5 months agoI’m so grateful this place is open. Best car wash in McCalla and the surrounding area. I’ve tried others including Anthony’s and this has been the best one yet. Prices are great and they have supplies to use plus air and water. And how can I forget about the 5 star staff. Friendly, helpful and professional. I have both my cars on the unlimited pass. This Was Right After I left the Carwash..2 months agoUpdate: Owner responded and made it right. Thank you Car Wash Guys for standing behind your product._________________________________________________________ My wife recent visited your car wash which we love and have a 2 car membership. Up until this week we’ve had no issues with this place as the staff and facilities have been great. Earlier this week my wife went through the car wash and their equipment bent my back windshield wiper sticking straight up off the back of the car. My wife noticed it after leaving (about 10 min after) but drove right back and notified employee of what happened. He bent the blade back but it left some damage to the blade which I will probably have to replace.
My issue with the whole situation is – I called and left a vm that day when it happened. I just received a call back from the manager. His response was “If there was no incident report filed, there is nothing we can do and it didn’t happen”. We told your employee – He should have filed that incident report! It’s probably still on camera!
I then asked what about a discount off my membership or something to compensate for damages. He said, “yeah there’s no record of it happening so I won’t do that – wipers are cheap and easily replaceable so we don’t cover them”. I then asked to speak to the owner and all he would give me was an email and no name. He was super unprofessional and lacked any desire to truly help or salvage a customer relationship. I doubt the owner would see my email and would probably be deleted before he could read it. Maybe he’ll see this and make it right but my confidence in your car wash is gone and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
6 months agoProbably the best car wash I’ve been to! The exterior wash is powerful & truly cleans the exterior, even with the basic wash. The free vacuums after the wash are new & wonderful. The cleanest my interior can get. A huge bonus is a pressure washing area where you are able to pressure wash your plastic or rubber mats. Super helpful because these are always the most difficult to keep clean. The mat holders at each vacuum also makes vacuuming or cleaning the mats much easier. I highly recommend this car wash & I will be joining a monthly membership!3 months agoFirst time I have used The Car Wash Guys and I am so excited with the results! I have never had an drive thru service that did tire shine but this one does and it looks great! I am beyond happy with the service! Super friendly and courteous staff!

7 months agoThere was a wait to get into bays. But what do you expect when it’s the best temperature in weeks? I ended up using the automatic car wash option. I found it to be efficient. The gentleman that works there also scrubed my truck while using the washer. Everything worked like it should.3 months agoProbably one of the only car washes in the area that have all their bays and working order. From small minor detail cleaning that you do yourself or even the muddiest dirtiest vehicle they have heavy duty equipment that you can clean your own vehicle. Places kept clean and well lit.. just remember that the change machine will give you coins only to be used at the wash and no quarters. Powerful vacuums, always in working order.

Overall, great experience. But the lady working the parking lot stood out the most to me. She stopped what she was doing to unstop the vacuum at the stall I was parked in. Then, a few minutes later, she brings me 2 clean rags and cleaner for my windows. Just showing appreciation for someone who went above and beyond for me.
I was hoping Take 5 would be better than Goo Goo but it’s not. The man that originally built the Hueytown location kept it going and operating the way it should. The car wash does not operate on full capacity bc something is always broken. 3 tires get tire shine but my care has 4. A lot of times there is not enough soap on my car but at the same time there is always soap still covering the back part. Vacuums hardly work and employees like to block the members entrance even when it’s working. The manager Steve is a good guy he takes care of whatever it is the best he can but he can’t fix something if it’s broken witch is the case here. That car wash when it first opened was top notch and now not so much. I used a self serve car wash the other day and that’s probably what I’m going to do in the future. Sorry I don’t mean to be so negative but that is just how things are. I hope things get back the way they where before Goo Goo bought it.
This car wash does not clean your car, it rinses it off with a little wipe over. The locations are convenient but they no longer have scrubbers for the cars and you have to go through the car wash multiple times for a decent wash. Any bird or bug splatter will not be removed. You are better off paying 10 extra dollars and getting your car detailed.
Tire shine absolutely destroys the drivers side of my truck and hardly applies any to the passenger side. There should be an option to turn off the tire shine. I spend more time cleaning the tire shine off of the driver side of my truck than it would have taken me to clean it at home in the first place.
Three things have been discontinued that would make the car wash more convenient, the brush and soapy water to pre wash before entering the car wash, the containers of Windex, along with paper towels at the vacuuming station, and the air fresheners. All of which were great incentives.
