the remodel made it more efficient. easier to maneuver a larger vehicle. seems like a lot of employees just stand around though. so if they are meant to do a specific job, I dont really see it. some 9f the staff are rude as well.

Awesome Service!! Took my pick up truck in for a quick wash and I forgot to take my rubber hitch cover so it popped off while my truck was getting washed and I didn’t realize it until later. I immediately called the location and the manager Christine was very friendly and helpful. I went back to the car wash and had someone look for my hitch cover in the tunnel. It took a few minutes since the car wash was busy but she didn’t stop until it was found. Thank you for going above and beyond for a customer!

I visited this location on their free car wash day. Very short line so I was in and out! Highly recommended. 🚙

Overcharging for the vacuums after you already buy even the best car wash. So lame, my bad for assuming the chain would be good in The Sound. Brown Bear sucks wherever you go, and don’t let their claim of preventing congestion seem reasonable, if you leave WA there are many chain car washes that include free vacuums, it’s part of the service!

Edit: I found a much better car wash with vacuums that are superior to and comparable in price at Airport Touchless Car Wash, here the vacuums even have carpet cleaning/shampoo service options!

Great place to get your car washed, but not today. The machine broke when I was in front of the line after waiting 15 minutes. Good people…bad day.

This is my go to Brown Bear. The staff are always attentive and friendly. Whenever Giovanni there he’s professional and positive and leaves a lasting impression in an environment where it’s easy to treat customers as another transaction. Good job Brown Bear team. Keep up the great work.

Terrific ladies here scrubbed my car before going through, and even offered to remove my antenna so it wouldn’t get damaged, and put it back on at the end of the wash. Very helpful, I’ll be back for sure.

I dislike the fact you have to pay to vacuum after you wash your car. It is cool if you want a quick wash. I wouldn’t recommend you getting a membership

The Ultimate Guide to Car Wash Clearances Across the US

Most car washes have a clearance of around 7-8 feet, which is suitable for the majority of regular-sized vehicles. This clearance allows for cars, SUVs, and small trucks to easily pass through the car wash tunnel without any issues. However, it is important to note that larger vehicles such as vans, RVs, and some trucks may have difficulty fitting under the clearance height.

  • Cars: Car washes are designed to accommodate standard-sized cars, so there should be no clearance issues for most sedans and compact cars.

  • SUVs and Crossovers: The majority of SUVs and crossover vehicles should also fit comfortably under the typical car wash clearance height.

  • Small Trucks: Many small trucks, such as the Toyota Tacoma or Ford Ranger, have a lower roof height compared to full-size trucks, allowing them to pass through most car washes without any problems.

However, there are some vehicles that may exceed the standard car wash clearance height. These include:

  • Vans: Vans, especially those with extended roofs or raised tops, may not fit under the typical car wash clearance height. It is recommended to check with the car wash facility before attempting to bring a van through the wash.

  • RVs and Motorhomes: Larger recreational vehicles and motorhomes generally have a higher roof clearance, which may not be compatible with standard car washes. Specialized RV wash facilities are available for these vehicles.

  • Tall Trucks: Some lifted trucks or trucks with aftermarket modifications, such as a raised suspension or larger tires, may exceed the standard car wash clearance height. In such cases, it is advisable to find a car wash that can accommodate taller vehicles.

Overall, if you are unsure about whether your vehicle will fit under the clearance of a car wash, it is always best to contact the facility directly and inquire about their specific clearance measurements. This will help avoid any potential damage or inconvenience during the car wash process.

How much does it cost to wash your car in the USA?

Here are some factors that can affect the cost of car washes in the USA:

  • Type of car wash: The type of car wash you choose will have a big impact on the cost. Automatic car washes are typically less expensive than touchless car washes, and full-service car washes are the most expensive.
  • Location: The location of the car wash can also affect the cost. Car washes in urban areas are typically more expensive than car washes in rural areas.
  • Size of the car: The size of your car will also affect the cost of the car wash. Larger cars will typically cost more to wash than smaller cars.
  • Additional services: You may also choose to add additional services to your car wash, such as undercarriage cleaning, tire shine, or interior vacuuming. These additional services will typically cost extra.

