2 months agoVacuumed, Washed, and Armoralld The beautiful Paula Walls this evening! This has been the best and longest running car wash in noke co. I remember coming here with my grandpa when i was little. Pretty awesome that it’s still up and going. Not to mention the owner is such a sweet man, always wanting to make sure everything is good and your experience was a good one. Went to grab a nice cold Slurpee afterwards and well I couldn’t not capture the beautiful sunset. I do recommend taken cash, quarters, or carwash tokens, you know the ones you end up hording for ages, just waiting to remember and use them! 😂😂😂 Using a Debit card is a lot pricier. Just fyi 😁2 months agoCoin operated self serve car washes are unfortunately a dying breed. This car wash is VERY well maintained, and while it’s a *coin OP, ” the bays do take credit cards. You get a good value for your money, and you don’t have to worry about whether or not they’re open in the middle of the night like these new style drive thru car washes with attendants.I’ve only ever had one issue here, and that was my own fault for not checking things out before I swiped my card. The last bay was missing the wand on the pressure washer, and I had already paid the $6 for my time with no way of ending it. Not a big deal, but unfortunately I don’t think there’s a way to end your transaction before it runs out of time–so I babysat it to make sure someone didn’t come along and run up the time on my credit card. You just hit the button to add more time onto the card. I’d like to see a way to end a transaction to prevent that, but not a big deal.
Anyhow, I see someone here servicing and maintaining this location every single morning when I drive by. I’m thankful that it’s so well taken care of and so close by for me. I know it probably hurts business having all these other car washes popping up in the area.

Didn’t even get my truck bed rinsed off.

Even helped clean bugs off my car when I was pumping gas!!3 months agoMy wife brought her Tahoe in, paid extra to have interior done, including seats, cupholders, etc. They did none of that. Wife came home very upset. So I called them. Was great communication with manager. We went back 2 days later, lady behind counter knew nothing about it, and she said none of the managers were there at that point. We even had our reciept and names of both managers. So obviously I talked to someone to get their names. Have had issues in past about how the clean the car, and the did fix the issues. When you pay $70-$90 to get your vehicles cleaned, you expect a lot more then a standard car wash.4 months agoConsistently poor attention to details. Lots of missed surfaces, windows were spotty on the outside as well as water spots on the car all around. Services were provided for the ultimate car wash subscription, and multiple times with different workers same issues. Check their options out before you arrive because they get cars through the line too fast for you to study at the front of the line!3 years agoI have taken all my cars and family cars for the past 15 years to this place and never saw anything comparable for an autowash and after service. Even the bare minimum interior/exterior is still a deal compared to grabbing some coins or even hand washing.

Absolutely agree with the opinion that the management cares NOT about your satisfaction.
First time at the car wash like this one, confusing.
In the end: car covered with a bunch of purple soap. No sign telling you the was is over.
Other customers noticed the soap on my car, told me to tell the staff, said they’d let me go thru it again. They didn’t.
The manager accused me of “almost hitting someone in the end”. Last time I checked, it’s HARD to almost hit someone WHEN CAR IS IN PARK.
Came there bc I had a Groupon, ended up paying full price.
A $9 wash at Car Lovers is way better. Ended up going back there right after Zips.

Quality of service has really gone down at this location lately. Low effort spray at the start, wet towels to clean windows and vacuums are 50/50 stopped up and useless.

Very rarely closed during business hours, so I can get my money’s worth for the monthly membership. Usually do a good job with the pre-wash spray as well.
It seems like each Zips location is a little bit different, as far as the actual cleaning machinery. But the kids like this one best because of the colorful lights as we go thru.
I’ve had a membership since they opened. They always do a good job. The vacuums work well and it’s a good value. They often are out spraying down your car before you even enter the car wash. If the reader doesn’t pick up your membership decal they are usually very quick about fixing the problem.
Rachel is by far the best representative you have at the Main St. Salem location. This review is more about her great attitude and the great job she does. She is fast, very helpful, and always appears eager to do the best job possible. Your company needs a bunch more just like her. Your profits would double. Can’t say many positive things about the other shifts or employees. They appear to be a highly unmotivated group and should probably be under supervision when on the clock. jmo
I like a car wash that washes off both sides of the car before you go in with the pre-treatment. This car wash does only one side prewash. I’m doing a test run of the $40 a month service and it’s pretty inferior compared to the motor mile car wash in Christiansburg. There are still plenty of bugs and bird poop left after two everything washes. The vacuum cleaner is awesome though.
