Corporate needs to take a look at how this stores in the area are staffed and laid out.

It’s Saturday April 15 at 4:45pm. They have this store set up so ONLY 3 GIANT lines that stretch almost to the back of the store are available to get into for checkout.

Customers trying to shop in the cross aisles are blocked from crossing and people have to try to move/ move their cars and there’s staff screaming at the self service checkouts to tell people when a self service lane is Available,

This has been the norm at locations lately. The self service lanes have taken away from full and QUALITY customer service Costco used to be known for.

This looks like Wal Mart planning and customer service.. not Costco. Do better.

Unpleasant experience with a worker in the liquor store. I had some questions about an email Costco sent regarding refunds on their vodka that apparently had a number of customers complain about the taste so Costco issued an email with return instructions. I asked about this and the woman literally asked, “well did it taste bad”? “How much did you drink”? Going on to say I probably shouldn’t return it at all. All these unnecessary questions and on the end made me feel like the bad guy for having a question about it. It was so weird and I’ve never experienced this type of service from a Costco employee until this interaction.

My initial impression of the store was not high, as the parking lot feels incredibly cramped, with many awkward angles to negotiate. The store itself was pretty normal Costco fare, with bathroom located down a corridor at the front and other departments spaced out around the store. As with other Minnesota locations, the alcohol is sold from a separate space within the same building. The lines moved fast, with self-checkout expedited by the presence of a friendly cashier who scanned our larger items.

Horrible place ! Always profiling at the front on who they check membership card. SAMS way better! Costco is overrated and use discriminative practices to ask for membership cards. If you’re a minority vote with your pocket book and take your money somewhere else where you’re not treated as a suspect the moment you walk in

Another great Costco. Parking can be an adventure on weekends but the store was clean, well stocked and had a friendly staff.

This is a great Costco outlet with a huge variety of options to buy from. They have almost everything you need for a household. The prices are the best! you cannot find things cheaper than Costco. The only catch is to stay focused and not get too lost! Most people come to buy something and end up buying a lot more stuffs. Also, its a bulk buying wholesale store, so prepare yourself accordingly. Overall one of the best places for shopping of Household products!

Fairly busy location no matter what time you decide to shop. Dedicated staff, me being a first time member, the process is clunky. The website gives instruction on how to obtain your member card but the experience is different when you arrive. Overall, you can find magnificent deals and items here. The product that is on the shelves are mighty, I learned that if they don’t have an item, they just don’t have it. Customer culture is fast paced, when you’re in the connecting aisles, move fast and get to the isolated aisles so you can browse at your own pace. Spacious, you’ll have room to move around but the amount of people that are shopping along side you can make it feel tight. I will return and see if I experience something else.

Conveniently located within Eden Prairie business district. I usually take the opportunity to shop at Asia Mall and here at the same time. You want to avoid putting gas here during the weekends. The queues are insanely long even at closing time.

Catherine and chuck were one of the worst employees i have ever seen in my whole life rude as hell and will never come back here or bring my business here ever again due to their horrible experience they gave me. I would not want them working at my store. So ignorant and completely ignored me when i asked a question three times. Let me add – Catherine looked directly at my pride sticker and rolled her eyes and made me completely uncomfortable. It’s super sad how they treat their loyal customers especially ones paying for membership here. Horrible employees HORRIBLE. I I was unsure. How do use self check out and didn’t put all my items on the waiting place and she came over and asked me if I was a new here because everyone knows to put them on the one weighing place. It was busy and hectic. My mind was all over the place sorry Catherine that I miss placed them and put them back in my cart. She was rude to everybody around me and definitely did not give a good customer experience whatsoever I am in disbelief that Costco would hire somebody so rude, and so ignorant to their customers. Never, will I ever come back here and spend my money on someplace that hires people that

Costco in Bloomington MN: Do’s and Don’ts Every Shopper Should Know

Shopping at Costco can be an exciting experience, with its wide range of products and attractive prices. However, there are a few rules to keep in mind to ensure a smooth and enjoyable shopping trip. Here are some important do’s and don’ts to follow while shopping at Costco:

