a week agoOne and done. Will never go back. Firstly, the cleaning quality of the wash is a 1 star. See my photos, front bumper and side mirrors still looked filthy even after 2 passes through the wash. The drive thru wash also failed to get sticky droppings off the entirety of the exterior. Worst of all the wheel guide is old school and much more narrow than more modern car wash facilities. As such it damaged my wheel. Customer service refused to provide a refund, thankfully my credit card company had my back.3 months agoStopped by to go through the car wash really quickly and the pictures are after he had me go through a second time. I’m getting really tired of subpar service absolutely everywhere, but this tops them all. I tried to get a refund, as my SIL has a pressure washer and I’d have rather not gotten more annoyed that they wasted more of my time. Anywho.. no refund, just a less dusty car. Not clean AT ALL.8 months agoI took my car through the wash and an all star manager noticed my car didn’t look as clean as it should. Before I had time to even complain she was reloading the towels and offered me another wash. I was shocked and very excited! Who does that anymore. I was hoping for a SD air freshener and he was out at the entrance to the wash, but he said he would get some for me and bring them to me and that’s exactly what he did! Saw some dirt squirrels getting high in the back, construction workers cleaning out their trucks, and a few nicer cars getting detailed.a year agoGreat car wash! I actually had to wait to get into a stall they were so busy. 100% worth the wait. All the settings on the wash are high powered. The foam brush had an insane amount of soap, which was awesome! Loved the fact that they had a clear coat setting along with the wax. My car is sparkling now. I prefer self car washes over the automated ones and this one is the best in North County. Definitely coming back4 years agoCame here just for the vacuum, both were broken and out of order. The place obviously doesn’t place much emphasis on maintenance, multiple vending machines taped over and the “menus” in the wash bays have items covered in paint.

Very quick, good price. When it’s busy, it would be nice if the employees would usher the cars drying and vacuuming to move on. A 5 Minute only sign is posted, and we have waited over 20 minutes to get a spot. 3 employees were standing in a group talking, but did nothing
I have a $30 membership at soapy Joe’s. I was taking my car to the Oceanside location which I loved. The San Marcos location unfortunately is very chaotic and not planned out as well as the one in Oceanside. Hence be my three stars. When I arrived at the vacuum area. There were no clean towels whatsoever I had to go retrieve them from an area on the other side of the lot. I went to soapy Joe’s again today in San Marcos . I do not care for this location they do not take care of their equipment properly. Broken vacuums. Or vacuums with no suction.This was the name of the game today
Hello, I want to express a deep gratitude for a young man that assisted me during my visit to your car wash. I was struggle with the payment maching since many times it doesnt work for me. Edwin was kind, friendly and approachable. He demonstrated good customer service skills while I explained the issues I continue to experience with the machine. He took his time to assist me in processing my debit card and did not rush me through the line. He demonstrated good eye contact, a friendly tone of voice, and as mentioned kindness and patience. I will definitely be returning to this particular car wash and recommending it to my friends and family. I hope that he is recognized for the positive environment that he creates for your customers because he definitely deserves it.

Did the mid range wash 6 times in a row, still had a lot of stuff on the car. Came off with water and a rag. Seems like there is no soak time in order to keep the cars moving fast. No clean towels were available. First vacuum was not working. If you buy the membership from Costco it’s not a bad wash, but it wasn’t worth full msrp.
Really disappointed lately with Soapy Joe’s San Marcos. Used to be great! Price has steadily increased, but trash cans are full, towels aren’t clean if you can even find them, ground is muddy, vacuums are weak if the hose isn’t missing completely! And now the roof has caved in! I’m taking my business elsewhere. 😕
