Don’t take too long at self checkout, This Target has a policy of calling cops to come and drag you outside. If you have disabilities, be aware that Target does not want you at this store. You’re putting your safety at risk by shopping here.

If you take too long at the self checkout, they will literally call the police on you and have you wrongfully arrested and beaten by the police.

Every employee here is evil and should be in prison. They have a clear bias against mentally handicapped people. This is so wrong. Disgusting and absolutely inexcusable.

Recently utilized the new drive up return feature at Target and I now strongly believe all retailers with pickup/drive up options should offer this. They usually have quick service for shopping and order readiness for pickup, and once you’ve arrived the wait time is not long. Target has become my go to when I need something in a timely manner, especially same day within a few hours or less.

Love Target!! I can wander around this store for a long time. I see Target as an upgraded Walmart. I love the clothes selections and the work out clothes section too. The JoyLab sweatpants are great! I also found some deals in the clearance section this time. I found some great gluten free options too in the food section. I’m looking forward to have a GF brownie in a cup later tonight. 😋 please note… do not try to kick the big red ball outside of Target… those are concrete and I’ve seen many people injure a foot trying to kick it. 😳 If you read this please click “like”… it helps my feelings. Thanks 😊

I have been in the retail business for nearly 30yrs and I have helped so many customers, certain ones with disabilities and I’ve always provided great customer service to them. Never in my life have I seen such disgusting customer service, especially on a disabled man who wanted to buy a bike. Instead using the police card, you could’ve provided some customer service and helped this man. The employees who called the cops should also be held accountable for not even helping the man. The cops instead of arresting the poor man could’ve helped him out and said something like “let me help you out there sir” but, power went to their hear and saw the man (who’s name is Matthew) as an easy target. Thankfully one of the officers got fired Officer Kenneth Skeens who was also involved in a deadly shooting on a drunk man. Great job Target for your customer service I’m giving you a huge 2 finger salute.

As the store first opens in the morning, mind you that restocking is happening and some shelves are not tidy. However, I’m happy to shop, find what I need and ask for help when needed. It’s less complicated when you shop with enough time in your hands. Self-check out isn’t something I’m interested in, unless I’m only getting what I needed. But as long as there’s someone with a pulse present, I’m happy to come back.

This target gets innocent disabled citizens arrested for taking too long at the register. I hope every employee there that day that allowed this ends up in the same scenario medically as him. I would never shop at this place the workers here are scum low life’s that have no consideration of disabled people. I genuinely hope you guys stay bums working at target…

Subject: Urgent Matter – Request for Action Regarding an Incident at Your Albuquerque, New Mexico Store

Target Corporation Corporate Headquarters 1000 Nicollet Mall Minneapolis, MN 55403

    Dear Target Corporate Team,

I am writing to you today as a concerned customer who recently witnessed a deeply troubling video at your Albuquerque, New Mexico store. This incident has left me deeply disturbed and convinced of the urgent need for Target to address the actions of its employees, or in this case, the lack thereof.

I’m certain you’re aware of this incident, yet have seemingly chosen to remain silent, assumably figuring this will blow over and pass.

I’ll reiterate the incident involving a severely mentally disabled man attempting to make a purchase at the self-checkout counter. This man was struggling with the process, clearly in need of assistance, yet none of the store’s employees came forward to help him.

Instead, to my astonishment, I watched as the employees chose to call 911 and report the situation as a mere delay at the checkout. The outcome of this decision was the arrival of law enforcement officers who were entirely unprepared to address the specific needs of the man in question. It was a heartbreaking and distressing experience to witness.

I write to you today not to lay blame but to implore Target Corporation to take immediate and concrete actions to rectify this situation. As a valued customer, I believe in Target’s commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and community engagement. It is crucial that these values extend beyond mere rhetoric and manifest in the actions of your employees on the ground.

I urge you to consider the following steps to address this situation:

    1. Employee Training: Implement comprehensive training programs for all employees to raise awareness about diverse customer needs, including those with disabilities. Equip them with the skills and empathy needed to assist customers in various situations.

    2. Community Engagement: Forge partnerships with local disability organizations and support groups to educate your employees and foster a more inclusive environment within your stores.

    3. Public Apology: A public statement acknowledging the incident and Target’s commitment to preventing such occurrences in the future would go a long way in rebuilding trust with your customers.

    4. Internal Review: Conduct an internal review of your policies and procedures to ensure they align with your company’s values and are designed to prioritize customer well-being over expedience.

By addressing this situation publicly and taking tangible steps to prevent its recurrence, Target can demonstrate its unwavering commitment to being an inclusive, empathetic, and responsible corporate citizen. I believe that by turning this unfortunate incident into an opportunity for positive change, Target can reaffirm its status as a leader in the retail industry.

I kindly request that you keep me informed of the actions taken in response to this letter and the progress made in addressing this issue. I believe that together, we can ensure that every customer, regardless of their circumstances, receives the respect, assistance, and support they deserve when visiting a Target store.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

How disgusting the employees and management must be at this store to call the police on a disabled man trying to make a purchase. When calling the store the phone just rang and then hung up. When calling back the person just answered with just a Hello. This store needs some huge upgrade in customer service. Maybe Target needs to lose more customers to understand what having customers actually means.

  1. This is probably one of the nicest-looking Target stores in all of Albuquerque. It has a nice store design and is very well stocked.

The downside is that it is extremely busy no matter what time of day you go. If you’re not into crowds I’d stay away from this one.

However, the busy aspect of it is also part of it’s charm.

The snack bar and Starbucks located on the inside are large and very conducive to hanging out. The parking structure is clean and well lit and well-paved.

The Customer Service is very good. The Staff is very much on-the-ball.

  2. On 10/25/2021 MARVIN worked the self check out are his patience and courtesy was refreshing. So many selections here. I LOVE that I was able to find VEGAN KIMCHI and their Vegan selection is growing. Clean, spacious NO military discount here.

  3. I love everything about Target! I do a lot of online shopping versus in-store for my necessities, and their app is so easy to use when browsing online and in-store items. I love knowing if an item is low in stock, or so low that it can only be picked up in-store. It’s very easy to select backup items from a wide variety of choices, remove, edit, or add to my cart, and I’ve never had a bad experience when picking things up. Unlike the other big box stores, Target has it dialed in!

  4. I have always loved Target but this place is dirty and is not as well kept as it used to be. No customer service. We got Suszie on Isle 5 and she first stated to the customer in front saying, “people always see my hair color and think I can do alcohol” (her hair was grey) so she definitely loves her job. She takes an outstandingly long time with the customer in front. Never said hello or how are you. Told me that she couldn’t lift the water to which I told her to call for assistance. Because she is going to have to call for alcohol clearance anyways. Sat there an additional 7 minutes waiting for assistance. What a joke. Number 1. Maybe take a lesson out of Walmarts book and put signs up for authorized alcohol cashiers. The people around us were amazing and the person who came to assist was very nice. But 1 star for the absolute mess of an experience we had to go through. Won’t be going back.
