  1. Seriously, this Din Tai Fung has lower than its par of the food quality throughout North America. However, the service is exceptionally good. You know when you have a long day, and your waitress totally understands you, and gives you a little of of extras, and stretch a bit more, and complete you night?

The skin of the dumpling is thick and dry on top of each of the dumplings. This needs to be improved. Otherwise, the rest is just normal, no surprise.

Well, it is what it is. For sure I will be back, and see how it will go.

  2. This was our first time here, from the Midwest. We loved it. We had the chicken and pork dumplings which you take a small bite into, drink the soup/broth and then eat the dumpling, was light and a delicious bite. The fried rice both the chicken and the pork (pork is like a pork chop placed on top see photo) was really good! We have the infused cucumbers as well not pictured and the garlic green beans which were amazing. The pear martini pictured definitely was strong but a good balance, definitely a little punch in your mouth.

The overall experience was great. Family style experience and the staff were super friendly.

Make reservations for this place ahead of time. Family friendly and fast service.

For roughly 6 adults we easily spent 400 between drinks and food!

  3. The food is good but the line is very long. We had to wait like 1 hour to get in. It is decent but not really crazy good to wait that long. They definitely do a good marketing here. The dumplings are juicy with thin wrap. The beef noodle soup is thick and hearty. The milk tea is ok too.

  4. They’re well known for the dumplings, and although the portions were a little small they didn’t disappoint in terms of everything else from flavor to texture. We ordered fried rice as well, and unfortunately the fried rice dishes leave a bit to be wanted. They seemed sort of bland and there was only the soy sauce and chili oil to season it with. Overall still a pretty good experience where I would come again with friends.

  5. Excellent food and the service is incredible. The restaurant is quite big, which is great since they can get busy fast. They do check for allergies and restrictions at the beginning. If you’re not sure how much you can eat, you’ll still have a chance to order more later so don’t feel rushed to put everything on the paper at first!

Everything is very good, but for dessert I definitely recommend the chocolate xiao long bao. It’s rich but very tasty.

The atmosphere is very nice and for such a busy restaurant it’s easy to hear, and doesn’t feel too crowded. Consider making a reservation if you’re wanting to go – wait times can get long.
