2 weeks agoThe deli department is terrible. Have to drive to Ralph’s to get my meat because the employees are incredibly rude here. Every time I go I feel like I’m being an inconvenience by asking for an order. Today I asked for thin slice and he gave me thick slice without showing me (everywhere else they do). I mentioned that it was too thick. He said ” Don’t worry, I’ll just throw this other stuff on the floor” I left without getting anything. There was another time that I asked for chicken and he ignored me several times and gave me turkey and then berated me when I said that’s not what I asked for. I actually had two separate customers come up to me and told me that they don’t know why he was behaving that way and that they had heard me multiple times ask. He really needs some training. He makes me so uncomfortable and I’ll just drive across town.On a positive note, I always have an awesome experience with the gentleman in the liquor aisle. He is always so sweet and knowledgeable.
a month agoI generally like this store for cleanliness, variety, and efficiency. But they never fix their second elevator. It stays blocked and shut down permanently. This is very inconvenient in a store that has underground parking because the employees tie up the one working elevator by bringing up carts. Also they don’t enforce pet laws and allow non-qualifying dogs to come into the store and sit in the grocery carts which is pretty gross. If not for those 2 things, I’d happily give 5 stars. Update: Now a few weeks later and the elevator is still not fixed. And they are still letting random non-service dogs in the store and in the shopping carts. Apparently they just don’t want to pay to fix the elevator? Hey, I know it’s expensive, but so are the groceries at this location.2 months agoIt a nice and clean grocery store but it is on a busy are and not as easy to access like the others. The staff was helpful but they didn’t understand at first that I wanted to pick up my online orders without a vehicle. I had never done pick up for online groceries so I had no idea and took an Uber so I had no vehicle. Other than that it is a fine storea month agoI don’t know how they have 5 stars. Place is not stocked and the few things they do have are usually expired. Saw green packs of hotdogs while I was there and brown red meats. Bought a pack of pepper jack sandwich cheese and when I got home and opened it the outside edges of the slices were all green. Definitely won’t be returning to this vons.3 months agoThis is a nice clean store with wide isles, but it is incredibly expensive. Many items are a dollar or two or three more than other similar grocery stores. I really got the feeling they were gouging in the post Covid inflationary era.The staff, however, is quite friendly. So really I think it’s a corporate issue I’m complaining about.
Many of their products are not price labeled, which also makes it difficult to find out what you’re paying until you get to check out. And their organic produce is extremely expensive compared to other retailers like Ralph’s.
I ended up paying $2.99 a pound for ordinary non-organic opal apples. I didn’t see the price on the display in the produce section and when I got to the checkout counter I couldn’t believe how much they were charging for conventional produce.

I rarely go to this Vons even though it is very close to home. And it is mainly because it is a smaller store and the selection on some items is limited. And there have been several times I have gone into the store that in addition to the selection being limited because of store size, the shelves are empty and have not been stocked.
There are two things though that I really do like with this particular store. The first is there sushi selection. The seafood is fresh and so very tasty. And the second is the floral department. They have many beautiful flowers and very lovely arrangements. I have bought flowers for clients here many times over the years.
Whenever I need some thing in a hurry and selection is not important, or I need flowers or I am craving sushi, this is where I come!
This is a solid grocery store. It’s got everything you need and has a decent sized parking lot. The downside is the lines take forever. They need to add more cashiers or self checkout lines. I recommend avoiding this place during busy shopping hours if you are in a hurry or buying alcohol. The food selections are good but they are sometimes lacking in meat and cheese departments. Overall great spot for your grocery and household needs.
The bakery has gone downhill. If you order a cake that isn’t already made, expect to be disappointed in the decorations. I once ordered a frozen themed cake and you could barely see the Elsa print that was on it.
This year, I requested pastel rainbow cupcakes with sprinkles for my daughter’s birthday, had a picture and everything. The colors of the icing are way off and they gave me the sprinkles (which don’t match) to put on myself.
With rainbows, unicorns and mermaids being a common birthday theme for little girls, they really should be nailing this.

Nice neighborhood Vons. It’s easy to get to and the cashier was very nice. I also had a wonderful experience with the pharmacist. I needed some help with the prescription and he was so nice and helped me get my prescription refilled without any issues.
