This place looked as if it had a “half off everything” sale, empty/ disheveled aisles — although they do have a pleasant staff working for them. Everyone I spoke with went above and beyond to assist me. This is also a great place for holiday decor.

Employees are nice but this store is always picked over and a hot mess. The shelves were nearly empty today and when I asked when the next shipment was coming in the associate asked if I wanted a stocking job. Plus the hours on Google are never right. Always call first.

1] staff are polite. 2] updated open hours. 3] Most things are in stock, except toys (maybe only 20% than used to be).

It’s a dollar store. Things are a dollar, no more. I was in there today. Usually their crafts sections is filled, as well as have more crafts than any Ypsi store. But, today, it was kinda bleh. However, I’ll continue going to this one because they have better stuff. =)

This store is in awful condition, there are unopened stock boxes stacked up in the aisles, products on the floor thrown around in every aisle. It is a complete safety hazard for the customers. Sadly last night, there were only two employees in the whole store, a cashier and a stocker. I wonder what OSHA would think about the condition of the place for the worker safety. I feel so bad for the employees! I will not be back to the store!

I thought it might be a fluke once. But, every single time I have gone it is the same. Store is a disaster. Boxes all over. Products just thrown everywhere (I assume a lot thrown around up front as people just leave cause the line is 30 minutes long). That’s the next thing. No matter what, there is one cashier and the manager will not come help with the line that’s to the back of the store nearly. Then there is two lines forming for one cashier and no one knows whose really next! Today, another customer asked an employee if he could get on a register and he says “I’m not trained in register”. Train your darn employees if you are only going to have two so they both can do register! The poor cashier looked like she was about to cry and break down. I felt bad for her. I’ve tried a couple times just thinking it was flukes. But, I won’t be back to this store. It’s always a 30 minute wait when I’m just trying to run in and out for something quick.

I was highly disturbed by the condition of the store. There were unopened cartons everywhere and merchandise tossed off shelves and scattered on the floor. I imagine it was a seasonal change of merchandise, and most likely a shortage of staff but not pleasant to experience. Staff were pleasant however!

They need help!! and DollarTree is a large enough corporation to get it for them. Send the big wigs in, if need be, do something to help those poor employees. The store looks like it was looted- boxes everywhere, product thrown everywhere, just a mess. Help them!

This dollar tree needs to close or rethink some staff. Not to mention the store is dirty, dark and cluttered. An older employee was filling balloons and there was a line of about 10 people waiting. She started saying derogatory remarks about other employees, then cuss in front of customers, then got in a heated fight with the younger cashier who was just asking for help. It was so awkward and I can’t believe any of establishment allows that behavior, if I could give this store a 0 I would. I will never go back and I feel bad for the cashier. Please be kind.

  1. Again this is one of the newer stores in Detroit and it’s kept very well clean the associates are very friendly and I love the wide variety Arts and crafts item that they have four little children and their teachers corner especially since I’m homeschooling my Preschooler, it’s very affordable to provide her with early learning materials. I really like the fact that they’re open early and stay open late.

  2. Dollar tree working closed the store a hour early could not get my mom a card on mother day and there was a line outside

  3. Stop here just to grab a few things. I’m not too surprised about it, but I did not getting greeted upon entering. Cashier was not welcoming at all as if she didn’t care about her customers but more engaged with her coworkers. No thank you or have a nice day when I checked out. It’s very sad that we pay these individuals to do a service for us. No smile or light conversation. Just take our money and sho us on our way. I don’t know but if you are a store manager of this store you need to teach your staff about customer service. That’s a big thing to most of your customers. Customer service is free and appreciated. Losing customers is what you need to strive not to do. Do better!!!