Here is a table of some average car wash prices in the USA:

Type of car wash Average price
Basic automatic car wash $10 – $20
Touchless car wash $15 – $30
Full-service car wash $20 – $50

It is important to note that these are just average prices, and the actual cost of a car wash may vary depending on the factors listed above.

Here are some tips for saving money on car washes:

  • Wash your car yourself: This is the most cost-effective way to clean your car.
  • Look for coupons or discounts: Many car washes offer coupons or discounts, so be sure to check before you go.
  • Wash your car during off-peak hours: Car washes are typically more expensive during peak hours, so try to wash your car during off-peak hours to save money.
  • Consider a membership: Some car washes offer memberships that can save you money on washes over time.

  1. Multiple items missing from vehicle after detailed. Was not up to par the first time I was told it was done. They kept it for another 2 hours still dirt in spots and wax left in multiple areas. Windows are filthy and smeared. Read the reviews on this place. I’ve been a customer for over 15 years and they lost my business after an AirTag and straps from my vehicle were stolen. Police report filed and will never give them my business again. Sticky fingers and poor quality. If I could give negative stars I would.

Update: After speaking with the company president I was given some stolen goods back and money towards the other items but all I heard in the conversation was excuses for the workers. Such as he was tired, he had a bad day, he doesn’t know how to read. All these excuses are irrelevant to the fact that there is theft at this business. I appreciate some funds back but the hassle and poor customer service will guarantee that I never return. CLASSY CHASSIS EMPLOYS THIEVES!

  2. I really enjoy visiting Classy Chassis. They have always been very honest about what my car needs. They give me options and never pressure me into buying anything. They are also very quick at servicing my vehicle. I am usually in and out within 10-15 minutes. This includes getting my oil changed, checking tire pressure, checking the deterioration of my wind shield wipers, checking both filters etc. You also get a complimentary car wash too. The employees are always friendly and seem happy to help. Cannot recommend them enough.

  3. Longtime customer. I have the monthly unlimited wash here and have always been satisfied with that service. I received an email for $10 off a mini detail service, so I decided to give it a go. Arrived at my appointment early, as there was a walk around of the car with a service writer. After looking over my car (a MINI Roadster), the service writer informed me that it would cost extra for the vacuuming. The regular price for the 3 hour service is $89.99 + tax. The cost for the extra vacuuming was $45 for 30 minutes. That’s half the cost of the entire service! I had to sign that I declined the extra $45 charge. Granted, there was some extra debris in my trunk, but there is no way that it would take an extra half hour to remove it, unless they were doing it with tweezers. I had also taken everything out of my car to make cleaning it easier. I’m currently waiting on the service, so will update this when it’s done.

Edit: I do want to say that all of the service folks I spoke to were welcoming and professional.

Edit 2: just got my car back within the time quoted and the technicians did a beautiful job. I used the upsale money to tip them. Updating rating to 5🌟

  4. Love this place. The employees are all friendly and helpful. The vacuums are always in good working order. They have a large waiting room inside and a place outside for customers getting their cars detailed.
UPDATE: I Forgot to mention one very important thing. The restroom was the cleanest public restroom I have EVER been in. On my way out I said and I meant it, “Whoever cleaned that bathroom deserves a raise”. It turns out it was the young lady at the front counter who did it. I didn’t get her name but it was Wednesday, 08/30/23 around 2:30 or 3:00.

  5. I have always taken my car to classy chassis for hand wash and was great but the last time was not. I have a black car and my paint on hood and top was messed up. It appears a brush or rag with sticky stuff was used. I filled out an incident report and have not heard a word from them. Will have to take it to shop to get it fixed. They did not have the decency to call and say we are sorry or anything. They have seen the last of my business. Now I have to pay out of pocket.
