3 months agoEvery time I come here, it’s always extremely messy. These photos are just from the main aisle. Doesn’t show the truth on how bad it really was yesterday. The manager is not doing their job. I only know this because this store is the worst Ross I have been to in Missouri. If I could give zero stars I would!2 months agoSad to say everytime I come into town and visit this store in Independence, Mo. it gets worse and worse. I dont think the blame can totally be on the store either. The customers are the cause of the way it looks. I feel like I am walking into a Goodwill Store when shopping there. But I will say they have some good deals on clothes iF you can ever sort through the mess.4 months agoI was able to get several red dresses, as needed. The line was long, but everyone is seeking help. Their prices are great. $14 for a dress. It is worth a visit!in the last weekThis place is a disaster. It looks like a tornado came through it. I was there on Thursday and it was spotless. So all you customers out there, show a little respect and manners and put stuff back where you got them instead of throwing it all over the floor and on top of the racks. I’d hate to see what you all’s homes look like!!a year agoWow was I surprised! This is not one of my favorite stores. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the changes in the store from what I have seen in years past, as well as the selection. The store was very organized, had lots of items to choose from of products that I like and look for, plenty of name brand items, and overall their household goodies were by far the best I’ve seen at a Ross store. Again I do not normally shop here but I was happy that a friend made me go in!
Hopefully you like some of the items that I found. I could not take enough pictures of everything because there was so much! So if you’re looking for a great place with low pricing for gifts, household Decor, winter wear accessories, and more, this particular store would definitely be one of the spots to check out. Thanks Ross for stepping up your game!

2 months agoAlways too crowded! Isles are small and hard to get through. It’s a decent place for clothes if you come on the right day, but it’s a complete gamble. If you’re looking for a peaceful shop do NOT come here. My anxiety always spikes here and usually I’m fine while shopping. Would not recommenda month agoAlways a good experience just wish there mens shoe rack wasn’t all messy and in order of sizes like it shows on wall above, but what can ya do its gets pretty busy there so other then that ill return.. Not bad for $19.99 work shoesa month agoEvery time I come in here, I feel incredibly unwelcome and stereotyped. They act as if they’ve never seen an emo or goth person before. They follow me around and suspect me of stealing constantly.I’m just browsing their horribly unorganized store trying to find anything that fits me.
I’d give them zero stars, but I guess being judged is the price you pay for cheap clothing. I’d rather just go to a thrift store.
a week agoThe place us always a mess and they never have enough check out lanes. But if you’re willing to put up with it you can save a lot of money.2 months agoThis store is a wreck! An entire wall of men’s shoes & not a single one in any kind of size order style order nothing. It does NO good to have inventory if it’s so unorganized that no one can find a size. I’ll pay more to not have the chaos. 🙁

The store is a mess! Merchandise is thrown everywhere, you can’t find what you are looking for because there is so much junk that doesn’t belong in that area. This is not something that has been since the store opened today, this mess is days if not weeks of neglect. Never anymore than 2 cashiers working. I counted 12 people in line waiting, and one of the cashiers was down waiting on a supervisor. I asked if I could leave my items and pick them up and pay later as I was on my lunch break and had to get back. This was after waiting in the checkout line for more than 10 minutes. I was rudely told no, we don’t do holds. So, I left my cart of 19 items and left. I won’t go back until this store improves its appearance and appeal. It looks like like a hoarder works there! Or several.
I bought a size smaller of these yesterday. According to the cashier, the price written on the bottom of those shoes was $20.00. The price is that silver marker that is not legible on this pair or the other pair that I exchanged. I was charged more than what the cashier priced these shoes as which was $20.00. See receipt for the “vector quiet” price of $24.99.
Also, when I first went to just return the wrong size shoes that I purchased yesterday, I was told I would not be able to because I didn’t have the shoe price tag. I did not remove the shoe price tag. Since I did not have the shoe price tag, the cashier said I could not return them because the $20.00 price written on the bottom of the shoe in silver did not match what was on the receipt. I commented/questioned that I didn’t pay the right price for them yesterday to which there was no response from the cashier.
My fiancé and I found the same shoes in different sizes in this store and took them to the front. He pointed out to loss prevention that the price tags are put under the security tags. Which makes it seem like the cashier could have easily removed the price tag when she removed the security tag yesterday. Loss prevention stated the stock people place the price tags under the security tags and that the cashiers put the shoe price tag in the shoe when they are cashing customers out. I believe the cashier did not put the price tag in the shoe which is why I did not have it when I went to first just return them.
At the end, I did not just return the shoes, I exchanged them for a size bigger. Still for the price of $24.99 which is different from what the cashier said of $20.00.
So my suggestions: find a different placement for the price tag, make sure the price on the bottom matches the price tag, and please don’t be distracted that you forgot to place the shoe price tag in the shoe.
If there is a video of the cashier placing the price tag in the shoe yesterday, I would be happy to apologize for thinking and typing here that I believe the cashier made the mistake of not giving the price tag in the shoe.
I like the Ross stores. This experience was just annoying for me. So this rating is based solely on this one time.
Lots of men’s, women’s, toddler, big kid and baby clothes here. Lots of miscellaneous items as well. Men’s, boys, women’s and kids shoes.
The only down side that I’ve run into is. I don’t know when their shipment comes in on new things.
Love Ross!
I spend forever in there because i just want to buy everything! They need to keep up on being organized though
I used to go there all the time but it now takes way too long to check out. The shelves are disheveled and on the weekends forget it. Early, during the week is better.
