I would give zero stars if I could. After getting one of the most expensive wash some of the car came out dry, they let me run it again for free and it was just a little more wet/clean. Front dash was only half wiped clean. I have attached a picture. I should have listen to my dad and have gone down the street at the $3 wash. Waste of $34. Will never go back again. On the second run only half the car was dryed while the manager and 2 other employees just stood around talking to each other giggling. I don’t even write reviews but this place needed one. Only old people were there getting their car clean probably due to the indoor waiting area. If you go get the the cheapest wash. Usually business perform a service with love, but this place it felt like they purposely did it with hate. I went here years ago and it was bad, I figured let me try it again, maybe they got better but the truth is the service got worse. Do your self a favor, go to Belvidere, or machesney.

Great Place and very friendly staff. Got my moneys worth. The young men and woman there are truly into what they do. Good to see a new and younger work force.

I don’t think this is the place to go to to get a good wash, maybe something for like a spot clean. I did a 350 mile road trip and figured I’d get a car wash. It did not get any of the bug splatter and the entire front of my car looks shiny with bugs all over it. A waste of 18 bucks if you ask me.

As much as things have changed in Rockford, some things have to stay the same. A desire to serve the customer and give them a value that they can hang their Hat on, unfortunately, this particular car wash has not done that. And quite frankly, I don’t think they ever will. It is my belief that they’re only intention based on The Times that I abuse them. Is to make as much money as they can. Prior to leaving Rockford. Which I believe it’s going to be the end result. And that’s unfortunate.

Hey MISTER MANAGEMENT CHECK HOW YOUR CAR WASH ITS RUNNING. Bad service, I even got asked if I wanted to tip them when I pay for the package that I wanted before they did the service, people please don’t do that, do not tip before the job it’s done, because they don’t deserve it, they are not even busy there is not even a single car in line and it’s like 4 employees working in one car and they can’t do their job right, you ask to have your interior clean and you are just waisting your money, they don’t care, it’s not what it use to be and it’s sad.

I purchase the $25 car wash. Really make on truck shine. All I recommend is wiping it down might a good microfiber cloth after you go through otherwise you end up with a ton of white specs all over. Besides that great place to go.

Question!? How does the wash know who chose what wash. The car next to me pulled off the same time as I did. I feel I didn’t get my $25.00 wash, plus my car wasn’t fully cleaned. I bought that package for a reason. Just curious how it knows, not saying their shady or anything.

My son was charged twice for a $25 car wash. He let them know that same day. They told him a manager would call him to give a refund. Never got a call. I called again and left a voicemail to explain again what happened. Waiting for a response. If it’s refunded, I’ll update the rating.

Really bummed out with the service here lately. Been a regular since they first opened, shelling out $40 a month, and it felt like they didn’t value my loyalty when I couldn’t find my sticker and was refused a car wash.

Also, they’re pulling the plug on the vacuums up to an hour early before closing, which isn’t cool for those of us trying to squeeze in a late clean.

If you’re in the same boat, you might want to check out Tommy’s Express down the street. They’re cheaper, open later, and seem to really care about their customers. Hate to say it, but they’ve got a much better vibe. Hoping this place steps it up, because it wasn’t always like this.

The vacuums are GREAT! They also offer a pre-wash “do it yourself bug scrub” which is nice (but the brush would scratch paint so stick to windows and headlamps). Where they fall short is on the wash itself. Higher priced (but not the highest in the area) and it still doesn’t work well for modern cars/suv’s with the rear window “wind dam”/over hang. It creates about a 4inch section of the rear window that never gets cleaned. Also pay close attention because twice now I have not gotten the “level” of clean I paid for.

The Ultimate Guide to Car Wash Clearances Across the US

Most car washes have a clearance height that is suitable for the majority of vehicles on the road. The standard clearance height for most car washes ranges from 7 to 8 feet, which is sufficient to accommodate most cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks. This ensures that vehicles can pass through the car wash without causing any damage to the vehicle or the car wash equipment.

Here are some key points about car wash clearances:

  • The average clearance height of most car washes is around 7 to 8 feet.
  • This clearance height is suitable for the majority of cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks.
  • Compact cars and smaller vehicles will have no issues with the standard clearance height.
  • Taller vehicles, such as vans, tall SUVs, and some trucks, might have to consider alternative options.
  • Some car washes offer a higher clearance option to accommodate taller vehicles.
  • It’s always advisable to check with the car wash facility beforehand if you have a taller vehicle.
  • If a car wash does not have enough clearance, it can potentially cause damage to the vehicle, such as scratches or roof damage.

Overall, most car washes are designed to cater to a wide range of vehicles and provide a clearance height that is suitable for the average vehicle on the road. However, it’s important to be aware of your vehicle’s dimensions and consider alternative options if you have a taller vehicle that may not fit within the standard clearance height. Checking with the car wash facility beforehand can help ensure a smooth and safe car wash experience for your vehicle.

  1. Everyone was nice and friendly except for the manager. Very clear he needs remedial training and only God knows how he got that position. I am a brand new customer and had concerns about the vacuum suction and the duct tape all over the equipment. His answer was do you want to cancel because this is the best you are going to get. Now it is apparent he knows nothing about even trying to keep customers due to his total lack of knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of customer service. I don’t believe the owners objective is to lose customer or money but so be it. I canceled because I have options and because of the manager who lacks the training needed to explain what is being done to rectify problems and concerns with the establishment. Paying 40 dollars a month is excessive for faulty and inadequate equipment. He needs to be fired. On a positive note there are other very pleasant people that work there that expressed concern when I mentioned to inadequacies

  2. I did the $10 car wash. It didn’t even get the bugs off my windshield or from the front of my car. I did complain and a worker applied “bug prep” sent me thru the car wash a second time and again the car comes out dirty. Still have squashed bugs on the windshield. Would not recommend and would not go back.

  3. I bought a month car pass. I’ll keep you updated! I have a Honda Civic coupe and the wash missing the little window driver/passenger?
The wash line is timed very tight from stage to stage?
My finial thoughts of one month of car wash:
The timeline is so tight of each stage of the car wash. Possibly of not getting what you payed for. It’s new technology: I’m not buying it!!! Most of all wash finial rinse sucks! The chemicals get blown off versus rinsed off! Water spots! Chemical spots?

  4. I always see workers doing their jobs….if my vacuum doesn’t work they are right their. I never have a problem when I come to clean my car. Wish I could own 1 just like it!!!! I would refer anyone to Rainstorm Car Wash….

  5. Expensive. Car still had bird droppings and road grime. Finally covered with water spots. This was with the second most expensive wash. Only positive are free values that are outstanding. They appear to have eliminated the matt cleaning machine.
