multiple items from my curbside order and have been on hold 3 for 42 minutes…i just want my refund

    This Walmart is always a huge mess in multiple ways. Merchandise is always all over the place, in places it doesn’t belong and sometimes even broken or dirty but still on the shelves. There are always several carts overflowing with stuff at the service desk. The employees are completely unfriendly, unhelpful and aloof. They are often in the way, just standing there chatting, but don’t move aside when they see you coming through with a cart or looking for something. The layout of the store makes no sense. There also always seems to be some sort of conflict between customers whenever I go here, with people yelling at each other or the staff. Though I know that’s not necessarily the fault of the store, it makes the shopping experience really unpleasant. On another note, the oil change attendants stripped my oil plug and then wouldn’t take my car for oil changes after that. They claimed it wasn’t them that did it, but it had been the only place I was going for my oil changes because the price was so good. I guess you get what you pay for. I’m much happier with Valvoline, despite the higher price.

  1. Very very busy when we went. No carts in the entry way. No employees gathering the carts in the parking lot. Of there was I, didn’t see them. But I did see law enforcement with their own podium to watch who comes in and who leaves.
    So that was somewhat reassuring. I will say that didn’t stop me from getting the items I needed. I will most likely visit this Wal-Mart again…as a last resort of course.

  2. I had a fantastic experience while shopping at this store, as they offered a great selection of items. Below, I will outline the pros and cons of my experience:

    Pros:
    The store had a considerable number of staff members who were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
    They offered a wide variety of items at affordable prices.
    Cons:
    Insufficient staff was available at the registers. While waiting in line, one register informed me, “Bro, I am closed. Go to another line.” Only a few registers were open, with the majority being self-checkout stations. As a result, all the open registers had excessively long lines. It felt as if it were Black Friday, despite the absence of online sales. Considering this, I would suggest visiting a different location where you can check out more quickly.
    Overall, it was an interesting experience.

    One more point: I observed that a police car was stationed near important locations such as stores and banks. I believe this is done due to security concerns.?

  3. This morning I was shopping for hair products and donuts for my co workers. As I was leaving after checking out I was checked at the door for my receipt. People who were in front of me were able to leave without showing a receipt either. Everything was bagged and I didn’t have items that were out in the open. As the associate was checking my receipt, 8 other customers pass her and she did not stop them. So I asked her, “ why are you checking my receipt and not the people that just walked past?” She stated that she checks everyone that has belongings out of a bag. However, all of my items were bagged. People behind me were walking out with items that were far more valuable than my donuts and shampoo. I then asked for a manager and the manager (Hamada) completely disregarded how I felt by saying “Well she works here.” Upon asking other POC, they have also experienced being stopped at the door while others are able to walk away with items such as brooms, mops, and dust pans. At this moment I felt discriminated against and profiled as someone who steals. I work hard everyday just like everyone else and I should be treated with respect as I treat others with respect.

  4. Walmart is not my favorite store. However for this Walmart I am giving 5 stars because every time we go there to buy bait for fishing we get one with no problem. This time we got green worms. First time for me. Never saw green before.

  5. Umm, they had stuff. Prices were decent…and then I found smoked string cheese. They need to stock more of the store brand soda. Can’t afford the name brand stuff anymore.
