a month agoI had a severe food allergy and was taken by ambulance to Scripps Mercy Emergency Room. On the ride to the hospital I had to get two more doses of Epinephrine, in addition to the EpiPen given to me at work. Upon arrival two nurses told the paramedics the number of the room assigned to me and then started asking questions and explained what they were doing. The entire staff was amazing. I have to call out my RN Nurse Laura H. She has the best beside manners and made me feel like she sincerely cared about what had happened to me and just made me fell comfortable. Thank you to the ER staff at Scripps Mercy Hospital, and a HUGE thank you to Laura H. Under the not so great circumstances, I truly enjoyed the experience during my first visit to this emergency room.a month agoAgain Scripps were amazing to my father as he got an operation recently. Every single staff member that we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. Particularly the nurses and doctors in the labor / delivery and family birth unit
We had some anxiety about having to do a planned c -section for our first child , but all those anxieties were washed away by the wonderful staff and physicians here at Mercy hospital .

2 months agoAbsolutely phenomenal delivery experience here for our baby.They are a mid-sized hospital and I happened to be there on a slow day so during my stay I was my nurses’ only patient the majority of the time. I loved the amount of time, support and personal care I was able to receive because of that. My nurses were capable, knowledgeable and had lots of supportive suggestions for my natural delivery.
The maternity ward had a wide range of staff to make sure mom and baby are healthy and well before going home – nurses, pediatricians, lactation specialists were all in and out of my room frequently. Even a complimentary newborn photographer (you pay for the photos you want but the session itself is free).
Because the low intake that day I had a postpartum room to myself which gave my partner an actual bed to sleep in which was great. The only thing we did not love about our experience was the reclining chairs for partners in the labor and delivery unit. In theory you can lie flat and sleep in them but that does not mean it’s a comfortable rest so my sweetheart started off the whole delivery experience with a rough night of sleep!
2 months agoI accidentally chopped my finger off working on a Motorcycle chain and drove to this Hospital where I was then place on The 7th Floor, Room 10, Bed 1. Throughout my three day visit, I had a positive experience. My RN Jefferson F and CNA Daniel were very attentive, providing, positive and easy going with me which helped my three day visit feel like a couple hours. I hope not to end up in the hospital again but if I do, I’d hope I’d be surrounded with nurses like them who make you feel present.
