Great visit – we walked 25 minutes from market street to get here. Bought everything needed to move family member into their place. Caught a $15 Uber back – totally worth the trip! Prices in California did not differ too much to the East coast prices. We were pleasantly Surprised by this.

Great fresh produce, grocery staples and of course nice to haves as well! Super long lines for the self serve food court- try and purchase what you want to eat at the registers so that you don’t have to stand in line to order.

Clean, organize, friendly staffs. Pretty Costco in the city! Parking lot is huge here but no gas station at this location!

Pretty busy during peak hours, and the Costco store is huge. Food courts get really packed too. Staffs are great here. Family on weekends are nice.

costco generally is great – rotisserie chicken, $1.50 hotdogs, etc. This particular location has a super kind and understanding manager who helped my family find a place to park our cargo bike inside the garage when i emailed in to ask about it. thank you so much for helping make our family shopping experience more convenient!

tip for other cargo bike shoppers: park on the no parking zone section of the bike rack so that longer bikes don’t block cars, The rack is on the ground floor next to the long pedestrian ramp.

One of the customers hit me in the ankle with this cart not being polite I told the guy to be careful and the guy at the front door told me to calm down not looking out for me shopping. I’ll stop somewhere else with my hard-earned money. This guy is not a good worker.

I like going to Costco because it’s convenient and I can bulk buy the things I need for home. I only shop at Costco maybe 4-6 times out of the year but for some reason when I came to this one on Thursday Sept. 14, the lady at the exit was checking around my shopping cart like I didn’t just wait in line for the cashier and her assistant to simply ring out my items. I spent almost $460 on everything. I felt a little discriminated against because she didn’t do that to others that were in front of me. Besides that, this location is better than the one on Davis St. and parking is better and the line for gas is way better. The lines aren’t as long either.

This Cosco is not my go-to Costco. It’s in Hayward and it’s pretty busy. But it had a few things that my local Cosco doesn’t have in store. Like the upright freezer. I loved it as soon as I saw it, and the price. Can’t beat that. Sometimes you have to go to other cities Cosco to find great stuff for cheap. I sure didn’t mind the drive😁

I went early Saturday morning. They opened sooner than the closer one. I was able to quickly get a membership card and then drove immediately to the fuel center to fill up on inexpensive gas. There was no wait at all for a gas pump. I didn’t get a chance to look inside the store, but I’m basing my review off my experience. The customer service folks really did their best make sure my membership got processed and didn’t go overboard in trying to sell a more deluxe membership. They saw I was new in town and worked with the documents and photos I had on my phone to get me approved. Friendly folks, too. They treated the 2 people ahead of me very respectfully and kindly, too.

I LOVE shopping here! Who of you doesn’t like free food samples!? Because I do and I’m just glad that I bring my bicycle here because this ALSO one of those places where traffic is a HUGE NIGHTMARE specially 2 weeks before Christmas time! You DO NOT want to

be here in that season time frame that I’ve mentioned because you’re gonna ABSOLUTELY HATE this place just looking for a parking spot! From the front all the way to the farthest areas of this shopping place!? GOOD LUCK finding ANY open parking spot

on Christmas Time is all I can say to you and you’re a much Braver Soul than I am! My house is approximately exactly ONE MILE away from this place and the AC Transit bus #97 stops directly here so bring your folding cart and just take the AC Transit bus instead of taking your car.

Costco in Alameda CA: Do’s and Don’ts Every Shopper Should Know

Shopping at Costco can be an overwhelming experience due to the large size of the store and the multitude of options available. However, there are certain rules and guidelines that can help make your shopping trip more efficient and enjoyable. Here are some dos and don’ts while shopping at Costco:

  • DO bring your membership card: A Costco membership is required to shop at the store, so make sure to have your card with you before entering.
  • DO make a list: With the wide range of products available, it can be easy to get distracted and overspend. Creating a list before your trip can help you stay focused and avoid buying unnecessary items.
  • DO buy in bulk: One of the main advantages of shopping at Costco is the opportunity to save money by buying in larger quantities. Take advantage of this by purchasing staple items that you use frequently.
  • DO compare prices: While Costco often offers great deals, it’s always a good idea to compare prices with other stores to ensure you are getting the best value for your money.
  • DO take advantage of samples: Costco is known for its generous sample policy. Feel free to try different products before committing to a purchase.
  • DON’T go on weekends: Weekends tend to be the busiest times at Costco, resulting in long lines and crowded aisles. If possible, try to shop during the week to avoid the crowds.
  • DON’T buy perishables in large quantities: While buying in bulk is usually a good idea, be mindful of the perishable items you are purchasing. Make sure you can consume them before they expire or consider freezing them for later use.
  • DON’T forget to check for additional discounts: In addition to the already low prices, Costco often offers additional discounts on certain items. Check for coupons or promotions that can save you even more money.
  • DON’T neglect the Costco food court: The Costco food court offers affordable and tasty options for a quick meal or snack. Don’t forget to try their famous hot dogs and pizza.
  • DON’T get overwhelmed: With the vast array of products and the warehouse-like setting, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Take your time, stay organized, and remember to enjoy the shopping experience.

  1. This location is Always Busy. The staff are still very helpful and friendly, up to assisting when looking for weird food. And the hot dogs are top notch! I just wish they had sauerkraut back for garnish.

  2. Lots of parking. I usually park in the rear to avoid all of the congestion. Pleasant atmosphere and they usually have well-stocked shelves. I like the option of self-check out and of course the $1.50 hot dog & drink combo! /

  3. You wouldn’t normally come here unless you are a member. It is separated from the other stores, but for good reason. For most families, it is more convenient to shop in bulk and get gas here. It is ‘me’, I am families. Also, families like to stop by for pizza and chicken bakes.

  4. Extremely busy, barely any room to walk through store first thing in the morning and pallets left in the floors made it even more difficult. Terrible for anyone with any type of mobility issues.
