A few weeks ago I stopped here to get my mother’s car washed. I am not sure if this is the same ownership but over 20 years ago we used to bring our cars here and we were satisfied with the services. I brought the car to the attendant on this visit, I explained to the gentleman that within whatever services they offer that I wanted the most of what they do for cleaning the inside of the car. I think we decided on a wash that was roughly $22 and the car was run through. The staff was very nice and left out all items that had since been forgotten that were under the seats. We were able to find them as soon as we got in the car. What I didn’t like, was the fact that the inside of my mother’s car was so dusty that I could tell and see where they cut corners. They basically wiped the inside of the windshield and did not get above the rearview mirror and the same kind of process was done with the back windshield as well. My mother doesn’t drive her car very often, so it really needed a good Windex and wiping down. I was not expecting a full detail service, but the fact that so many corners were cut wiping down the glass kind of made me a little upset. For a $22 car wash they could’ve at least gotten into the corners of all the windows. I did not say anything and I also tipped well so I feel like my feedback should be taken as constructive criticism and not someone who just wants to complain.

I use to go here because it was so good. I went on Tuesday, looked in the car and the vacuum was not up to my standards. One of the guys couldn’t wait to get to his phone. I paid $35.00 and had to ask the two guys working on my car to fix what was not done. Paid for mats to be clean and they did not do the one in the back. There is a lot of competition in Libertyville, one right up the street. I will not be coming back.

I’ve been a customer for years, but today is my last day. I was going to renew my annual car wash pass (which costs $1000). I paused at the register when I read that there would be a 4% credit card fee (to my knowledge, it is illegal in the state of Illinois to have such a high surcharge). I asked the owner about the charge. Mind you, I’m a young woman, speaking calmly. Without hesitation, he immediately began *yelling at me*. Actually yelling: “WE’VE LET CUSTOMERS KNOW ABOUT THIS FOR A YEAR! IT’S HOW WE DO BUSINESS!!!!” He continued to rant, but I gave him a chance to rectify the situation, reminding him that I’ve been a loyal customer (along with my entire family) for years and that it wasn’t necessary to yell at me. He went on to scream that he was confident in his ability to find new customers and that he didn’t need my business. Truly an unhinged interaction. Until now, I’ve looked the other way on the shoddy nature of this business, since it’s the most convenient car wash option. But let’s be honest at this point: the cash register staff are completely unprofessional (I regularly hear them casually dropping the F Bomb). Moreover, the washes themselves often leave much to be desired. It saddens me to see this in Libertyville, but I’m looking forward to finding another small business to support.

I just took one of my cars here for the third time, thinking they are going to get better, but after this one, I had to leave a review. $37 dollars for the wash I chose, probably worth $5 dollars at a gas station. Took 50 minutes to be done with only 2 cars in front of me. They take the mats out and leave them on your seats, which in turn makes your seats dirty. Since I paid for the seat wipe down, I didn’t think anything of it. WRONG. All seats are dirty, all weather mats still dirty, carpet barely vacuumed car was “done” with water still all over it. Now since it’s dry, doesn’t even look like it’s washed. Did the spray sealant…the sealant reservoir is empty and squirts out little bubbles that don’t even touch the car. Interior carpets completely soaked in water since they don’t know how to spray door jams. Used the same brush they used on the wheels, on the paint. Honestly, absolute trash. Very very very poor quality of work and I do not recommend this place to anyone. If you care about your money, do not take your car here. They bank on the dealer accounts that they have and don’t care about the regular customers that come in. 0 stars. I hope the owner sees this and does something. Highway robbery.

Use service periodically – went today and it was the worst experience. Asked for outside car wash only. The woman started vacuuming my car. I immediately went out and told her it was outside wash only. She did not appear to understand what I was saying and went to get another employee. After that, they took my car around to the car wash. Once in the car wash- the same woman picked up a hard bristle brush to wash my wheels, which is fine, but then she proceeded to use the same brush to wash my actual car! I immediately went out to tell her to use the soft wash mitt to wash the car. Again, she did not understand and I had to speak to another employee to get them to understand the need to use the soft mitt. After that, the same woman picked up the wash mitt to wash my wheels. I then had to explain that using the brush on the wheels is fine, wash mitt is to be used on the car. It is a good thing I was watching or it is possible my car would have been scratched or otherwise damaged. Honestly terrible service. The people working the car wash clearly don’t know what they are doing. Several other customers were watching as well and appalled at the lack of knowledge the employees had on which items were appropriate to use. l will not back and would strongly recommend others take a pass as well.

I haven’t been to auto expo in years and now I remember why. It’s apparently really hard to clean the interior of a car it would seem. I paid for the #5 package and while the outside of my Jeep looks great, it would seem that the inside was completely neglected except for the floor mats. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Stopped by for first time. I have been driving past this place every day and it’s always super packed. I came in late morning and it wasn’t super busy. I waited about 20-25 minutes total. They vacuumed my car really well and then hand washed it and hand dried it. I was pretty impressed. Too bad they don’t have monthly memberships. I will be coming again.

  1. Alex took care of us with Great Customer Service. The two gentlemen that cleaned/waxed/polished the vehicles did an amazing job. I didn’t get their names. My go to car wash in Lake County.

  2. The quality of wash is getting worse and worse. With a medium SUV they charge $3 extra on top of at minimum $30 wash.
The roof, front windshield, and bottom of the doors are barely touched.
I don’t mind wiping job of my own after $15 wash, but after spending $33 and tip, doing again? I don’t think so.

  3. Came here because my car was real dirty from the salt on the outside and the inside needed to be cleaned too. I got the #3 which was $35 since it said they would vacuum, get the door jambs, center console, wipe the seats, and dry with the microfiber towel. They literally didn’t do any of that lol. I hate writing bad reviews but there were like 5-6 people cleaning my car and when they got done in under 10 mins and said it was ready, they were all standing there looking at me as if I needed to give them a tip. I’m glad I didn’t… I just got in my car and drove away because I hate confrontation. Save your money and go somewhere else.

  4. If you have a dog or kids, this is not the car wash for you. I paid $40 and it honestly didn’t look like they even tried to vacuum. I absolutely acknowledge that dog hair is difficult to remove but I have a little $30 car vacuum from Amazon that removed 90% of it. I would expect their industrial cleaning vacuum and the $40 I spent to do a better job. The outside looked great though. 2/5 stars.

  5. If I could give a zero I would! I brought my mother in laws car in for an interior/exterior was. We told the servicemen it was really dirty (in need of vacuuming and wiping. Nothing more serious). We paid for the top service they offered (nothing else was offered) and paid an extra$5 for bug protection totaling $50. I got the car to get it out of the way and wait for my wife. She looked at the car and asked if they finished. I said yes at which point she points out the interior dash, doors, jam basically nothing was cleaned. It was wiped but with a dry cloth. Not cleaned. The back of the car bumper even had dirt and dust on it questioning if they even used water. It took less than 10 mins to get their top tier service. When we brought this up to the service men we were told if we wanted the inside wiped/ cleaned we should have gotten a detail! WTH!!?? They then chose not to make it right. I wish I would not have tipped them before entering the vehicle because that was an additional$15. So we spent $65 to come home and end up cleaning our car ourselves anyway. I have a feeling the Better Business Bureau needs to hear about their business practices!STAY FARRRR AWAY FROM HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE GIVING MONEY AWAY!
