Paul was so VERY helpful when I visited the store. My brother needed me to sign something to settle our mother’s estate, but I had to be at UCSF to take my husband in for surgery. It was an easy walk to the store, Paul was able to receive the document, print it,and send it back right away. Thanks Paul!!

Paul was so very helpful as I was trying to print out something that I wanted framed. He took the time to figure out what I needed and how he could resize the document properly. My dog Jesse loves him too!

My uncle passed away and we had to ship his large scale paintings back to our homes. Adiva and Paul were nothing less than joy and light and treated us with such care. They took their time with us and were super sympathetic as they helped us price out shipping and packing that would normally be an arm and a leg. We found out AAA discounts could work here which another store didn’t even let us know about. This store was clean and organized and they were so quick and efficient. They serviced many other clients while helping us with this big order and made us feel so valued. We will ONLY come to this UPS if we ever visit again. Especially after how we were treated at the terrible one on 60 29th street. Come to the one on 4th! They know how to treat customers! We love you guys! ❤🙏🏼

Overall pretty efficient UPS store with full service capabilities including notary (possibly not present everyday). Parking is sometimes tough to find and the store does get crowded near closing time.

  1. Like many others, I recycle my Amazon boxes and use them to send packages to family/friends. Since I’m not a UPS person or someone in the transportation or logistics industry, I have no idea there are marks on the boxes indicating certain ‘hazards’ or dangers.

I went to this UPS store this evening to ship something and was told by one of their staff that I “cannot use the box”. The person finally was able to articulate that my box has the “perfume” indicator and cannot be used. I assured the person there is no perfume in my box and I was only using the Amazon box. I even opened the box to show the content because I did not feel the person believed me since he was going on and on about perfume in the box… Following that, the person then pointed to these marks “ALL OVER the box” that indicated there was some hazard signs. Great. So I told the staff my goal was to ship out the package and I was happy to buy a box from the store.

You would think a BUSINESS like UPS Store would think creatively and positively and try to solve a problem rather than CONTRIBUTE to it, and make things worse. No, they did not offer me a box to purchase. Instead, another person in the store who I assume to be the owner of the store then also talked to me in a negative way, “I’m not sure what you don’t understand… “.

The whole situation could have been turned into a win-win for both parties if I wasn’t made to feel I was causing them trouble or bringing them danger instead of helping them make money by buying a box and shipping out my packages (yes, more than 1). I don’t see how this is not a store that sucked. When I finally decided I wasn’t going to let them have my business given what had transpired so far, I told them their store suck, out of exasperation at what I was being put through. The first staff then retaliated by saying that I suck too.

    So much for great service.

  2. I required the services of a notary and reached out to the UPS store located at 182 Howard. To my delight, a warm and welcoming voice answered my call, inviting me to drop by. Upon arrival, Samir greeted me and efficiently tended to my needs with exceptional professionalism and amiability. I am grateful for his exceptional service and for valuing my business, even though it was a minor transaction.

  3. This used to be my go-to store for shipping, notary, printing, and etc. But recently it seems that they’ve hired a group of inexperienced staff members. The communication was horrific. Go the FedEx 5 min walking distance away by the SalesForce Transit Center instead. The staff there are smarter, friendlier, and much more professional!!
The staff changed quote to ship my irregular package 4 times from $50+ to $230?!! And the staff, who were clueless on which package to use and the rates moments, tried to “give me a lecture” on why I needed to pay a more expensive box once I told them the value of the items. The items actually originally came from overseas and landed with 0 damage in much smaller packaging and cost MUCH LESS than the $230 they tried to charge. Such a huge waste of time trying to talk to the staff. I ended up going to the FedEx close by and saved so much money on the shipping!!

  4. Excellent reliability. There’s occasionally been a wait but in my mind easily made up for in quality of service.

  5. I came to drop off some Amazon items and the door was wide open and no one was at the store working. I waited and the bold short man who works there showed up with a cup of coffee 30 min later. He left the store unattended with valuables inside! He claimed to be the manager or according to some reviews here even the owner.

In the past a very expensive item was lost when I dropped it off at this location.

Also I have experienced hostility from other workers there in addition to this extremely rude man.

    Not coming back there!

There’s another UPS store only 5 min walk away with a great customer service experience.