  • Do: Bring your membership card – As a membership-based store, you will need to present your membership card at the entrance for access to the store and to make purchases.
  • Do: Plan your visit – Costco can be quite busy, especially on weekends. To avoid long lines and crowded aisles, consider visiting during off-peak hours.
  • Do: Take advantage of samples – Costco is known for its generous offering of samples. Don’t be shy to try new products and take advantage of the opportunity to taste before you buy.
  • Do: Compare prices and quality – While Costco offers great deals, it’s always a good idea to compare prices and quality with other retailers to make sure you are getting the best value.
  • Do: Stock up on non-perishable items – Costco is a great place to buy bulk items such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and pantry staples. Take advantage of the savings by stocking up on these non-perishable items.
  • Don’t: Overbuy perishable items – While it may be tempting to buy large quantities of fresh produce or dairy products, remember to consider their expiration dates. Only purchase what you can consume before they spoil.
  • Don’t: Forget your own bags – Unlike some other stores, Costco does not provide free bags for your purchases. Remember to bring your own reusable bags or be prepared to pay for plastic bags.
  • Don’t: Shop on an empty stomach – Costco’s food court and snack samples can be hard to resist, but try not to go shopping on an empty stomach. Having a meal or a snack before visiting the store can help you make more rational purchasing decisions.
  • Don’t: Ignore the return policy – Costco has a generous return policy, allowing returns on most items within a certain timeframe. Be aware of the return policy and keep your receipts in case you need to make a return or exchange.
  • Don’t: Rush through the store – Costco is known for its labyrinthine aisles and numerous product options. Take your time to explore and browse through the different sections to make sure you find the best products for your needs.

Following these do’s and don’ts while shopping at Costco can enhance your experience and help you make the most of your membership. Happy shopping!

  1. My visit here was quite amusing. I stopped in to use the ATM, but it didn’t have the function I needed. It seems to always be a traffic jam inside and out of the building. No matter what location, that’s the culture of Costco. I don’t deem it a negative thing, nature of the beast type of thing. I also went to purchase a basketball and football. They didn’t have it, something to keep in mind when considering Costco. They can have basketball hoops and hockey nets but may not have small items like baseball, depends on the demand. I enjoy Costco because they thoughtfully plan their locations to accommodate a mass group of people. Large parking lots, huge doors, and plenty of product. Another thing I’d like to point out is that the signage is gigantic! You can see the department you’re looking for across the store. Staff were friendly. Helped me on multiple occasions. I like this location and will be back to see if I have a difference experience.

  2. This Costco (St. Louis Park, MN)…like the others…is often busy. The parking lot at this location isn’t very user friendly…it has a weird right turn at the main entrance that bottlenecks traffic…you’re better off going straight or left…unless there isn’t that much traffic when you arrive. Other than the parking lot and the gas station being a ways off…meaning two different 4-way stops away from the store (which can back up traffic as well)…the store itself is usually clean with most of the staff being friendly (we’ve had a few staff be over-the-top…not in a good way…meaning they must have been having a bad day and were rude right off the bat). Other than a few incidents (which frankly what place doesn’t have those)…this Costco is usually well stocked and has the typical popular brands most people shopping there look for. If this Costco is close to your area, it’s definitely a good one to go to.

Costco has a lot of summertime sales starting now. Detergents, shampoos, conditioners, as well as other summer and beach type items.

  3. I am compelled to write this review following a recent visit to Costco, where I was left immensely impressed by the extraordinary customer service on display.
My recent experience at this particular Costco, however, surpassed all expectations.
We arrived a little late, and by the time we reached the checkout, it was already 9 PM – a full half an hour after the store’s usual closing time. Despite this, we were not rushed or hurried, but rather met with an unruffled and patient attitude from the staff.
Following our checkout, we decided to get some food, and what was truly astonishing was the grace with which the staff handled this. They graciously permitted us to dine in, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace, despite the fact that it was significantly past their scheduled closing time. There was a complete absence of impatience or frustration from the staff members. Instead, we were treated with understanding, kindness, and a warm smile, which significantly added to our enjoyment of the evening.
This extraordinary experience is a testament to Costco’s dedication to customer satisfaction. It wasn’t just about staying open late or letting us eat in peace; it was the genuine kindness and patience exhibited by the staff that left a deep impression.
On top of this excellent service, the store also boasts some fantastic deals. The wide range of products and their unbeatable prices is another factor that contributes to the unique shopping experience at Costco. It’s not just the savings on offer, but the quality of the products available that make shopping here such a pleasure.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff at this Costco! You embody the spirit of exceptional customer service.

  4. Great selection, great prices, great service. They always adjust the cashier lines when they get busy so check out is always fast. Fun to have a cheap meal combined with shopping. Always need, clean and well organized. Of course, I always take advantage of their best deal in the world, the roasted chickens!

  5. I had to sign a form to tell them one of my hearing aids was lost & one has gone the washing machine & it found it in the dryer. They were better in person than they were on the phone. But, so was I probably. It was quite crowded on a Thursday mid to late afternoon. It was clean. I bought some beautiful deep pink gladiolus which brightened my day. Generally speaking, I don’t like going to Costco. They never have anything I want and they have far too much of everything else.
