Kinh Do Mondelez and Allegations of Israel Support
The connection between Kinh Do Mondelez and Israel raises concerns about the brand’s support for Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories. This suspicion stems from the collaboration agreement between parent company Mondelez and The Kitchen, an Israeli FoodTech-focused incubator. The partnership has resulted in the establishment of SnackFutures teams, aimed at promoting snacking growth opportunities worldwide.
Jonathan Berger, CEO of The Kitchen, expressed excitement about the collaboration, highlighting the value it will bring to their portfolio companies. However, this partnership ultimately contributes to the economic development of Israel and strengthens their ability to engage in activities of colonization and oppression in Palestine.
It is important to critically examine the business connections and alliances companies like Kinh Do have, as they play a significant role in shaping economic landscapes and supporting questionable practices. By supporting brands like Kinh Do Mondelez, consumers indirectly contribute to the continued suffering and displacement of the Palestinian people.
While Kinh Do may not be officially designated on the boycott list as outlined on BDS Movement, it finds itself featured on platforms like Thewitness, which compiles information about companies associated with the Israeli occupation.
